Well, personally I don't have a car on campus but I do have friends that drive. Although there may not be 'prime' parking spaces there is always a space available in the parking garage even if you have to go to the fourth floor

I have lived on-campus for nearly two semesters here at UCF and it has been a great experience so far. The campus is beautiful and teaming with life and exuberance. I really enjoy that with in the dorm community there are places for the residents to enjoy themselves. For example there are a few courtyards with benches and tables and many afternoons have been spent by my friends and me; doing homework, hanging out or just spending time outside. We also have the Libra Community Center and just about every week my friends and I pool together our resources and cook a meal for all of us to sit down and enjoy. UCF has really fostered a sense of community within myself. I love this school.

Transportation is great. For the of student off campus housing, UCF offers a shuttle that runs every 15 min to take students on campus. It stops running at 10pm. It's very convenient for students that don't have a car. In the area everything is right there. Walmart and Publix are up the street, many gas stations, food places, and etc. Other than UCF offering transporation, Orlando has the Lynx bus system which you can go anywhere in Central Florida.

The night life is pretty good. The majority of clubs are in downtown Orlando which is 15-20 minutes away from the campus.

Awesome Gym Classes and Sports – UCF has an amazing gym and has different workouts for everybody. From yoga to swimming. We have military bootcamp, cardio, and running. We have a variety of spots and even some karate classes. I love our climbing wall. It's a great workout. We also have personal trainers. I love this so much. There is a club for any interest.

Haven't Had Any Major Problems – The only problem I have ever encountered personally was receiving a grant two weeks before the semester ended, which obviously wasn't helpful in regards to paying tuition in the beginning of the semester. I have had a lot of friends have major problems. I would suggest staying on top of holds and to do's listed on your MyUCF.

Sports Are Growing – Over the years I have been at UCF, we have definitely grown in the athletics department. Our football team has even changed divisions, going from being in C-USA to the Big East. We also have been doing well in basketball. There is a plethora of other sports and IM sports for anyone who wants to play in their free time. There is school spirit but there could be more.

Lots of Options – There is a lot of options when it comes to dining at UCF. My favorites are chick-fil-a and Wackadoos (they have the best pulled pork sandwiches). Other options include Asian Choa, Subway, Sbarros, Jimmy Johns, Qdoba, Natures Table, etc. There is definitely something for everyone.

Event Management – The workload is very light, and it is not very selective so there are students who try and coast by with doing nothing at all. Unique aspect of the program is a 3 semester internship fulfillment in order to graduate. This ensures that you will have experience in which to find a job after graduation.

There are many sororities and frat houses at UCF, but you dont have to go to one to be cool. The houses are awesome and they have a lot of events.
College Senior 2012-03-28T20:41:32Z
Housing Is Plentiful – There is much to choose from in the UCF area, but much of it is not within a reasonable price range.

Sports Are Awesome – UCF has every sport you could imagine, and a beautiful, well-constructed place to have each event.

Reflection Pond, Memory Mall, and More. The campus has many things to offer, a gorgeous gym, tons of places to eat, lots of places to sit outside with a beautiful pond or building to look at. It is also in Orlando where there is tons to do!

The computer labs are easily accessable all around campus and the math lab can get crowded at times but mostly is a good place to do math homework.

I really like it. You have different places to study and the services that offers campus are always helpful. I like that campus is around a nice area where I can hang out after class and I don't need my car most of the time.

Local weather in campus can somewhat affects us, specially during hurricane season. However, campus have implemented safety issues and have successfully prepared us in case of any emergency. Due to some unexpected changes in weather, sometimes classes need to be cancel and reschedule. The rest of the year is a very nice weather, because it lets students hang around campus more often

Health & Safety:
We Feel Safe in Campus – I feel confident of the security that campus is currently providing. I haven't feel unsafe or feeling frightened by crime or safety issues. Fortunately, my campus offers a variety of services to students such as the campus police and late knight pick up van when you don't feel secure walking around campus late at night.

It's Been Going Smoothly – I received a good amount of money from grants and Bright futures, I just suggest applying early and apply for as many scholarships possible

Public Relations Program – At UCF you have to be accepted into the PR program because there are too many applicants. I chose this field because I can get a job in many different organizations. I hope I will be able to find a good job after I graduate.

Large Campus – The weather in Florida is beautiful, so the only thing that negatively affects my time walking around campus is when it rains in the summer. Then, an umbrella is really needed because of the downpours. But, the rain doesn't last long so I can always duck into a building until it stops.

Friendly Campus – The students at UCF are very friendly. I transferred over in my junior year and have made a lot of people. It is especially fun at football games and tailgating. It really is a very social and fun campus.

I drive myself to school and back home. The gas prices have been rising but my car gets good gas mileage so I fill up every 1 1/2 weeks and sometimes less if I have to drive far for clinicals. There is a public bus that provides transportation but I prefer not to use it.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
