Sports Equal College! Athletic events are a huge part of college life at UCF. Some of my best memories happened at football games and basketball games! Our football team has won many conference championships and our mens basketball team is really good too! Our women's soccer team has been ranked in the top ten of the country! Students at UCF are very involved in athletic events! School spirit is apart of everything that happens on campus and I take pride in being a knight!

Very Diverse – UCF is very diverse. On campus there is many different races and ethnicities. We have lots of clubs and groups promoting the different cultures that are apart of our college community. Every week there are events spreading awareness and educating students about the different cultures.

The policies are only strict when you live in on campus housing. In on campus housing if you are caught most people get kicked off campus housing almost automatically. The only way it is really a negative side affect, because you can get blamed by affiliation if your friends have some.

One Is Easy and the Other Is Extremely Competitive – I am a double major. My first major is Accounting. At my school, as soon as you have a certain amount of credit hours you can assume Accounting as your declared major. So right now for myself, my major stands at Accounting Pending because I haven't met the credit hour marker. As for my other major, Film- Cinema Studies, is a temporary major until I apply and hopefully get accepted into the Film program. At my school, the Film program is extremely competitive. Hundreds of students apply each year and only 30-40 get accepted.

Its Nots a Huge Party School – One thing I really like about UCF it is not a huge party school. Though people do party some, no one pressures others to party. It is a fun school without the crazy party scene.

Easy Process – The financial aid process is fairly easy to go through. All you really have to do is have your FAFSA submitted by a certain date. And if they need any documents from you, they'll contact you and you just have to submit them.

Dining Services – On campus, we have some really great resturants to choose from. However, our dinind halls and their costs could use some help. The food isn't all that good. And even though we have many different stations to choose from, it seems as if they always serve the same thing. It doesn't help that all of our meal plans cost over a thousand dollars as well.

Printing is decent on campus in the Student Union. As long as you can make it to one of the printing labs you will a chance to print. On the other hand other places will charge on campus and printing in the library is very challenging.

Public Transportation is very convenient around UCF. There are bus stops not to far from campus. Also, UCF has their own shuttles that pick people up from off campus housing to bring them to campus, and even some of those will drop you off at a public bus stop. Taxis are also very reaidly accessible around campus.

Dining on University – Univeristy Boulevard is located right near campus. It is lined with tons of restaurants on both sides, both dining in and fast food. Examples include: Subway, Applebees, Long John, Ihop, Panera Bread, Chipotle, Pita Pit, Chik Fil A, and many more! It is very convenient for students who don't have cars as they can easily walk down the boulevard and choose something to eat.

Not Too Restrictive – Pretty sure people get away with a lot of things, the security and cops tend to focus on traffic violations than anything.
College Senior 2012-03-05T01:32:59Z
The campus strictness at UCF is pretty fair. The usual no alcohol and no drug paraphernalia are given rules. Offenders for the first time will be warned with alcohol but there is a zero tolerance with drug paraphernalia. If you live on campus, they can revoke your lease and force you to move out for violating the law. They have an extremely strict parking enforcement. Do not try to park on campus without a pass.

Greek life is very prominent at the University of Central Florida. The members of the sorority or fraternities have specialized apparel that help them stand out as House members. They have socials frequently and are known for their parties on and off campus. They also have their own intramural sports teams where they can compete amongst Houses. Because I am not a member of a sorority I find that sometimes girls in one can be the stereotypical college girls just there to party.

Very Diverse Campus – The University of Central Florida is comprised of a diverse population of students and professors. Every class is a melting pot of different ethnicities and cultures where we, as students, are introduced to a diversified education setting. Being the second largest school in the nation, the majority of students have accepted the presence of other cultures and even learned to embrace them.

UCF has a huge variety of options where students can go eat. From salads to chinese food. Pizza from Sbarro, Chick-fil-a., Mexican even sushi.
College Junior 2012-03-04T04:18:23Z
Big on Greek – UCF is big on Greek. The majority of students are involved in a fraternity or sorority, and there are a lot of ongoing events on campus that revolve around Greek life.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
