Happy With Psychology – I plan to become a marriage and relationship therapist with a Psychology degree from UCF. I feel that UCF has a very good and popular Psychology program with many classes to choose from, and I do not regret majoring in Psychology

Orlando, FL – My school is located in Orlando, FL, which is a very tourist-y place with all of the theme parks and attractions around. However, the specific area that my school is in is very much catered to college students and has everything students need.

Nice Environment – I don't feel that my school is too strict or too lenient. I feel that it upholds the standards that a university should.

I Don't Smell It – Drugs are a BIG threat at the University of Central Florida, so I don't see a lot of people testing it out. However, there a LOT of people drinking.

The University of Central Florida in Orlando has so much to offer in terms of entertainment. From Disney World to walking around a beautiful city at night, this area has something fun for everyone.

Wouldn't Change It – A great college for a mix of both academic and social life. I love all the opportunities to play sports here (whether I'm good at them or not) and the professors are very helpful. I am really glad that I picked this school

Sports Key Area – Sports mean alot to UCF. There is big support for our teams and UCF always wants us to go out and support our athletes. Another big sports area is our IM sports because there are alot and UCF does a very good job of handling everything which makes it fun for us and anyone can join.

Gym and Student Union – The facilities at the University of Central Florida are all pretty good but the two that stand out are our gym and student union. The gym has two floors with alot of equipment for working out but also includes basketball, volleyball, racquetball, and indoor soccer courts along with a Subway. The gym is very nice with new equipment. The student union has all the facilities a student would need. There are many restaurants to choose from but also has many academic needs such as study rooms and the SGA is located there. Both these facilities are top notch at UCF.

UCF is a great place to develop. The programs are great, and there are some really cool traditions such as spirit splash. There is lots to do, and lots to learn here

There is great diversity on campus. From whites to asians to blacks to hispanic, there are various races as well as religious beliefs

There is no open-container rules prohibiting alcohol, except to those under age. That is a nice freedom to have.

The UCF area is very developed with a lot of chain places as opposed to unique local places.

Pretty Decent – Some of the off campus apartments are affiliated with UCF and offer free transportation to the campus which is helpful. There's also two bus routes that travel within campus that can take you to different parts which is also free.

Parking is a nightmare at UCF. Only way to get a decent parking spot is to arrive on campus before 9:30 AM, after that, you better find another way to get on campus. They have tried to alleviate the parking problem, as it is a problem for both students and faculty by building new parking lots and parking garages.

Guys & Girls:
Mixture of Everyone – There's such a mixture of people at UCF that there's pretty much something for everyone, both guys and girls.

Advisors are very nice, accepting and helping when it comes to welcoming new students. They are very available and work quickly to solve problems and solve solutions.

the financial aid office has delayed granting me my money ever since I've been at UCF. They think I was in a summer program that I was never in so I've been told that has been a factor even though I've been telling them since orientation that I'm not apart of the program; it's almost been a year.
When sending forms after being accepted i had to resend forms THREE TIMES.

We are the lightning strike capital of the world! After noon thunderstorms are a regular. Chance of hurricanes during the right season, and not to far from the beach on a hot summer day.

Its Ok – For mindless immature students there are plenty of places, events, and excuses to get belligerently drunk and act like fools. For those not trying to prematurely progress their alcoholism there are a few options.

The Cafeteria – Is always a quick stop for a snack or a meal. The food is what you expect from a cafeteria. Vending machines provide good in between class snacks for relatively cheap.

There's never any parking unless you go early in the morning, if you have a class that starts after 10 am, don't bother trying to find a parking space. UCF has built some new parking garages and parking areas so the parking problem may be alleviated a bit; however, there are so many students and only so much parking.

The gym was recently remodeled so now it's bigger and was always in good shape before. The Student Union is great as well, filled with restaurants and even places to get scantrons, etc. Overall the campus is pretty well kept, lots of greenery and open spaces.

Health & Safety:
Lack of Security Presence – During the day, I never feel unsafe at UCF; however, it's normal to see little to no security or police around campus. The only time I feel unsafe to walk around campus is at night because there are less people and there have been petty thefts and muggings before.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
