Knights Service – Here at the UCF Nation, the cost for food is completely affordable. It is perfect for all of us that have that college budget in mind. Most places offer student discounts and the quality is just off the hook. Lazy moon is probably my favorite. They offer huge pizzas!! Just one slice fills you up like never before

If you like sunshine, you will like our weather here. We have sunshine 90% of the time and then the other 10% is crazy rain, wind, and cloudiness. But for the most part there is beautiful weather and lots of places on campus to enjoy it.

Orlando Is Full of Things to Do – Orlando has Disney, Universal, downtown, the UCF area, and all the surrounding areas of Central Florida. There is lots to do here and never a dull moment. Shopping areas and great restaurants are minutes from UCF's campus and if you are willing to travel further (which I do encourage you to) you can find even cooler spots and things to do.

Depending on the time of your classes, good luck finding parking! Permit costs per semester at a whopping 40-50$ charge is quite hefty.

Extremely diverse. I enjoy seeing people of different ethnic backgrounds.

Financial Aid is very good, people get what they expect when expected.

Buses are everywhere, even reach some off campus housing and locations like walmart and publix. Transportation to parties is provided or downtown. Parking is very good if you own a car sometimes limited but you can park very close to where you need to be.

Punishments are not seen very often. I have not heard any friends or anyone of getting drug abuse or alcohol underage drinking tickets.

Health & Safety:
Safety on Campus – The safety on campus is great. Just practice common sense with being responsible with your belongings.

Parking at UCF in years past was absolutely terrible. Waiting 15+ minutes for a spot was not unlikely. Now I can find a spot within 5 minutes in any garage. The availability of spots is due to the addition of new parking garages.

Greeks Can Be Good or Meh – I'm raiting Greek life a B because the people in Frats/Sororities seem to be happy. I was never in one, but I do see them outside of our student union from time to time. Honestly I don't pay much attention to them. I have chatted with some people involved in Greek campus life, and they seem like nice people.

There are a lot of off campus housing opportunities in East Orlando. I personally never lived on campus. I lived two years in apartments and two years in houses. Apartments can be found cheap and close to campus, or expensive and close to campus. It really depends on if you want a luxurious pad or anything will do. Housing can be even cheaper, however cost depends on proximity to campus.

Need Car – Shuttles are available but sometimes unreliable, same with public transportation buses. Having a car is the best way to get around Orlando.

I LOVE the financial aid office at UCF. They are very clear about the extent to which they are able to assist the students. Their scholarship listings are always updated on the website, they have an excellent program eligibility chart, they are very accessible via e-mail and/or walk-in appointments, and give solid financial advice. They also make it clear that it is the student's responsibility to maintain awards/scholarships/loans, etc. So remember that it is important to stay on top of that!

I love the cultural, socio-economic, racial, ethnic, sexual, age, and every other type of diversity that is found on this campus. I am constantly being exposed to new and different norms; my mind is opened up and challenged in the classroom, and I see students all over campus working hard to improve themselves. This campus really promotes a well-rounded, balanced lifestyle. My graduation will be a bittersweet experience.

Our athletics at UCF are a huge deal; we have an enormous amount of fan support at various sports events. Our athletes often win awards. We have an excellent group of personal trainers as well as a tutoring center set aside just for athletes. I love the athletics at UCF!

Most of the time the weather is pretty nice, but there are some days when it rains without warning in and out all day (gotta love Florida) and other days where the sun beats you down.

Pretty Good for Students, Awful for Visitors – If you are parking for class and want a good spot, definitely get to campus a god 10 or 15 minutes early. and you'll have no problem. If you are parking for housing you'll always have a spot but you have a 50/50 chance of it being great or not. Permit costs are a bit on the expensive side but the day passes are a bit ridiculous. Good luck with people visiting because if they are staying more than one day you have to change their ticket at midnight and you can't pay for the new one until midnight but Parking Services is extremely strict so there's no way around waiting by the meter for midnight for a visitor.

Many Sports to Choose from! UCF has plenty of sports to choose from, you could get involved in anything from baseball to paper football. The varsity sports also do fairly well against other teams.

UCF has it all. If you want greek life to just a club they have one club for everyone. The Union is HUGE and it is worth visiting. The REC center has everything you need 4 basketball courts, racquetball, and more. Outside fields lap pools.

UCF has created more parking but it is still hard to find parking. Be early to all nights or days with concerts and etc.

Off Campus – I live in a Managed apartment complex off campus not owned by UCF or college housing

If you're trying to get from your off campus apartment to campus, most of them offer a free bus that runs every 15 minutes to and from the school. If you're trying to go downtown to unwind on the weekends from the busy school week, there is a bus that's just 10 dollars that goes from campus to downtown and back.

Health & Safety:
Campus Safety – I always feel safe on the UCF campus. There are multiple emergency phone towers scattered throughout campus, as well as officers that walk the campus to ensure that everyone on campus is safe. I've never had any run ins with trouble or felt fearful on my walk home from classes.

Theme Park City! Orlando is such a great city. About thirty minutes from campus we have Disney and both Universal and Universal Islands of Adventure theme parks. If you enjoy going out on the weekends, just 15 minutes away from campus is downtown Orlando. It has options for those who like to dance their stress away and those who just like to sit and talk about their week. There's always something to do in Orlando and all of it can be easily reached from the UCF campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
