Finaincial Aid – The first experience i encountered here was really frustrating, they had to keep verifying my documents which was stressful and took a long time. but once all that was straightened out it ran pretty smoothly. Finding scholarships opportunities was very easy, there is a user friendly website and sometimes they will email you ones to apply for.

The computers here work great, they are fast and reliable. However, there are not very many in comparison to the number of students attending. The library always seems to be jam packed.

Atmosphere in Orlando – UCF is located in Orlando Florida. Orlando is full of attractions. It is a vacation destination. Its also great to attend the Orland Magic Basketball games. Orlando loves UCF students...we bring alot of $$ to the area.

I love the closeness of everything. Both on campus and off campus. UCF's campus is very central, everything is close to everything, which is a hard task for the 2nd biggest university in the nation. Being in Orlando, lots of stuff is close by: Disney World, Universal Studios, and an hour from the beach.

I loved living on campus my first year. I thought the dorms were very nice and close to all my classes. Off campus would be cheaper.

financial aid is pretty easy it tells you on your ucf student page everything that you need to show them and your application status. dont bother calling the fin aid office, you have to go physically to the office because they never answer phones. but the fin aid process is really easy and fast i always receive some financial aid.

We have buses that go around campus and even off campus to pick up students and we have zip cars that students can rent for a day and use the car for whatever. alot of students ride their bikes and skateboards around campus and nobody minds.

Check Out Kyoto – UCF has a lot of off-campus dining options, but I would say most of them are large chains. El Cerro is a popular happy hour hangout---It's across from campus and has the Monster Margarita. Kyoto is an inexpensive & fast hibachi restaurant that's one of my favorites.

Pre-Clinical-Choose Early – If you want to major in Pre-Clinical Health Studies make sure you know this early on is your college days! This major can take may years to complete if you don't have a plan. I transferred to UCF into this program so it was difficult for me to keep on target.

Transportation is great! UCF has unlimited buses and taxi cabs for students, some of which don't cost you a penny. I've always found it really easy to get where I want to be for a low cost!

UCF has top of the line facilities. The athletic center is amazing with many gyms to play pick-up in and a workout room that can fit hundreds. There is always construction of one type or another so UCF has the best facilities. The library as five floors with many research rooms where you can quietly study by yourself or with friends.

Greeks: Sororities and Fraternities – There are always Greek students talking about Greek life on campus. Housing is offered on and off campus. There is also a rush day where students can find out all there is to know about Greek life and whether they could/should join one or not.

Sports are always being advertised on and off campus. Free items are usually given away at games or during "Market Day" on Wednesdays in front of the Student Union when game day is near. For football, the stadium is nearly always overflowing with fans. Tailgating is a major event here at UCF. Parents, students and even faculty/staff support the school teams at their games. School spirit is always buzzing throughout campus and teams always receive the best support from their fans. The athletic facilities, such as the gym, are amazing. It honestly has to be the largest gym I have ever seen, offering free classes such as spinning and pilates. It has an indoor tracks and top of the line exercise machines.

Health & Safety:
Campus Crime (Or Lack Thereof) – At The University of Central Florida, we have an on campus precinct where police are constantly patrolling the area and preventing any trouble from taking place. They are available to students and faculty. There is also a service provided to students that offers a security patrol that will drive a student to their car or dorm after dusk as opposed to walking alone. Their services make a student feel safe. Especially when they notify you of suspicious packages in certain garages and announce the appearances, as well as the names, of sexual offenders. Their safety and security programs are immensely convenient.

The student union is known for its food. At first it seems like a sea of choices, but after visiting frequently I get tired of the same food. The food places are : subway, burger king, sabarro's pizza, and asian chao.

Health & Safety:
Safety Questionable? When I first arrived at UCF, I thought I was attending a safe school, but as I lived there for a period of time, I realized that there is no such thing as a completely safe school. There have been attempted abductions near the campus, a murder at the mcdonalds across from campus, and a series of acid bombs being made around campus.

The University of Central Florida is conveniately located in the best part of town. It's enrollment numbers are increasing due to its emphasis on education and involvement. Among of hundreds of clubs to participate on campus, there are attractions as close as directly across the street of the main campus. In this plaza there are three bars that are solely dedicated to college students. These clubs are Decko, Knight Library, and FUBAR. These clubs continously offer specials just for students. This makes it easy and close for students to access at their finger tips. Also at these clubs they offer party buses. THese party buses function to ensure the safety and fun of its students. It helps eliminate drunk driving. UCF is also in the center of a very basketball oriented town. Since UCF is located in Orlando, students gain access to the Orlando Magic games. Orlando Magic's star player Dwight Howard, has done numerous basketball and fundraisers at our campus. Also recently, UCF has gained major recognition for their newest additions to the basketball team. Michael Jordan's sons Marcus and Jeff are star players for the UCF basketball team. They have made major TV networks and increased audience attendance. The games are live and exciting. Also in sports, UCF's football team is now part of a major conference, enabling them to play top rated schools. In sum, UCF should be the number one choice among many students. It is definately a college town. It offers safe fun, endless activities, and students have a positive and proud attitude about their school. GO KNIGHTS!

Ucf has a huge student population and around peak class hours (12-4) parking is nearly impossible. you have to drive around in the garage and wait for someone to come up the stair and stalk them for their spot.

Guys & Girls:
Very Whatever – There are a lot of pretty girls and pretty hot guys at UCF, the school is huge though so there are a lot of very mediocre looking people too.
College Senior 2012-01-29T21:06:45Z
Pretty Diverse I Would Say. I am an engineering student and I suppose because of that there are a lot of Asian and Indian students in my classes. There might be a majority of Hispanics at the school in general because this is Florida.

Speech-Language Pathology – it's a very great place to study this field. the instructors are great. But as a grad student it becomes very expensive and not many scholarships are available to us, even with such shortage of SLPs in the country.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
