Love the Gym – The Rec and Wellness Center is great and constantly improving. There are up-to-date cardio machines and a great weight-lifting floor in addition to the lap pool and incredible rock wall. Also the gym offers a wide variety of work out classes for students and fun intramural.

So Many Choices to Choose from – There are a lot of different options. Within 5 miles you pretty much have your pick of anything. There are at least 10-20 places to eat on campus from cheap fast food such as Burger King, Subway, Jimmy Johns, and Qdoba to restaurant style food like Kyoto, Brooklyn Pizza, Wackadoos, and Tailgators. They aren't that expensive and there are meal plans on campus if you are interested. I believe that work at most food locations on campus.

Beautiful in Florida – The weather gets hot in the Summer, but you can't beat going outside in the middle of January when the rest of the country is freezing!

There are a good number of computers and computer labs. The only complaint would be that it is difficult to find a computer in the library because of all the traffic in there. Generally, the internet connection and systems seem to be working well.

At UCF the off campus dining is plentiful but I don't see much variety. We tend to have moderately good student discounts but the prices really aren't all that cheap.
College Junior 2011-12-16T19:21:48Z
Many Computer Opportunities – There are computer labs and printing stations set up all over UCF. And when we are near finals or midterms the campus will keep all the labs and printing stations open for 24 hours. So while having a personal computer is very nice, it's definitely not a need.

UCF is the second largest University in the US and we are comprised of many different races. Overall I believe that it heavily influences are ways of being a very liberal and accepting school. We allow everyone to have their own beliefs and respect that.

Education Major – I thorougly enjoy the education program at UCF. I get to do what is called service learning and work hands on in the classroom with students and teachers. This gives me insight into my future profession and gives me helpful information I will need. Most classes are interesting, but the workload is hard. There is a lot of time consuming papers and projects due, but in the end they help. The education classes are also only once a week for a 3 hr period.

A great part about UCF is the shuttle service. The shuttle goes to numerous neighborhoods around UCF and around campus to drop you off at different locations. It is convenient and easy to use. The school also works with a few bus systems like Lynx to provide other public transportation. I personally drive to school it doesn't take me long but sometimes parking or traffic is a hassle.

Strictness on Campus – If you are caught drinking or doing drugs on campus there are many consequences. You will get kicked out of your dorm and out of UCF for that semester. Your financial aid may be taken away from you and if you were involved in any activities you may not be allowed to anymore.

Ucf has events during the Christmas season, such as ice skating that you can invite your family and friends to, even if they don't attend the school.

University of Central Florida is located 30minutes from Cocoa Beach and offers beautiful sunny days to enjoy on and off campus. It makes the college experience that much brighter.

University of Central Florida's transportation offered is excellent. There are shuttles to and from campus to off campus residences that are available free for students. There are shuttles available all around campus for commute to classes on campus. There is a late-night shuttle that transports from off-campus and on campus residences to local bars and restaurants at night. There is also a safety number to call for local transportation around campus at night.

Health & Safety:
University of Central Florida is right outside the bustling city of Downtown Orlando. There is always something to do or something going on. Street smarts are necessary in the surrounding restaurants and attractions, but on campus everything stays relatively quiet. The transportation services offered as well as the on campus police force always provides for safe commute to and from campus as well as within the campus lines. No one ever worries or questions traveling on campus at any time, day or night.

I LOVE IT – UCF wasn't my first choice by any means, but I absolutely love it. And it's helping prepare me for law school.

UCF is the second largest school in the US, so of course it isn't going to be easy to find a parking spot. The garages are almost impossible to find a parking space between the times of 1pm and 4pm; and it is VERY frustrating. However, having a car in Orlando is definitely something I'd recommend. There is ALWAYS something to do, and having your own means of transportation is very helpful.

Lake Claire – I lived in Lake Claire which is apartment style for freshmen only. I loved it because I had my own room and a kitchen to cook in. Guys, typically don't socialize as much as girls do, so I didn't really become best friends with my roommates.
Nevertheless, living on campus is definitely convenient. Everything is within walking distance; you just have to overcome the laziness.
