State of the Art – All the facilities at UCF are state of the art. The latest technology is utilized in all the classrooms. Our housing is the best of any university I've seen, friends from other universities visit and think I go to a college at a resort.

Guys & Girls:
The thing is that are campus is so open and diverse that you can find at least one person that matches your interests. There are so many different people you could get to know and it is awesome meeting new people. Everyone is very relaxed and is ready to socialize so you have to be ready too

Time-Consuming, but Worth It – In a university with about 60,000 students, it is difficult to ensure your financial needs are met especially regarding deadlines and qualifications. If you need to talk with someone about financial aid, the waiting room can get pretty hectic and stressful. But in the end, going through all the trouble is absolutely worth it.

Really Good – I love the off campus dining because there are so many to choose from I don't think you could ever get bored. The reason this is because I live in Orlando so not only is it a college town but also a tourist town. Which is great because the food is diverse and not very expensive.

Not So Bad – On the campus the meal choices are not very diverse. They are either really fattening or really healthy which does not appeal to me very much. Also if you want to eat in the cafeteria prepare yourself for food that is very bland. It is awful and I have no idea why I have to pay for it. These are one of the major reasons I am living off campus next year.

Guys & Girls:
Students Pretty Diverse – The students at UCF- guys and girls alike- are pretty diverse for the most part. There are people from many different backgrounds which is expressed most noticeably through the clothing they wear.

Not Very Strict – I haven't had any issues, I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing.

Multiple Labs to Use – There are two labs in the Student Union with free printing, and if you're a member of the Honors College, there's another lab. Wireless is effective too if you bring your own laptop

I would rate the financial aid process at our school as okay. I had turned some forms in and they got lost, and it made it hard to find out where it went cause the office was just so busy.

Dining Options – There are two main dining halls on campus, each on one side of campus. This makes it easy for students to choose which is nearest to them to make it more convenient. There is also a food court in the middle of campus located in the union. You have a variety of food to choose from here like pizza, salads and sandwiches.

Get All of the Facts Ahead of Time – For me, knowing upperclassmen really helped me maneuver throughout my time at UCF. They have been there and they have done that. So they know all of the processes that you would need o go through.

What About the Middle Class!!! It has to be the worst process in life!! My parents to do not help me with one cent of school related anything. But I still have to include them on my FAFSA. So it looks like they are contributing to my livelihood, but in reality they are not. I am 20 years old, and I will be spending my winter vacation working 2 jobs to save up for the spring semester tuition, housing, and car payments. Not to mention that I will have to work around 30 hours during the semester to make ends meet. That just does not seem fair to me.

When you think of Orlando, you do not think of it being a college town. You think of Disney, the Orlando Magic, night life, and fun and culture everywhere you look. For me, that is something I really like about going to UCF, but for the student who needs to only focus on school, that might present a problem. Majoring in the pre-health, Orlando has such a large health community, which makes it easier for students to find interning opportunities. This is not restricted to the health field, but to practically every industry there is to work in.

UCF has grocery stores and malls that are not that far from campus. There are buses that can take you to get where you need to go. If you stay in an off campus UCF affiliated apartment, UCF provides a bus from your complex to campus for free.

Greeks are a big part of campus life. Their events are some of the most attended on campus. You don't have to be a Greek to attend many of these event.

Legal Studies – The professors are all lawyers and really know the material. They are also available for Law School advising. Your success depends on how much work you are willing to put in.

The weather is usually very nice at UCF, especially being placed in Central Florida. I never worry about the weather because the buildings are in a close proximity of the parking garages, so I can make it to the building I need to be in with ease.

I love the computers at UCF! Their is a large amount of computer labs available to students through out campus! Also, the network reliability and speed are excellent! I also like that students are allowed to print pages a day for free in the student union! I have never had a problem with the wireless connection.

There is mostly a lot of alcohol consumption during football games but this is like any campus. There is a lot of underage drinking.

Social Atmosphere – I think the atmosphere of the college is very gloomy. There is not much school spirit so you do not feel like you are in college.
College Junior 2011-12-12T22:33:48Z
Severe Punishments – First offenders caught drinking or smoking lose their housing immediately, and don't get a refund. Academic integrity is also taken very seriously.
College Junior 2011-12-12T22:32:30Z
Minimal on Campus – Drug and alcohol use is minimal on the campus, but plenty of options and seeing it in affiliated housing.

Health & Safety:
You Feel Safe. There have been items stolen on campus, but campus police helpful in recovering, if possible. I have never felt threatened walking around campus, but if for some reason you dod there is a free security escort service that will shuttle you across campus.

Central Florida weather is as diverse as the people who go to school there. One day it can be sunny, and the next day dark and rainy. Whoever said Florida was the sunshine state was obviously here on a good day. Apart from the occasional storm, however, the weather is pretty nice. It never gets too cold, even if you may need to pull out that long forgotten sweater every once in a while. During the beginning of the semester in August and September, the heat can be a bit much, so invest in some good shades and summer clothes.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
