Health & Safety:
The crime rate in Orlando, Florida has thankfully not made national news, but being the daughter of a Orange County Police officer, it doesn't have to. I hear about it all the time. Like a scroll on the bottom of those news shows that you don't wanna watch while waiting for your car to finish being worked on. According to her, Orlando is getting worse, but as a person who is just now getting around to start her life, going to college, working near the college, etc., I can honestly say that UCF does an excellent job at making me feel safer. Campus security at our school isn't just your run of mill rent-a-cops. They are actual Orlando Police officers, same training, same gear, similar uniforms. They respond quickly and appropriately to whatever situation they are called out on, and are understanding of the students that they are, essentially, serving. I like UCF. Keep up the good work, boys.

Hidden Quality – UCF has great graduate programs and undergrad programs. If you can get past the annoying amounts of people who probably shouldn't be in college, or the time spent looking for the parking space that just isn't there, it's a really good school for academics.

Bad Rap – Despite the fact that we recently fired football and basketball coaches for NCAA violations, the athletics are pretty cool around the campus. Not that we ever win anything, but a lot of people seem to turn out for games.

Guys & Girls:
Why Do They Go Here? They all look the same. Bottle blonds with huge sunglasses fiddling around on their phone while using "like" after every other word. Muscly meat-heads or stringy skateboarders who really wish they were born in the 80's and think being loud is rebellious. They can have each other.

There are approximately 300 computers available for use in the UCF Library. They are extremely convenient and allow for USB use for saving documents. The UCF Library makes it easy to do research for projects and write your paper all in one place.

Drug safety is great, I never see any drug usage there. Smoking is also banned on campus to keep the air and environment clean

I LOVE the dining at Rosen. They have delicious options for a good price.

There are no free printing options. Even if you just need to print one page. At a small college like the Rosen College of UCF students should have some kind of free printing option. We are already paying for a technology fee in our tuition, what is that fee for if not printing?

I dont believe there is enough places on camous to park. and it costs $100 for two terms you think it would be better.

Shopping District – there's a shopping mall a block away from the campus where there are alot of clubs and bars. there are even transportation to downtown Orlando where there are even more clubs and bars

Things to Do in Orlando – Orlando, Fl has the second largest university in the country. With over 50,000 students there are many activities in and around campus that students can get involved in. There's a shopping mall and outlet just a few miles off campus. We have bars, clubs, restaurants all within a close proximity! Disney World, Universal and other attractions are not too far as well. Soo much to do and you'll never have to ask yourself what you'll be doing another day.

Long Distance – The shuttle services provided by UCf is great. There is always transportation to anywhere such as the dorms, campus, shopping centers, and the stadium. It makes those students that do not have a car to not feel left out.

I feel that since we are paying to come here than attendance should be optional and we should not have to attend every class if we choose not to. If we do miss a class than it is our responsibility to make up the information.

Drinking Is More Common Than Smoking – In Central FLorida, drinking is more common than smoking. People tend to drink more in their apartments then smoking.

I lived on campus for my first two years of school, so transportation was never something that I was concerned about. However, since I've moved off campus, I've had personal experience with the transportation options that UCF has to offer.
UCF works with Lynx Bus Transit to help get their student's to and from school. This transportation is at no cost to the students, and is actually very convenient. Buses run about every ten minutes, so waiting is never really an issue.
As far as on campus transportation, UCF offers Safety Escort Patrol Services (S.E.P.S.), which you can call at any hour and someone will pick you up in a golf cart and take you wherever you need to be, quickly and safely.
UCF is only located 20 minutes away from MCO Orlando International Airport. I travel frequently, and have looked into shuttles from UCF to the airport, and found that it costed a whopping $95 round trip! I wish they offered something a little more affordable.

Guys & Girls:
Good Mix – Being in my third year of school here at UCF I have been able to see quite a bit of our student body, and with great confidence I can say that we have a good mix of people here at UCF. As a student body, we are a very diverse group, seeing as we are the second largest school in the nation. I come from a very small town, and was used to seeing the same faces every day.
Attending to the University of Central has cultured me. We have all kinds of boys, and girls that go here. People from all over the United states, and even the world. I have become friends with people from Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, England, Korea, and even Australia.
Because of our diversity, people look, dress, and act differently. There are so many different interests, and UCF does a great job of creating a Community where everyone can be satisfied. After all, Community is part of our UCF creed.

I have recently moved off campus to a non-affiliated housing place. However, I do find that if I am hungry while on campus, it is very easy to find something to eat. We have a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. We have Sbarro's, Burger King, Asian Chow, Domino's, and even a Qdoba. I can't forget to mention my absolute favorite, Jimmy John's. When I used to live on campus, I would have Jimmy John's at least once a week!
I have also had the pleasure of eating at UCF's dining halls, Knightro's and Marketplace. The food there is EXCEPTIONAL. When I was a freshman, it was as close to a home cooked meal as I could get. Both are very clean, and the people who work there are extremely friendly.

Well I do not live on campus and I have not engaged into night activities but I hear a lot about it. It seems that there is somewhere to go almost every night. People have fun, get drunk and leave their assisgnments for last minute.

They are awesome. It unfortunately when none are available. I love the printing lab. I believe that it is well organized and structured. Internet speed is good enough for me.

Health & Safety:
Campus Security – I feel that students pn campus know how they are expected to conduct, that could be a reason why I do not see much of security action on campus. However, I believe that it is just fine.

UCF has an amazing hospitality program that is in the center of bustling Orlando. With major theme parks and thousands of hotels and restaurants near-by there are so many wonderful internship and job opportunities available to students.

Go Knights! Although UCF is just beginning to get noticed in the athletic realm it is still a big part of student life here at UCF. Tailgating is great and thousands of students attend every game. With out new stadium the games are a blast! I also really enjoy the basketball games. WIth our famous Jordan brothers on the court the games are always interesting. I love how no matter what store you go to around UCF you will always see sports memorabilia and fans sporting UCF gear! WIth such a large student body it's hard not to have such a large fan base!

The dining around UCF is AWESOME! Besides having all of the basic chain restaurants there are so many little mom & pop dining places that are delicious! I would defiantly recommend Salsa to Go! to everyone, it is right on campus and the prices are relatively low. This is my favorite restaurant by far! I would also suggest TownHouse for breakfast, Lazy Moon for some really yummy late-night pizza, and Jeremiah's for an icy treat. If you are on a budget I suggest checking out Froggers which has dollar burgers on tuesday & Pretzels which has delicious .25$ wings on tuesday.

Trying to find a parking spot by your building is hard. Sometimes you have to park in the garages which are kind of far from housing. Tickets are 20 dollars usually which is reasonable but getting two of them in one month would be hard to pay because many students dont have money to spend on that.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
