I Liked It – It was clean and convenient. I payed dearly for the cleanliness and convenience though. I like living off campus.

Health & Safety:
I Feel Relatively Safe – considering we no longer live in a world where you can leave your door unlocked at night, I feel safe on campus. as safe as i feel can be expected for such a large university unless they want to enclose us in an electric fence with key card guarded entries and officers every ten feet. I like that they email alerts when there has been a series of crime.

Florida, the Sunshine State – It's the Sunshine State, folks. The worst thing about the UCF weather is during the summer when the temperature can feel like 110 with the heavy humidity. It's like walking through a light sauna. But the rest of the year, it's nice and warm. It gets a little chilly in December and January, but mostly heat during the year. Rain lasts a total of 5 minutes, max.

Health & Safety:
UCF is surely a safe place to be, overall. On campus housing is your best bet to be completely safe, because it's patrolled and very well lit. The campus is large, but it has a very safe feel. Off campus housing is a bit more dodgy: not as well-lit, not often patrolled, and prone to break-ins. However, do your research about which places to live and which to stay away from and you'll be fine. Science Drive and Riverwind are highly recommended. Stay AWAY from Pegasus Landing, Campus Crossings, and Pegasus Point.

The Elementary Education Major Details – I really enjoy my major at my school, in the College of Education, because I feel like I'm part of a community that is working its way to excellence. It's amazing to meet all the other education majors and share tips and experience. The professors are amazing (most of them) and knowledgeable. They are approachable and will help you with most anything. The workload keeps you busy, but it's very manageable. You learn so much, and that is worth it. Mostly papers, not a lot of tests. Many projects, and I love that aspect. The curriculum is great; the classes are all very helpful. The facilities are beautiful, organized, and we even have our own small library. Talk about cool, huh? I go there all the time to rent children's books for projects, meet with groups, study, and do online work. The college is very helpful with internship; they help us and are there for us when we need something. I love UCF's College of Education program.

Guys & Girls:
Express Yourself – Everyone has their own fashion here whether it is retro or disco. Clothes are a way of expression and most people at my school do exactly this.

Ucf is a very diverse and accepting school of anyone. Everyone here is very open about what they feel is right and what they believe in. UCF is still a very young school and I feel here you can make a name for yourself and leave here being anything you want to be because, the students and professors here are not just students and professors we are like family and all everyone wants to do is help you become a better and more educated person.

I am consumed by studying so don't have time to do the business major lifestyle

The professors are very knowledgeable but they don't know how to teach that well.

Guys & Girls:
So Different – There are so many different styles the students acquire. There are the typical jocks and preps, and there is the punks. The guys and girls both have a very wide spectrum of interests and its guaranteed that everyone will find a group to fit in with.

UCF has many diverse students and backgrounds. However, many of the students are white.

Health & Safety:
Completely Safe on Campus – I feel safe when I am on campus because there are alert systems everywhere and I know the campus is constantly patrolled.

Lots of Opportunities. UCF is great. I love it. There are so many opportunities to help further your career. If you take the time to get to know your professors and talk to them they will help you in any way they can. Everyone there is nice if you don't bother them they won't bother you. :)

Get There Early – Parking is not as many people say it is at UCF. If you just get to school 10 minutes early you will find a spot. You just need to be patient and try not to run late. Not to mention they just built a new garage.

Drinking Is All Anyone Cares About – At UCF students love drinking. UCF is a wet campus so you can expect to find people drinking on campus. From what I can tell a lot of people that go there are okay with smoking weed but whether they do or don't I am not sure. Pretty much weekends are all about getting your drink on at UCF.

My Unique University – UCF is very equipped with job opportunities for staff and students alike. Everyone is very joined together with little discrimination in any sense. Greek life is very opening, despite the sterotypical cliche. We have a "reflection pond" which is a magnificent fountain that students gather around to study, socialize, or "reflect." The set up of the campus is mostly walkways with the "student union" being strategically placed in the center acting as the school's heart.

Homecoming week and during any home game, UCF goes well. Not only do people who attend the university attend the games and support the team, but neighboring fans in Orlando as well. The whole stadium is filled with black and gold. The stadium was set up a few years ago and sits as a shrine for our fantastic players. Also, basketball and volleyball are highly regarded.

Health & Safety:
Coated in Safety With a Nice Crime-Free Center – UCF is constantly under surveillance to ensure safety within the Knight community. Members of the police force always make sure that no one speeds on the roads, helps direct traffic during major events, prevents and warns against underage drinking on campus. On top of that, there are frequent safety phones and emergency buttons for any situation.
College Junior 2011-11-18T15:26:55Z
We Don't Have Enough Space – For UCF being the second largest campus in the nation. We require SPACE! Something we don't always get. When you require half of the math taking students to get in 3 hours in math lab, you should at least provide computers for students who are trying to get in instead of being short changed and waiting for hours to get a computer!

Health & Safety:
Pretty Safe but I Hear Stories Sometimes – I have never had a problem with security or felt unsafe but, I have seen two cases of theft on campus in a 3 month time frame. But, I guess that isn't super bad considering how many more happen elsewhere.
College Junior 2011-11-18T15:24:03Z
Everything is super convenient and fast when your going to the second largest campus in the nation with over 59,000 students. What we don't have in parking we make up for with food. There are miles of food places in every direction of UCF. As well as lots of grocery stores for cookers and its all well priced.
College Junior 2011-11-18T05:14:47Z
Academic Integrity Is All They Care About – There is a very lenient punishment for drinking, unless you are in Healthy Lifestyle type dormitories. Academic Integrity though is seen as a serious offense and can end you in serious trouble. Parking is very strict in their citations.
College Junior 2011-11-18T05:10:49Z
Housing Is a Flop – The dorms at Towers are the best living wise for both underclassmen and upperclassmen, but are over the top in cost wise. The dorms at Towers are well equipped, newer and have the largest rooms and security, giving more of a hotel atmosphere rather than a dorm feeling. Hercules and Nike also are good options for the aesthetics of things. I currently live in a Healthy Lifestyle dorm, and reside in Lake Claire, which is pretty on the outside, but on the inside has half cinder block walls and half smooth walls, which looks very tacky. There is no dishwasher or garbage disposal like in Towers. The social atmosphere is nice, and it is close to campus and the arena. The drawback is the cost you pay versus what you get, most students tend to live off of campus after the first year.
College Junior 2011-11-18T04:58:26Z
Campus Activities Are Well Established – The facilities on campus are well offered and provided, campus activities are abundant and the gym and fitness is well laid out. The general campus is high in aesthetics appeal and holds a well laid out campus with a good system in adapting a circular lay out for all of the different academics and common areas. Campus activities populate much of University of Central Florida and are used in a good way to bring the large mass of students together into one social setting.

Many Dining Options – UCF has many dining options, but they can be quite costly.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
