Health & Safety:
I Feel Safe – I have never felt unsafe on UCF's campus. I always see a police presence and have no fear walking about campus even at night.

Hard Work – It is hard sometimes when your parents make over most of the limits for financial aid but people do not realize that most students support themselves and I know from trying it is hard sometimes to get financial aid thats needed

School Experience – This was my first time moving out this year being that it is my Junior year and so far so good. UCF maybe a school in the making but it has a lovely campus and off-campus and nightlife is not that bad. I have really enjoyed going to school here and bettering myself for my future

Alcohol Awareness – The campus is strict on alcohol use. Before you begin your semester as a freshmen you are required to take a short online course on the use of alcohol. Inspections are done periodically in the dorms and your residence assistant will cover the topic.

Apartment Dorms – Apartment dorms are the only type open for the Rosen Hospitality campus. They are really great with nice features including, a kitchen with a bar, living area space, and your own room. However the cost to live on campus is rather high, but it is worth the college experience.

Things to Do – Around the Central Florida there is a lot of things to do from shopping, theme parks near by, and downtown orlando which is only 30 min away. I love being a student at UCF. We might not have too much within the a ten min radius but living in the middle of Florida we have access to so many things

Internships and Small College Atmosphere – At the Rosen Hospitality Management campus, it really serves its purpose. The atmosphere is perfect for hospitality majors to get a feel for the industry. Internships are required to graduate and this is a great opportunity to get involved in your major and get real experience. The small college atmosphere helps one to feel welcome within the community and more involved.

My experience at UCF has not been pleasant. Every single faculty member I spoke with was rude and very inconsiderate. They have a lot of students running the front desks and they have no idea what the answers are to even some of the most simple questions. I would not choose UCF again and I regret ever going there in the first place.

Sunny Florida – Florida always has beautiful weather. Orlando is right in the center of the state so there's not as much rain as the east and west coasts, but it's still occasional.

Health & Safety:
I attended UCF for 2 years and there has not been a single week where I haven't gotten some sort of email saying that someone had their dorm broken into or there was another murder on campus. It wasn't always students but just the fact that people were killed and then taken to the UCF campus is pretty horrendous. I also had my car broken into on campus and had my iPod and camera stolen. The police force is nice enough but they need cameras or something to help protect their students. This is one of the reasons I'm leaving UCF.

HUMID :( FLORIDA – It's humid, a lot. And then it can be super hot and sunny when you go to a class and by the time you get out its pouring down rain.
College Junior 2011-11-29T16:59:44Z
Buses Everywhere – Pretty good, there are buses from one side of campus to the other if you are too lazy to walk. Off campus transportation is good too, you can get buses to off campus housing or to some of the clubs.

Lots of Different Races and Religions – UCF has a great variety of students because we are the second largest school in the nation.

Communication Sciences and Disorders Program – I am in the Health and Public Affairs College and I love it so far. I am a Communication Sciences and Disorders major. If you love working with children and are passionate about helping people you will love this major. The only negative thing that I have to say about this program is the guidance counselors. If you are not on top of what classes you have to take for the following semester you could possibly graduate a semester later. The guidance counselors could misguide you so it is important to know what you are doing. Other than that the teachers are wonderful and you will learn a lot.

Although Florida is the sunshine state the weather varies. Sometimes it will rain for days and other times it will be beautiful and sunny. Winter's are a joke because in the morning and night the temperature will normally be in the 30s and 40s. During the day the temperature will be in the high 60s to low 70s.

Nightlife at UCF is for students who are 18 and up. The school has plenty of house parties and tailgating at football games is always a good way to party and let loose. UCF provides a free bus service for students to travel from downtown back to campus so students have the opportunity to go to local bars and clubs. Most clubs in Orlando are 18 and up except for a few bars which are 21 and up. Every month UCF has an event called Late Knights which usually consists of concerts, games, and fun activities to do in a safe environment. Overall nightlife at this school is great and I guarantee that you will have a great time!!!

I love being outdoors because the sky is always so beautiful. It is especially joyful to sit by the Reflection Pond and relax while studying for an exam.

Way Too Crowded! Students complain about not finding a parking space and missing the beginning of class. People need to arrive very far in advance just to find a spot. I suggest that the school promotes more public transportation to help reduce our carbon footprint rather than creating more parking garages.

Safe & Affordable – The off-campus housing feels like an extension of the university. I feel completely safe and I am close to everything. I don't even need a car to get around!

Good Variety but Not a Lot of Open Classes – Can't find enough open classes to have a full schedule.

Sunny Skys and Bright Sunshine! The bright central Florida weather is fantastic at UCF. Though some days are hot during the summer, it is not nearly as humid as at the coast.

Beware the Traffic Ninjas! I received a 40 dollar ticket for an expired license plate that I tried to fight (being my first ticket.) If I even showed up to an actual court, the fees would have been less than ten dollars. Through UCF, I paid the same price... c'mon!

There are three general labs known to most students; the Student Government lab, the express Student Government lab, and the Library labs. Each one is a struggle to get access to, though there is 20 pages of free printing a day in the Student Government sponsored labs. The only computers I can find that are available in the library are in the basement, and even then there is usually only one or two open. Internet access slows during busy times, like around lunch. Overall, I give them a "B."

I have had the most difficult time trying to get financial aid. Most of the people there do not care at all about your financial hardship. They do not answer questions very well. In addition, I received a grant of $1200 in April---after I had already taken out a loan and put myself into unnecessary debt! What is the purpose getting a grant 3 months after the start of the semester?! They're ridiculous.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
