Really Convenient – There are shuttles going to and from campus and within the campus and all are free to students.

There are students from all backgrounds and cultures. UCF is very diverse and welcoming to all cultures.

Great Variety – There are plenty of options for off-campus dining in the area.

About Average – I haven't really had any run-ins myself so it's hard to rate this. I know that in the dorms they are EXTREMELY strict about pot but not so much about drinking under-age. Other than that I don't know.

Dorm Life Is the Good Life- If You Have a Car – Now that I live off campus, I really miss my dorm! It was great to roll out of bed and into class and to live so close to friends! However, being trapped there wasn't great. So many of the restaurants close on the weekends and it can be like a ghost town. I'd recommend it if you have a car for sure.

Pretty Good – There are a lot of pretty good dining options around campus, both healthy and not so healthy. I would give it an A if it weren't for the meal plans- they are definitely over-priced, and a lot of the food in the two areas that mostly work for the meal plan use tons of butter in their food. Since I haven't been on a meal plan I have saved a lot of money and lost weight- even though I actually go out to eat more than I did previously.

Drug Scene – The drug scene at UCF doesn't seem to be too big. It seems like everyone parties.
College Junior 2011-11-23T19:47:18Z
There are a wide variety of fraternitys and sororities on campus ranging from regular ones to christian ones to health professionals to co-ed ones.

Hercules Dorms – I stayed there for my first summer B semester at UCF. The rooms were pretty small. It got pretty loud at night on the floors. There were sometimes bugs. The location is good for the dining facility though.

You mostly only see drinking activity, drug is rare.

It's Reasonable. I think most of the campus rules (no alcohol in dorms, general responsible behavior, etc) are reasonable. A couple things I don't agree with however are the prohibiting of wifi (and the amount of trouble you can get in for having it)and the early closing times of absolutely everything on campus. I think it's ridiculous to not be allowed to bring your own wifi when the dorm doesn't supply it, especially with all the devices that lack a port for an Ethernet cable. Also, I believe things should be open later on campus. Everything is closed by 6pm. If not the food places, I believe the recreational places should remain open later, especially on weekends. I think it's not unreasonable to want to hang out by the pool on a Saturday night.

I Know Some – I haven't really explored the off-campus housing, though I know there's quite a few campus affiliated complexes to choose from. Because of my lack of knowledge on their conditions, I give it a B. Personally, I love living on campus. It's easier to be spontaneous with friends or academics when everything is relatively close by. Plus, I don't need to spend money on a permit to park a car. You don't need a car when everything is in walking distance (granted it's a lot of walking because the campus is huge).

It's Usable – The computer labs and printing on campus is fine, usually very convenient and quick as well as very cheap. However it's the network that annoys me. It works in buildings with classrooms, but there is absolutely no internet in the dorms! It renders convenient technology requiring wireless connection (ex- printers, Ipads, etc) completely useless. It's impossible to do group projects in the dorm when internet is required and there's only one port for an Ethernet cable. Not to mention the fact it renders you pretty much immobile.

Decent but Fun Atomosphere – The places to eat around campus are fairly decent. There are a few options that are quick and simple. The thing students enjoy most is the atmosphere. It is a fun place to come hang out and relax from all the stress with your friends.

Bring Your Own Computer – The computer labs at the University of Central Florida Ocala Regional campus are locked unless a class is meeting in those rooms. As there is free WiFi, I highly recommend bringing a personal computer. Students can do things such as homework, research, and entertainment. If a student do not own a personal computer, it could be a severe hindrance.

It's Florida – It rains a lot here, but not for long periods of time. Classes don't usually get cancelled because of the weather unless we are anticipating a hurricane.

Health & Safety:
I usually feel very safe at UCF. However, the campus could use more lighting in parking lots.

Night Life – I don't usually go out very much, but i do like house parties. They are free and typically safe if you know the people.

There are many places to eat, however the lines are frequently long.

Health & Safety:
I feel very safe at my school. Everything is well lit, even at night in the park garages. There are posts all around campus where they have emergency phones and buttons to contact the police. Our own police department does a great job keeping the campus safe!

Central Campus – With a central campus everything is within walking distance. With all of the food places on campus one may not even leave for food. With activities, the school has many things going on from sporting events to social clubs.

Not the best but not the worst. At least some are secure with access limited to key cards/codes. The rooms are not the best though.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
