Great Labs! UCF has many great computer labs and free opportunities for printing!

My Future Career – I highly enjoy my Elementary Education program at UCF. The professors as well as my fellow classmates are easy to work with and make learning fun. The resources available on campus are excellent, especially the Curriculum Materials Center. I am somewhat concerned with finding a job when I graduate. If that happens, I will substitute teach and keep searching!

I'm in love with my school's campus. It is so aesthetic and pleasing to the eye. It may be vast and intimidating at first, but the newness of the buildings and how beautiful the scenery is is something I adore about my school. It is also currently the 2nd most populated school in the United States.

UCF has a zero tolerance for the use of drugs and alcohol on campus. This includes dorms and fraternity and sorority houses. If an event is registered such as tailgating or a fraternity party, it is okay but under age drinking is strictly enforced. If caught, being expelled from UCF is an option.

Campus dining isn't the most gourmet of places to eat. But we do have many decent restaurants placed all over campus that make up for it.

Housing Is Mediocre – As really at any university, or in any college town, students aren't always provided with the best apartments or off-campus housing available. The apartment I currently live in is off-campus and has many problems. For the most part it isn't completely awful; we are completely furnished and the rent has been pretty reasonable. But now the rent is going up a severe amount next year and it's leaving my family in a pickle. Some of the apartments are beautiful around our campus, but are ridiculously expensive.

Being Greek at UCF does not determine one's social status. Greeks as well as non-Greeks have close friendships and socialize in the same circles. Greek life is very much supported on campus and is just another way to get to know more people on campus.

Greek life at UCF basically fits almost almost every televised stereotype. The drinking, the partying, and every single one of the trends. However, there are exceptions to every stereotype. Some Fraternities and Sororities emphasize brotherhood/sisterhood, community Service, academics, and socializing. It is a really great way to meet people and helps one find a sense of belonging. Greek life does however dominate UCF.

Team Performance – It is a well known fact that most schools are only as strong/popular as their Football and Basketball teams enable them to be. UCF's team for the most part can and has been described as "up and coming". In the 2 or 3 years, UCF has blazed through the rankings and finally started to make a name for itself. As a student, it is awesome to be part of UCF's rise to the top, but sometimes you catch yourself wishing that they were already there.

Health & Safety:
Police and Safety Services – The officers on and off campus work to ensure the safety and well being of all the students and faculty here at UCF. When anything happens, no matter how minor the situation is, the officers provide us with a detailed and thorough account of what happened via e-mail. Definitely A+ service!

Financial What? The process of gaining finacial aid is one that takes much time, effort and patience. Forms upon forms must be kept in order and continually traced. Many students are faced with dealing with mistakes or confussion due to holds on financial aid. Although I do not personally know much about my financial aid because of the fortunate help I recieve from my parents I know that my financial aid is very limited and often altered. I hear many complaints about the financial aid system at our school and have seen grants and scholarship money come months late or incorrectly.

Greek Park – Within Greek Park life is extravagent in a manner exceeding the social life. Through philanthropic events held nearly each weekend as well as the myriad of service events the greek community portrays true passion for the goodness of Orlando's greater community. Although non-greek students see only the social and party aspect of the greek community, the sisterhoods and brotherhoods developed in the forever bonding expreience of ritual and tradition are hid admist infamous nights. UCF has little support for its greek communtity and is a minority in comparision to the overwhelming number of admitted students. Within the greek community everlasting friendship, and career opportunities continue to prosper in its efforts to grasp the traditions and ideals of its founders.

The Greater Orlando – The atmosphere of Orlando portrays the ever enriched sence of constant activity and advancement through the various theme parks and attractions. Orlando's broad boundries entices mutlifarious cultural traditions as well as new and growing cultural experiences. Students are always accknowledged through seemingly endless job or internship opportunities as well as discounts and proceed events.

Non Greek – Coming from a non Greek, Greek life really doesn't mean much to me at all. It doesn't take over the campus or anything, but there's plenty there if you wish to join.

Here in Orlando where UCF is located there is ALWAYS something to do. There are so many great restaurants, bars, and clubs to go to downtown or just down the street. There's always something going on on campus, too.

Health & Safety:
Safety on Campus – UCF takes precautions to keep its students safe such as having well lit walkways and alarms that students can press along walkways in case something bad were to ever happen. There are campus police all around, which make me feel even safer. I personally have never felt unsafe on UCF's campus.

Excellent Social Scene – UCF is unique to other schools due to it being just outside a major US tourist hub. When students have down time, they are just minutes from Disney. Not many schools can say that.

Very Diverse – At each class I have taken at UCF it has been a culturally diverse classroom with students and professors alike being of different ethnic backgrounds.

Safe and Well Lit – I feel completely safe on the UCF campus. It is well lit, and there are police patrols and call boxes at regular intervals all over campus.

There are never enough spots in the garages during the day and the parking police are extremely strict!

There isn't much to do around the UCF area. Mainly just bars, food and shopping. It'd be nice if there was more activities for broke college kids but otherwise it's a really fun town

UCF is one of Florida's largest schools and bring a diverse group of people from all over together.

We Have Awesome Traditions – UCF has great traditions to get the students actively participating on campus. We have great activities during homecoming week and also a welcome week to welcome all the students to a new school year.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
