Great Experience So Far. UCF is a large campus and with about 60,000 students but you would never feel it. Most people live off campus. They have great places to study and because it isn't "as" busy it help focus on school. There are three bars across the street which very convenient, so you have the best of both worlds; fun and studious.

Dining Off Campus – Off campus dining is not as convenient as on-campus. Firstly, you need a car to arrive at any destination and the cost is normal. there aren't many discounts for students. Off-campus dining is mainly at Waterford lakes which has a large variety of dining stores to choose from. Everything is pretty casual.

A Good Place – The campus is great. The classes are very interesting.

UCF really should incorporate easier parking facilities among campus. They should also incorporate a 5:30 pm reduced parking rate for parking at UCF.

The computers at the UCF main campus library are very plentiful. There seems to be more computers than books at times. One nice feature is the use of ipad rentals in the Library.

Campus Classroom – The classrooms are somewhat old on certain sections of campus. The media facilities are not always operable or the staff is not able to operate the old computers/media equipment. On the plus side. All general facilities such as Air conditioning and seating seem to be in good condition.

UCF is very accepting of all races and ethnicities. You will find every kind of person you can imagine here, and everyone is treated equally. Students can set up tables in the student union to promote their cause. Everyone is accepted.

There are many off-campus dining options near the University of Central Florida. The road leading to the university is lined with restaurant after restaurant, so there are many options for students to choose from. They range from fast food to sit down restaurants. UCF gives out coupons regularly for the restaurants within its vicinity, so one can see the restaurants are very student-friendly.

I feel that my sorority Alpha Epsilon Phi has made me extremely proud to be apart of something at UCF. We raised 10,000 dollars for the Eilizabeth Glaiser pediatric aids foundation and are at our half way goal of 10,000 for Sharsheret an organization affiliated with breast cancer.

I feel that the off housing campus selection affiliated with the school is disgusting. It is scary and the security does not do their jobs. A lot of people have been robbed and had their cars broken into. The apartments not affiliated with the school are pretty decent The rates are fairly priced and the communities are upscale having a pool, gym, clubhouse and etc...

PRE-LAW? You Mean PRE-STRESS! I am in the college of sciences, and I have been extremely dissatisfied with the professors at this university. I am a political science pre law major, psychology minor and seeking a certificate in behavioral forensics. This far I have encountered professors who read off powerpoints verbatom and cannot answer questions about grades on assignments simply based on the fact that they have their teaching assistants do all of their work. In my opinion the school is stricter on their policies such as dates on withdrawl deadlines and grade forgiveness options and do not care about their students success. They have a fake appeals process in which nobody ever gets approved. They're lack of encouragement discourages their student and has given UCF the nickname YOU CAN'T FINISH!

I plan on doing my first internship in a few years and at UCF they have a department dedicated to finding internships for students.

UCF is very strict about underage drinking, if it is not a game day you are not allowed to walk around campus with an open alcohol container.
I think Greek students are viewed as party people, they don't seem to be at college for educational purposes but rather to have a good time.

Dining Made Easy – The dining on campus doesn't even compare to other schools I have been to. There are so many choices such as fast food, dine in, and cafeteria style dining. There is also an array of places to choose from. They have American, Japanesse, subs, wraps, Chinese, and list goes on.

Plenty of Activities and Diversity – The University of Central Florida is located in a city that is diverse and is active. Almost all of the major theme parks are located in Orlando or close to Orlando making them close to the university. There are events that are also held in Orlando, just recently there was Calle Orange.

the on campus bus line makes too many stops to get you where you need to be in a timely manner. to take the bus off campus, it costs you money, which if you are like me, you don't have extra money to pay for it. To have a car on campus is a joke, but a bit convenient to use off campus.

Scholarship policies are pretty straightforward. Maintain the required GPA, keep your scholarships. That's the only one that i'm really familiar with. I suppose their plagarism one is pretty strict, as most schools would be. My main concern is the scholarship one, so that's my biggest concern, and I would rate it as fair.

It's usually sunny so it's not bad at all. But when it rains, there are always a ton of puddles.

Need Better Professors – Half of the professors here can't even speak English. If they do, they have really thick accents and no sense of how to teach.

Health & Safety:
Could Be Better – I feel unsafe walking around campus at night. There never seems to be any sort of safety officers patrolling.

Anthropology Admission – my program did not require an application, I was actually forced to pick a major beginning of Junior year I think, and it was fairly easy to declare my major....even though they dropped my classes until I declared it, which I didn't appreciate.

Pretty Good – It is fairly easy to apply for financial aid, just may take awhile for the paperwork to be processed, and for the aid to come in. They are good about deferring payments to help out though.

Computer Lab – UCF's library offers many computers and printing stations; if the student was willing to do their work on campus, they would not need their own computer or printer.
Usually crowded but it is easier to find a computer than a parking spot most of the time.

Orlando Overview – Orlando has something for everyone from the outdoor adventurer to the college partier. There are plenty of local sports bars, malls, coffee shops, restaraunts, and of course Disney and Universal! There are also chic, trendy areas like Park Ave and downtown for a more upscale night out. As for the outdoors there's Wekiva Springs, plenty of lakes, and beautiful parks with walking trails.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
