The feeling of leaving a study goup created by students know you will pass the exam is great. But after i had the experrience of receving an A on a Quiz then enjoying an amazing Frat party near campus and cellebrating the week success with close friends that i met on campus I know this is the best Campus in the nation.

Just Life – I am from a lower level of the economy yet i dont notice it at UCF. In addition I am Hispanic and I very much enjoy the acceptance and diversity at UCF. Diversity id esaily spotted and not seen as unusual nor wrong and i feel that it makes college life more enjoyable and gives the students more opertunities.

Student Union – I lovethe student union. it has everything you need. when im hungry they have plenty of food options, ranging from burger king to a mini market. there are places for school supplies and you can even get tickets for local theme parks and events at the ticketmaster. my favorite part however is the spacious halls where you can meet up with friends and study.
College Junior 2011-10-24T05:54:27Z
Walmart and Chain Places – Everything off campus is a part of a chain corporation. The few uniqueplaces ive been to are decent but id rather just go to the walmart in town and buy some supplies and make my own meal.

Health & Safety:
Never Felt Safer – Although the campus is quite large and spacious i have not once felt unsafe or scared for any reason. Everywhere you look there is a safe lighted area and almost every other corner has an emergency call station. The campus police are etremly helpful.

UCF parking is ridiculous. If you live off campus and have to commute to school then you better be here before 9:30am or you will never get parking. The cost of a year-round permit is sky high and it is very easy to get a ticket or fine.
College Junior 2011-10-24T01:07:24Z
There is a wide variation of nightlife on and around UCF campus. If parties, clubs, or bars are your thing then they are never hard to come by. However, if none of those things are your scene, then the school offers free movies, comedy shows, and other events frequently.

All of the facilities on campus are wonderful. The campus as a whole is always very clean and well kept. The gym is huge and all the equipment is usually in working order. The student union serves a number of purposes; whether you want a bite to eat or to study the day away, the union is a good place to be.

The facilities at the University of Central Florida is truly state of the art. The buildings all look brand new! The Recreation and Wellness center is definitely one of the best I've seen out of every school I've visited. The fitness classes are incredible! The student center is always full of life throughout the day with more than 10,000 people walking through the door during the school week! The library is a progressive one. The harder you need to study, higher level floor you may want to study in. There are always students in the library studying. Campus activities are definitely the best I've ever seen at a university. With over 58,000 enrolled student at the University of Central Florida, it is imperative the UCF has ample campus activities to keep the students involved and in touch with their campus. Ultimately, the overall atmosphere of the campus is a good one. Everyone is friendly and the campus is definitely inviting. It's great to be a UCF KNIGHT!

Spirit Splash! One example of the UCF difference is Spirit Splash. Every year at homecoming time, students are allowed one day to run into the fountain, and thousands show!

Towers Are Nice but Pricey – I lived in Towers last year. It was nice but high on the expensive side. Living in apartments off campus is much nicer with much less expenses. Of course, if you are a freshman living on campus is a better way to stay involved.
College Senior 2011-10-23T21:50:56Z
Buildings Are New – Most of the buildings on campus are new and in very good condition. The school is always under construction so that there are the latest technologies available. It is great to study in a place that feels safe and welcoming.

Overral Great Atmosphere – I love the laid back vibe and the overall welcoming atmosphere. It's a public school so there's so much diversity in religious and ethnic background. I didn't apply to any other school. There was just something that drew me into University of Central Florida that made me say, "If I don't get into this school, then I don't want to go anywhere else."

Shuttles Are Awesome – There are shuttles that run from the time classes begin to ample time after they end during the week. Most, if not all of the major apartment complexes within close proximity to the school have this option. It saves on gas, a parking permit, and it runs every 15 minutes. Sometimes they do come a little late, but leave with an ample amount of time before your class begins and you'll be just fine.

Not Too Bad on Strictness – Of course the things that are made illegal by law are enforced, but at the same time, it's not like you're anymore prone to getting caught on campus then you would off campus. Often times there will be news of a robbery or crime of some sort and police will patrol for the safety of others, but they don't random checks to see if people are breaking the law. What's done is to ensure safety and regulatory guidelines.

Like most schools, UCF isn't going to just hand you money. However, there is money to be had, so it's worth your time to fill out the necessary paperwork. It all starts with FAFSA! FILL IT OUT ASAP! The sooner you do your FAFSA the more likely you are to get financial aid. Go to UCF's website for a list of available scholarships. Also, go visit the Financial Aid office and stay persistent!

The University of Central Florida (Orlando, FL) is quite a grand campus; not only is it home to over 50,000 students, UCF offers a great college experience as well. The campus itself is well manicured and very aesthetically pleasing--the buildings are up to date and most classrooms are very technologically advanced. There is always something fun going on at campus and whether it's a music concert or a UCF student organization event, there is something for everyone! The student gym is out of this world and has everything you could want. The library hosts a wealth of information and offers lots of great study space. All-in-all the University of Central Florida is very worthy of your tuition dollars so come and take a campus tour and see for yourself all that UCF has to offer!

Limited, but Effective – I have only spoken to the financial aid office once or twice during the past two and a half years. Each time, though, they have been very helpful and informative about any options I might have. You do feel a little rushed to wrap up your appointment, so if you have a lot of questions it could be a little frustrating.

The dining options at UCF are what you would expect on a college campus. You have the option of a meal plan, dining dollars, both, or none. Freshman year I had a meal plan of 10 meals per week and $100 in dining dollars for the semester. Sophomore year and now, my junior year I do not use either.
There are two dining hall/cafeterias on opposite sides of campus so no matter where you are, you aren't far from one. They both have the options of pizza and sandwiches each day, along with 3 or 4 other options such as pasta, burgers, brisket, etc. They options seemed to repeat themselves quite often, however I was generally impressed with the food.
If you do not wish to eat at a dining hall, there are several fast food places in the student union. Burger King, Sbarro Pizza, and Asain Chao are a few of the choices. You can also find a Chick Fil A, a couple Subways, a sushi restaraunt, and a few sport bar type of places on campus. The best places to eat in my opinion would be Corner Cafe - a small place in the student union that offers a variety of wraps and paninis (the best being the buffalo chicken wrap) and Tailgaters - a sports bar near the stadium that has what you would expect, but at great prices and the food is delicious.

Psychology is such a fascinating and diverse field of study, and UCF has wonderful professors that do their best to prepare you for your future in any field. Every professor in the program has been more than willing to help in any way that they can: in office hours, answering emails promptly, and giving advice about graduate school. Some classes, especially those with a focus in the physical and research aspects of psychology such as Physiological Psychology and Research Methods of Psychology, do have a heavier course load, but I have never felt too overwhelmed to do well in each course. With Psychology being such a naturally intriguing subject, the curriculum is as interesting as one would suspect. I have really enjoyed the classes that discussed disorders, such as Abnormal Psychology, Childhood Psychopathology, and Clinical Psychology. Finding the right career in the field of Psychology can be a little daunting due to the wide variety of options, but the Office of Experiential Learning offers a great deal of assistance in finding internships that will help you pick your niche and later find a job.

Health & Safety:
Personal Safety on Campus – During daytime, it feels great to be on campus. I feel like im completely safe and protected. But at the late hours, it doesn't feel the same. I had to stay on campus until 10 o'clock a few times and to be honest, I didn't feel too safe. It was empty, with only few people walking around. I felt like if something happened to me, nobody would hear me if I was screaming for help. Students say that there is a security guy walking around the campus, but I didn't see him any of the times that I had to stay late.

Help for Students – I think that student government at University of Central Florida is doing a great job at helping students. They have two printing labs on campus, where you can print up to 20 pages front and back! That is so helpful, especially because many students have trouble with their printers. With the printing lab, they can print anything from the sport application to a lecture notes for class.

There are people of many different races, religions, and sexual orientations around campus. While UCF is still a mostly white campus there has not been any intolerance that I have seen and there are many clubs aimed towards the continued diversification of studetns.

Variety of Places to Eat on Campus. There are many places to eat on campus including dining halls and restaurants. It is not completely needed to have a meal plan because two of the dorm communities have a fully stocked kitchen in every room and the prices at the on campus restaurants are not very expensive.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
