Not very happy, if I could redo it I would go for something else at a different school. Only bright side is that I can take most or all of my courses on line. Program is perfect for Teachers, if you are not one, then you need to rethink this degree, I found out the hard way.

I don't live on campus or in off-campus housing. However, there is a lot of reports of shots fired, muggings, stolen vehicles, and home invasions. I would definitely stay away from off-campus housing.

Dining at UCF is ok. Things are unbelievable high. At some places you even receieve less than you would if you where to drive off campus. There are some different places, but for the most part its all the same. It is worth it to drive off campus for lunch or bring your lunch.

Greek Versus GDI – My boyfriend is in a fraternity and it's a nice "family" scene, but I'm personally against Greek life anywhere on/near a college campus.

I really don't go out that much but when I do the local bars are gross, as in dirty floors, atmosphere, and bathroom but they are pretty good set ups for socializing and meeting new people. Don't hate them, just don't love them.

Lots of Choice No Pay – If you want an internship you can find one easily, you'll even get school credit with almost no hassle. Sadly, like most internships you don't get paid.

No Better Place – UCF night life is amazing. Luckily for us every one has to compete. There are so many students that everyone has to offer a great deal. Drinks are cheap and there's always some place to go.

UCF has over 50,000 students. Some love football some love soccer, but everyone's always outside playing something. When it comes time for tail gating you barely see the ground. The campus totally transforms into a city.

Everyone Loves Florida – It's perfect here. It's a huge and beautiful campus filled with so many students. My favorite thing is the walk back from the library to my dorm, when I get to walk past these troubadours playing guitars and drums.

Sports, especially football and basketball, are very important at UCF. In fact, our campus is just beginning to emerge in sports. We are quite a large community and we love our knights!

Printing, Computer Labs, Need Personal Computer/Printer – Overall, UCF has an amazing setup for students. There are places to print in the student union, but I would suggest bringing your own printer. You can copy pages of books for free in the library. And, in beginning level math courses you're required to attend a computer lab for credit. The library also provides computers. So technically it's not required and you can get by without one, but I highly suggest getting a personal computer and printer.

Having a Car Is Not Mandatory – UCF provides shuttle buses for transportation to your apartments and for all your partying needs! UCF also offers their students 3 vouchers a semester for free cab rides anywhere you please!

Off-campus housing is pretty sweet for what you're getting. Most of the apartments include all amenities, so you won't have to pay for the water or electricity bill.

University of Central Is Amazing. When I say there's always something to do, I'm not kidding! There's over 300 clubs to get involved in. There's a club for anything & everything, & if they don't have a club you're looking for, then make one! I love the gym. That is probably my favorite part. It's so beautiful. The campus itself is gorgeous. Since UCF is a pretty new school, all the facilities are pretty new. I love UCF and I don't regret coming here. GO KNIGHT!! :)

I Get Around – If you choose to live off campus and don't have a car, have no fear!! University of Central Florida has designated shuttles that come to each student housing community, free of charge! The shuttles run until 10:00pm every night, except on Fridays. In lieu of Fridays, there is a KnightLynx bus, which is a service provided by our public transportation system, which allows students free admission from 8:00pm-3:00am with a valid student ID on Friday and Saturday evenings. If not, you can always catch the city bus (Lynx) for $2.00 anytime.

Late Night Snacking – The dining hall is open till midnight when you want to get something to eat. There is also a chick-fil-a on campus which no other school has.

Study Halls – There are plenty of places on campus where you can go and study. Many places are open till after midnight which is great when you need time to get away and study.

In big lecture halls the professors make themselves available to every student. They have resources for students to make good grades.

Home Away from Home – Located on the eastside of Orlando, University of Central Florida is what brings the city to life. In fact, if you weren't careful, you would think that the university was a city all on its own, as it sits upon acres and acres of land. Not to mention it feels as though most of the theme parks are in our backyard.

SGA Making Leaps and Bounds – Last year the SGA opened up a study room near the Arena and the Towars on-campus apartments. It is open 24 hours during the week with lots of hours on the weekends as well. This year they changed the Student Union hours. It is now also open 24 hours 5 days a week and offers study areas as well as social areas to hang out with your friends. The Student Union also has free Scantrons for students and is home to the SGA ticket counter where you can get discounted tickets to local attractions.

Drink It up – There is not an excess of illicit drug usage, probably the same as anywhere else. Drinking, however, is excessive. There is no problem for underage students to drink in regards to access and location.

The Happiest Place on Earth – With Disney World, Universal Orlando, water parks, and one of the largest tourism areas in the country, there is always something to do. Waterford Lakes Center is only a few miles from campus and has lots of shopping and dining options. International Drive, Universal Orlando, and the Mall at Millenia are about 30 minutes away and feature upscale shopping, the theme park experience, and bars and dining establishments galore! Many local vendors give discounts to UCF students, and the UCF SGA provides discounted tickets to theme parks, etc. to students.

Since our campus is in central Florida, we often have those afternoon thunderstorms. Luckily my parking garage and Education/Teaching Academy are close to each other, so it does not effect me that much.

Greek life at UCF is pretty popular, but not as big as schools like Florida State, or UF. There's a handful of houses of the more popular frats and sororities on Greek Row, but there arent that many parties anymore. I have friends in frats and sororities and I dont view them differently.

The gym at Central Florida is such a positive outlet for me. It's a clean facility with a fun environment. All of our equipment is brand new and I never have to wait for any machines- it's huge. Also our student union has so many choices to eat and places to study. It's a hang out for many students.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
