The Plaza Is Always Bumpin – The plaza has Library, dungeon, Fubar, and Library most importantly. You're always bound to meet someone new. The club scene is always live

Living on Campus Is a Must – Living on campus your freshman year is the best decision I've ever made. I hear of so many people who never really clicked with a group or new friends in college but by living on campus, I was best friends with practically my whole floor and the RA always put on amazing activities and socials that all off campus kids missed out on

Orlando's Atmosphere – UCF is the perfect distance from downtown which offers great ethnic restaurants, clubs, and music venues as well as very close to Disney & Universal. The college campus is very safe and the surrounding shops and plaza's are all very college kid friendly.

Guys & Girls:
There is a wide variety of guys and girls at the UCF campus. From the surfer/skater type to the preppy type to the urban type, UCF has practically a type for everyone!

I am in the College of Sciences and I am majoring in Biology. The classes for my degree can be on the rigorous side, but there is a lot offered to help me do well in these classes. For example, the SI sessions are extremely helpful when you can't grasp a certain concept or if you even feel like you just want to understand a topic more in depth. In addition, there is such variety in volunteering opportunities. This is quite helpful, because I am not sure of my specific career.

Financial aid was a bit of a nightmare, but I think that's because I didn't have very strong guidance. I wasn't sure what I had to do. Make sure you know your deadlines.

It has been hard to adjust at Central Florida. I came from a very, very small school and the classes are much harder than I thought it would be. But it's been okay and I've made friends who are in the same boat.

Parking can be difficult. Get there early because finding a spot can be hard. Definitely buy a parking pass because daily rates add up.

The athletics at UCF make all other universities look like an elementary rec program. Our intramural sports are always nationally ranked and vary from ultimate frisbee to table tennis to coed flag football. There is a multitude of fields and locations for every one in any sport or niche. Most of UCF students are involved in at least one intramural sport throughout the year. Fan turnout of UCF sports is consistanly impressive, even our football games are packed/

There is a multitude of cultural diversity at UCF. Cultural diversity is widely celebrated through campus wide events and activities. There is even a multicultural center for students of any ethnicity. Recently there was an Islamic celebration, soon there is an organized dance class celebrating traditional african dances. There are many different campus ministries for any religion.

There are a variety of off campus restaurants within a safe biking distance from UCF. A lot of chain restaurants as well as some delicious hole in the wall places. With a UCF ID we are offered a number of discounts at restaurants and even target. There is a large shopping center .4 miles away from campus with fine dining and fast food. The prices vary from one place to the next and there are a multitude of options. Waterford is the nicest area to eat in, along with convinient shopping. Alayfaya has a great number of delicious and cheap places to eat as well.

My Own Piece of Paradise – I love UCF! Being an out-of-state student that literally applied and accepted without even visiting the campus, I am completely satisfied. The school has a very good system, a great student government that is always improving, its active, and and overall beautiful campus. The faculty is overall good, I've only had a few teachers that I had troubles with, particularly in understanding their accents, but there are so many resources for academic help that you could learn the class without hardly going to class (even though you really, really should). The partying is left off campus so there is a good balance; Step off and have a good time, step back on campus and crank out some homework. There are shuttles for on, and off campus that add to convenience and safety factors. I would HIGHLY recommend UCF to any student, from anywhere.

Guys & Girls:
Guys and Girls – There are a variety of good-looking guys on campus though where they reside and what classes they take is unknown to us girls. There are plenty of frat guys who can be spotted by their general attire of polos and khaki pants.
College Junior 2011-10-11T17:24:25Z
Food and Dining Options – The dining halls food quality is satisfactory at best but certainly not high quality. The food in the places such as Marketplace and Knightro's is usually the same menu selection. There are a variety of places to eat outside the meal plan locations but are not included in the meal plans.

The Cops Are Obviously Bored. The police like to focus mainly on j-walking. which is obnoxious because there is a lot worse going on. I get "alerts" sent to me almost daily of incidents going on on campus. The nighttime bike cops that patrol the campus are alright, one sat and talked to us for a few hours one night last year, he even bought us pizza. Chuck's the best. This might look bad but at least he was involved rather than just sitting around.
College Junior 2011-10-11T17:22:11Z
Computer Labs – There are a variety of options in computer labs in many buildings on campus. There are also various locations that can provide free printing such as the Study Lounge. The network is very reliable and the speed is satisfactory. Wireless access can be found almost anywhere.

Greek Life is a big part of UCF's atmosphere. However, the groups do not have a very good reputation and get into a lot of trouble, especially this year, 2011, with some incidents taking place that bring a bad perception of our campus life.

Printing on campus is fast, easy and convienient. The best part of it all is that it's FREE and with college students having so much going on already, it makes life a whole lot easier

No Happy Medium – It's rare you'll find a nice, 75 degree weather day. It's either hot as hell, cold as anything, or just miserably raining all day.
College Junior 2011-10-11T03:19:40Z
Paying for parking is a waste of money. It's a fifty-fifty chance you will find a spot to park before class unless you have left 45 minutes early to give you time. Buses are nice, though. Very convinient

The Bright House Stadium is very clean, new, and state of the art. Recreational center is clean and friendly. There's a wide array of different restaurants to choose from within the student union. The library is vast and plentiful, with computer lab areas that are easily accessible.

Elementary Education – I just recently changed my major to Elementary Education and I absolutely love it. The professors are great. I enjoy my internship opportunities and love the schools that I complete my hours at. My workload is a little rough, but I love the major.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
