Tons of Resources Available – UCF has tons of resources and recreational activities just waiting to be utilized. The gym is huge and equipped with state of the art exercise machines. The library is open until very late at night and has friendly staff available to help with any inquiries. The Student Union is packed with fast food places, computer and printing labs, and convenience stores, so it's possible to get all your errands done in one place.

Dorms Are Modern, but Small – The dorms at the University of Central Florida are nice, but they are small. The apartment style dorms are nice because they include a kitchen and a living room, but again the bedrooms are small. They are, for the most part, clean and taken care of. The only inconvenience about one dorm building is the location; far from classroom buildings.

A Lot to Do! Orlando is a great city to live in. About seven minutes away from campus is Waterford Lakes which is a HUGE strip mall with a variety of stores and restaurants. Also, all of the theme parks, including Universal Studies, Islands of Adventure, Disney World, etc., are only about thirty minutes from campus. The box office on campus actually sells discounted tickets to these theme parks for students, which is extremely convenient! The airport is only about twenty five minutes from campus and we have a taxi service that will take you as far as downtown, for free!

Lots of Options – UCF provides students with lots of alternatives to get to school besides driving-probably because they know finding parking is a hassle. There are shuttle buses that run to and from every apartment complex 6am-10pm M-F along with new hybrid cars students can rent to carpool with each other.

Visible, but Not Overpowering – Greeks are seen everywhere on campus and are involved in many other things besides their sororities and fraternities. They aren't as exclusive as some other schools, but do have a lot of pride within their organizations.

Decent Food, Lots of Options – The Meal Plan food is decent with multiple options at each of the two locations. "Knight Cash" (meal plan dollars) can be used at almost all of the fast food and other restaurants on campus and even at the Dominoes off campus giving you a great alternative to the sometimes repetitive meal plan cuisine.

UCF is a pretty good school. They do try to get you involved the first week of classes but after that it's pretty boring. I do like how most of the students are very study oriented and have respect for each other. Everyone is pretty nice to each other. The foods pretty good, though not always stocked. The school spirit is pretty great, it's fun on game days. Overall it's a good school.

The policies here are pretty strict, we had to complete drinking, consent, and acasdemic integrity classes. They don't tolerate drinking or drugs. If you are found with them you can get privileges taken away or law enforcement can be involved. Our campus is also very strict on parking, you almost always get a ticket if you park in the wrong spot.

Guys & Girls:
The guys and girls at UCF are the average, american eagle, pretty, preppy, outgoing, student. Everyone's already in a click and they stick with them. They are the typical college kid, who likes to drink and party.

So hot! Naturally, Florida is hot. But walking across the huge UCF campus makes it seem even hotter.

I Don't Live on Campus! but My Friends Do – I don't live on campus, but my friends do, and they like it fine. The location of the dorms is good, kind of offset from the main area but still convenient for classes. Also, everything in the dorms work alright and privacy isn't very much of an issue for them.

I have my own laptop, so I don't usually need to use the computers at school. When I have though, they've worked fine and I've never had any complaints about them.

School Spirit – Here at UCF we really support all of our athletic teams. However the football team is what brings the campus to life. The biggest tailgate parties that I have ever seen goes on out here, and everyone is in black and gold supporting our school colors.

At UCF food is one thing that you will never have to worry about. In addition to the large amount of places to eat on campus, there are even more as soon as you leave the campus. There is a large variety of restaurants literally seconds outside from UCF. Everything from fast food to seafood is right at your fingertips.

Computer Labs, and Network Reliability – The computer labs at UCF are great, there are a lot of computers so you never have to worry about not being able to use one at any time of the day. They all are fully functionable and have the latest software on them that enables you to do all that you need to do to get your work done. The network at UCF is also very relaiable, you can connect to their wifi with no problems, and the speeds are as fast as if you were directly plugged into an ethernet cable. Outstanding equipment!

They're Starting to Crack Down – Due to recent issues with drinking and indecency UCF is starting to become more strict about their punishments. However the SGA is in the process of creating a safety net for students saying that if they get involved with the police due to drinking they can't be expelled from the University. It's honestly not too bad if you're smart about drinking.

Dorms Are Best for Underclassmen – The dorms on campus are best for underclassman students. Usually after your first year on campus you're best bet is to live off campus. Also, unless you live in the Towers (campus apartments) there usually isn't a whole lot of room for students who aren't freshmen. But the quality isn't too bad, it's kind of expensive but the living situation isn't too bad.

Excellent Library – UCF makes sure students have all the resources required to receive the best possible education. The library is very extensive with a computer lab, coffee shop, five floors of books, two floors dedicated to peace and quiet for studying and is open all hours of the night. They also hold events closer to finals to aid students with studying.

Easy Aid – I have never had a problem with the financial aid office. Its always been on time as long as i turned in the paperwork on time. So I would just suggest turn in required forms on time and you wouldnt have anything to worry about.

Offcampus Food – A lot of yogurt shops offer student discounts. But not the actual food places. Even places that have discounts arent that cost efficient. There are a lot of restaurants around ucf, and good ones too. They do tend to get pricy.

The dining hall at ferrel commons has great choices for food and the prices arent that bad either. Over all its the best choice for a meal plan on campus.

Early Childhood Education – The college of Education at UCF ensures that the students have all of the materials that they need to succeed successfully after graduation. The advisors at the college of Education are very helpful and empathic when it comes to picking classes and making sure that we are on track for graduation. I really enjoy all of the 'clinical' experience that we get. We are constantly being put into classrooms all around Orlando to see the do's and dont's of teachers. After graduating from UCF I plan on getting a career in teaching abroad. I want to utilize my skills in different parts of the world and really make a difference.

Permit Cost – The parking situation on our campus is very good. There are a large amount of lots and garages for students to park in. And the cost of a 3 semester permit is fairly priced (especially compared to other schools surrounding us)

Club Scene – I think that the club scene around UCF is pretty fun. There is always some where to go any night of the week and you are guaranteed to know at least one person when you go out. The bars around campus are all 18 and up which is good because more people come out.

The deadlines and rules for financial aid are constantly changing. Last year I missed the deadline for aid by one day and there was absolutely no exception even though I was the most qualified applicant (having two unemployed parents). I find it a little disheartening that an individual with more family income received that aid because they applied one day before me.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
