I Dont Regret Business – I am happy with my program and the track laid out for me. The track is simple and certainly prepares one for their potential career path. I am not worried about finding a job because I know I will have an internship that will lead me to my chosen career path. The concern I have is finding a job in the particular career path I desire opposed to simply an available one. My goal is to be in the career I desire within two years of graduating.

Frequent but Under Control – There are a lot of drinkers, but its not that out of hand. There is frequent police patrols over all parts of campus and many people are caught. I am not really afraid of any incidences.

Really Good Track – I am satisfied with the Business Major track and do not plan on changing my major throughout my college career. There are many internship opportunities and many scholarships that the college of business awards to students. There are also many speakers that come to UCF to discuss various business topics.

Alternatives to Drinking – I like the fact that the university offers events to students as alternatives to drinking.

Living on Campus – Living in a dorm is convenient, but would be better if you could choose who you room with.

Health & Safety:
Safety on Campus – I feel safe when I walk alone on campus, but it would be better if there were more emergency poles located around campus.

If you want to party this is the place to go. I dont think there is a weakened when a party is not happening.

Well in Reach – As far as off campus eating goes its hard to beat that at UCF. It is conveniently placed between major roads, both populated with main stream eateries. There is also a cluster of restaurants ive never seen anywhere else. Rather they exist other places I don't know. One such place is LazyMoon which is well known for their delicious oversized floppy pizza.

On campus the main place to access a computer is in the library. These computers are by no means high performance, however, there also not dinosaurs. If you want to print you have to put money on your knights card then use that money to print which can be a pain. That set aside if your willing to walk just a little further there are various computer labs hidden around the school. If you can find them you can use them. They all also offer free printing! The only draw back is that its not in color so if you want color you have to go back to the library.

Health & Safety:
I have never felt unsafe on UCF's campus. There are plenty of emergency phones scattered through campus and police drive around all night. Campus is well lit too.

My School – The University of Central Florida is very similar to most American universities. We have the second largest student body in the nation. Our campus is really unique in that it was built in a circular shape. This makes campus very easy to navigate. My only complaint about UCF is the food. We have only chain restaurants for the most part on campus and off campus. I would love to see more diversity and mom and pop kind of eateries, giving the college town vibe.

We Need a Little More School Pride – The university of Central Florida's football team is getting more and more attention. More people are coming out to games and showing their school spirit this year than ever before. I think we should show more pride in other sports, such as soccer.

There is a diverse range of ethnicities on campus. It is great to discuss backgrounds and learn new things.

They have many food options and is great way to socialize with friends.

There are plenty of computers on campus. I would recommend getting there early to use them.

I would give the facilities on campus an A+. They are truly one of the best facilities I have ever seen on a public institution and considering the UCF is an up & coming school I feel as if that is a selling point in which they capitalize on as far as incoming Freshman and their parents. They just recently expanded the rec center to accomodate the many students wanting to workout & ensure the image of body perfection & health. Our library isn't that large overall, however, due to the great help that you receive from the student workers and the librarians it makes your experience go by that much smoother because they make it easier on you as far as locating books and articles for information needed for your studies.

This Is a Great Place – I am in a sorority and that keeps me highly involved in campus life. I absolutely love the experience. I enjoy going to all of the athletic events! I have been to baseball, soccer, football and even volley ball games. Homecoming is by far the best time of the year, I love the skits and the homecoming floats. The teachers are also very helpful and there is a lot of opportunity to thrive here, I have been a teacher assistant for two semesters and have been apart of undergraduate research. The cost is not that bad either, housing is very affordable and the variety of food and activities on and off campus is eternal. UCF also offers a lot of great perks, the gym is huge and has all up to date equipment, the printing lab allows free printing every day, there are always great ways to win free stuff, and there are over 300 clubs and organizations.

Can Never Find a Parking Spot – Parking on campus is horrible. They are always building new parking garages but there is still not enough space to accomodate to all of the students that come to UCF. I usually give myself an extra 45 minutes each day just for parking. They have a shuttle that picks students up from thier apartments so to reduce parking spaces, but the catch is that you have to live within a certain perimeter to the school to have that service available. The parking decals and hang tags are also very expensive, they cost between $80-100. Since we live in east orlando, the distance to other parts of orlando is sometimes long as well. There is traffic everywhere, and the distance between each place is relatively far. It takes me about 30 minutes to get to work each day.

Guys & Girls:
A Good Blend of Students – UCF has a large variety of students and it would be unfair to depict the students as one group. I would say there are multiple types of people here. We have athletes, sorority and fraternity life, performing arts, and everyone is mainly from different town/cities in Florida. Students range from middle to upper middle socioeconomic class but all seem to get along and are much more modest than the stereotypical college student.

Continuing to Cut Majors, but Classes Are Interesting – Not a large graduate program, but they help you get internships and co-ops

Guys & Girls:
Great 3:2 Girl-To-Guy Ratio – It's a good school to take a 'scenic route'. Usually a good amount of girls out at nights. Friendly guys/girls

Good Selection and Variety – Tastes like an ordinary buffet. Does have a great selection and 100+ soda choices.
Recent Alumnus 2011-09-20T05:27:49Z
Decent Mix – Though it is not the most diverse campus, there is a nice mixture of individuals from different cultures and backgrounds.

Traffic Is Always Crowded – They offer free shuttle buses to students living close to campus and save from spending your money on gas and bus fee. long distance transportation isn't the best especially in the middle of the day but local transportation isn't so bad and traffic is only bad in the middle of the day.

The university is always under construction but there is barely any parking spot when you get there. The best time to find a parking would be early in the morning but sometime, the only parking space available in in the back of the lot or in the parking garade. permits cost is reasonable and there are cars to rent on campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
