Campus Stritchness – The police enforce rules such as underage drinking and drug use with out any tolerance...which is completely fair. There aren't many school policies that interfere with our social lives. Our campus rules are designed to keep us safe but to allow us to feel trusted.

Guys & Girls:
You will find a diverse group of men and women. Most people dress well and their fashion choices express their personality. A lot of men like to long board/skate board and there seems to be many athletes on campus. I haven't encountered anyone who was not friendly. Everyone seems to be easy going.

The University of Central Florida does have a lack of availability of parking spaces on campus. At UCF, there are 6 parking garages with 4 floors and a roof parking area, however, with the number of enrolled students either enrolled for on campus-classes, live on campus and use a parking spot, or commute for use of the library or other resources, there is not enough parking spaces to support the minimal amount of students at any given time. Numerous accidents I have seen happen because of the traffic problem UCF has on campus and many times have I seen garages get closed to use for events which minimizes available spaces for students going to class or the library even further. Personally, I believe that if I'm paying $94.00 annually for a parking pass, I should as a student, have almost a guaranteed parking space or at least availability of one at least half the time I'm on campus because as of now I do not feel that I can access and utilize the resources that UCF offers that my tuition helps pay for because of the parking problem and its unfair.

Student Involvement – University of Central Florida offers such a wide range of student involvement opportunities from Campus Activity Board events where students can participate in 1 of 7 or multiples of types of Campus Activities setups. Within the CAB team, students can organize, plan and head up events at UCF from movies, to hosting comedian shows, and setting up big name concerts. Also, UCF offers an extremely long list of student organizations and clubs and even if a student does not see anything on the list, any student can petition for their own club where all they need is 1- joining members and a signature from Student Involvement Office and the new club is made. It is really extensive and diverse at UCF and the way they try to involve students in campus activities.

Cost and Convenience of Housing – The cost of living on campus is a little higher than surrounding on campus options such as those of Valencia Community College. This, however, is most likely due to the demand of housing on UCF Campus and the lack of multiple facilities on campus. The convenience of moving into the dorms is not exactly what I expected since the resident only gets one day to move in and two days to move out when the semester is over. On the other hand, the amount of assistance the facility of the dorms give during these times are substantial and very helpful for last minute moving and organization of dorm room furniture.

Rosen Is Awesome! It wasn't difficult to get into the Rosen College of Hospitality management. It has been such a wonderful experience. I have been told time and time again that in order to make it in the Hospitality industry you must have a passion for it. Every person I try to promote this fine institution to I express passion to them. I am a transfer student so I took all of my general education courses at a community college. I had all 60 credits to attend here and 3.7 gpa. The one tip I would tell anybody is apply ahead of time so you are guaranteed a spot and keep your grades up. College is such a wonderful, unforgettable experience.

Scholarships, scholarships, scholarships. There are always so many listed and if you take the time to look and take part in them you are almost always guaranteed something. Another financial aid tip is always get your FAFSA in by the due date. I can't stress enough how important that is.

I am in Rosen Apartment and we have free bus service from our campus to main campus which is generally about 45 minutes away. If you drive to main campus there are unfortunate toll booths and a lot of traffic.

Small and Comfortable – The Apollo dorms are awesome. They have a little living room area between two rooms that house two people each. The bathroom is between the rooms. I personally think this is the best, especially since the sinks are in the bathroom as apposed to Nike where the bathroom is in the middle, and the sink is in the room. Apollo is also so much closer to the middle of campus and classrooms than Nike. Overall, no problems with housing. Apollo's not so bad in price either!

Never Go Hungry – There are many different places and many different types of food located everywhere on UCF campus. There's a Burger King, Smoothie King, Asian Chao, just to name a few. And that's just in the Student Union! There are tons of places to grab a bite to eat, whether your in the business administration building next to Einstein Bros. Bagels or by the arena next to a Domino's pizza. Dining halls aren't half bad, either. The food is awesome!

Health & Safety:
Complete Safety – I have never felt threatened, violated, or in harm's way to any degree while on University of Central Florida's Orlando campus. There are emergency boxes everywhere, so if ever are in danger, someone will come to you immediately. Also, they have a late night security officer that will take you to your car, or dorm and make sure you are inside before he leaves. That also gives me peace of mind knowing that I can use these services. It may be a big campus, but it definitely does not lack in security.

Drinking Is More Popular – The drug scene at Boston College is not really big, although it depends on who you hang out with. If people are doing drugs, they're usually just smoking. Drinking is a much more popular activity.

Always Have an Umbrella! It is extremely hot and humid in Orlando for most of the year. Dress comfortably and carry an umbrella at all times, because a shower can happen at any time. Classes are not cancelled for rain but the university may close if there is a significant hurricane threat.

Kind of Confusing – Make sure to fill out the FAFSA on time. Keep up with credit hour and GPA requirements. The first semester is the most tricky when trying to set up your financial aid. Pay attention to your "To Do" and "Holds" lists.

Parking is a complete nightmare from about 10am until 2pm. They built another garage, but it hasn't made a huge difference in the parking situation. Tickets are given out very frequently. Carpool with other people as much as you can. If you live at an affiliated off-campus apartment complex, take the shuttle to school.

Drinking Is Common – The drug scene at UCF is not huge. There are campus activist groups for the legalization of marijuana, but that is the only noticable drug-related activity. Drinking, especially during tail gating, is very common.

Everything Is Great! UCF has a wonderful campus. The gym was just expanded last year. It offers a ton of different ways to stay in shape and is a great place to work out. The health center is state of the art. All of the buildings are architecturally pleasing and in good shape. The technology available in all the labs, classrooms, and the library is great. UCF has excellent facilities that meet every need a student could have.

It's There, but It Does Not Dominate – I do not do drugs but I know that obviously there are kids that do. I do not believe it dominates life at UCF. Kids understand that drugs are a taboo now, so if they do do them, it is in the privacy of their homes/dorms and they definitely do not share that information unless it's with friends who do drugs with them.

VERY IMPORTANT – Greek life is beyond important to UCF. The greek life is what almost runs the school because they bring in so much money for UCF. Most students hate greek life because of the amount of influence they have and how they get away with everything negative that they do. Most students would agree that they definitely bring down the moral and ethical medium of the school because of their actions. I rate it an A+ because of how important greek life is to the school business, not because I feel that it is a good thing.

Parties and Clubs – In Orlando there are tons of clubs. Most of them are open to people 18 years of age or over, so pretty much everyone from the college can go. The clubs are always really cheap around here and are extremely fun. The parties are fun, also. There's good music and lots of fun people around.

I go to the University of Central Florida and so far I am pleased with the classes I have taken. I am an aspiring physical therapist, and the academic counselors here are a huge help when it comes to picking out classes. They really seem to care about your education and want to help as best as they can. They do a wonderful job.
