Business Majors – I'm still working on my prerecs for the college of business and I'm debating on majoring in Accouting or Marketing. Regardless of which one, I feel confident education myself here because of the wonderful instructors. All the instuctors have real life experince: my accounting teacher is a CPA and my marketing teacher launched her own firm. They have a lot of wisdom to offer. It is a lot of work but you learn a lot.

Major Choices – There are plenty of major choices here at UCF. I can even choose different tracks inside my major. I wouldn't really want to change my major. So far, I haven't had any bad experiences within my major. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. I hope that they can help me on my way to fulfill my career goals to work in TV Production

Fast, Large Campus, Heavy Traffic, Lots to Do – There are plenty of attractions to keep busy with. Disney, Universal, and Sea World are a few examples. These attractions are less than an hour away from the campus, but they are a little expensive. There are plenty of shopping malls and places to eat too. Traffic around the campus is a little heavy and parking is sometimes a little rough too.

The university offers tutoring and SARC (student academic resource center) that helps troubled students with their classes. The professors are happy to be there and love their job which makes class worth going to.

Easy With Planning – Getting into my program was not difficult. The difficulty came when I decided to switch my major and was unable to complete some of my prerequisites for my program in a timely manner. The most important criteria is planning and talking to advisors to double check your progress.

Lots of Help – There are many different resources here on campus. Students must be willing to visit offices and take time out of their day but there are definitely multiple ways to get assistance with the workload. Whether large or average

East Vs. West – The East side is collegetown. There are a lot of restaurants and clubs but I don't go to clubs. I would rather a museum or attractions of that sort, most of those are downtown or on the West side. So there is a little traveling to be done but I believe it is worth it!

Competition brings out the best in people. If it were easy everyone would have a Business degree. The level of difficulty really brings out the best in every student. For example, the people who passed the financial accounting class at our school, you know those people had to be dedicated and willing to really focus for long hours.

The process of getting into Elementary Education isn't too difficult. You have to have all of the common pre req's done and you have to take the GKT also known as the General Knowledge Test before you are really "in" the major. Not to difficult if you ask me!

Orlando in a Nutshell – Where to begin?! I currently reside in Orlando Florida. I'm enrolled at the University of Central Florida and it's honestly the best decision I have ever made. Orlando has so many fabulous things to offer. There are many different cultural festivals, over a doxen theme parks, and many neighboring colleges. There is always something fun to do and the nightlife is booming. I would reccommend Orlando to anyone.

Do I Regret Legal Studies – As a Legal Studies major, it's tough to really explain how secure the chances of landing a job is after law school, but its something that I've always wanted to do. It's been my dream to become an attorney. If I followed my parents advice, which was to go into the medical track, I would have been miserable and risk the possibility of loosing interest and not finishing college. My goal is to finish Law school and go on to open my own firm, or at least join a well known firm. As far as concerns, I have concerns about being able to find a job in my field because of increase of the amount of people becoming attorneys. So competition will be high in the profession.

Our Professors Train Us for Success – I'm in the college of health and public affairs at the University of Central Florida and I'm very satisfied with my education up to this point. In this college I have chosen to be a Legal Studies major, and my aspiration is to go onto Law school after college and become an attorney. A lot of my professors have very successful law firms and if they aren't practicing through their own law firms, they have connections with many other attorneys who can provide internships opportunities for students. The curriculum is held to a high standard in hope that the students of the University of Central Florida will be just as good as any other student from another institution of learning. Although the learning experience is by far the greatest I have ever experienced, the tuition has been hiked up many times and it becomes very difficult to meet the tuition especially with one parent working and the other out of work due to the bad economy.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
