Atmosphere of Orlando – Orlando's perks include it's variety of theme parks and attractions of that nature which include Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. I'm not a big fan of the sports teams here mainly because I am not a fan of the Orlando Magic, however, they are a pretty good team with avid fans. The Florida mall is vast and includes a wide variety of stores from high-end to bargain and outlet and is a great touristy spot. There are plenty of outlet malls here which are nice for the bargain hunters out there. The negative aspects of Orlando are that it is a landlocked city, there isn't that much cultural diversity, and it's extremely spread out.

I am very happy with the major I chose at the University. As a freshman I was not sure exactly what I wanted to do. Once I chose my major I have enjoyed the challenging classes. I have always gravitated towards math and now I am surrounded by it. With Electrical Engineering their are so many options which is the key to a career. I think that is the most important to me which is why I chose the major. I don't have any concerns about finding a job once I graduate. In the future I would like to work for Certon Inc which is a company near Melbourne Fl.

UCF has a very demanding and challenging Engineering program. In my opinion it prepares students very well for the future. As you may know Engineering requires a great amount of concentration on Mathematics; Calculus 1,2,and 3, phyics and other analytical courses.Students may not at first understand the importance of these courses at first but I feel as though these course mold your thinking habits. Engineers must be able to think methodically, step by step, working with their foundation and then beginning to build. Each real life problem is different but what we are taught is to use what you have learned an apply it to everything

The local atmosphere is very entertaining at the University of Central Florida. Not only does the school offer daily events on campus but off campus is another type of fun. Generally the places to go would be the theme parks; Disney, Sea World, Wet N Wild, however there are other places that are also just as fun and sought out. There is Ripleys Believe it or not as well as the new Dave and Busters that has recently opened. If you want to have fun International Drive (I-drive) is the place to go to be surrounded by food, fun and friends.

I haven't had an internship. I plan on having one because I need to pay for school and the school is cutting my funding!

The course standard is very low. Students need to try hard to fail. Special study option is not there.

The cost of rent is kind of high. The weather is terribly hot!

Master's in Social Work – For getting into the graduate program was quite challenging the waiting process took awhile.I have challenges in my internship the hands on experience. The important aspect is 3.0 G.P.A ,good resume and three reference letters. Remember you can't get lower then a b- in this program. No the application process isn't abnormal. Make sure you try to get in real early.

Not Sure – I am actually not 100% sure yet because I am going to start my major classes this semester. I just finished my gen ed classes.

The campus is beautiful. But all the professors are not exactly great. Registration process is very good. Workload is very unequal..the same class with different professors have very unequal load of work, but that is with every university. SA sessions are veryy helpful.

The atmosphere around UCF is great. It is a very busy area. But there are many great options of student housings. There is Waterford mall which has everything available needed. Many great activities as well including Disney, mini golfing.

There is plenty to do around the UCF campus. Whether you want to eat out or find somewhere to shop, Orlando has it all. It is definitely a perfect city for a college student.

Biomed Programm – I hope to become a licensed optometrist. I'm not concerned finding a job as much as setting up my own place of business. I'm excited to learn.

Biomed Major – Biomedical science majors (microbiology and molecular biology majors) are one of the top challenging majors at UCF. We are considered to be the people that will "have no life for the next 13 years" due to such an extremely heavy work load and rigorous courses. Job opportunities are high, since the medical field's opportunities are sky rocketing.

Oviedo/Orlando Area – The atmosphere is a really positive one with many things to do. Right by UCF, there is Waterford Lakes Mall filled with stores of all kinds, clubs for 18+, not to mention all the included utilities on campus such as the Health and Wellness Center, book stores, an arena for concerts and all other gatherings, and much more.

An unbelievable campus. One of the biggest universities in the nation, so there are a lot of people living in the area. Downtown Orlando is about 20 minutes away, and all the theme parks and attractions are about a half hour away.

Challenging, but Worth It – Many professors are extremely willing to help, and in your earlier classes, you have the choice of taking them online, which is very convenient. The accounting courses get pretty hard, but you learn a lot and will be fairly well prepared for the real world. The business classes (general ones) are kind of joke, but if you actually want to learn, the professors are there to teach you more than what you'd learn in class and they will tell you about their real-world experiences.

School of Business Is Decent – I originally majored in Accounting. You have to understand that your education is what you make of it. I learned a lot because I studied hard and talked to professors. If you put the time and effort it, you will be rewarded. The job opportunities are GREAT in Central Florida for business majors.

Lots to Do, Lots of Fun!!! Orlando is a huge area with tons to do. Between all the parks (Disney, Universal, Dinner shows, Wonder Works, etc.), nightlife downtown, college nightlife around campus, food selection on I-Drive, shopping options, paintball parks, Hard Knocks laser tag, and so much more, you'll never be bored or run out of things to do. The local attitude towards students is good, but some people can be mean I guess, and there is a bit of crime if you live in the housing that is right off campus. I would recommend renting a house instead, or living on campus. The UCF football games are a ton of fun, and tailgating is a great time. I highly recommend the UCF area and UCF as a school as there is always something to do.

Very Happy With My Program! I am currently an undergraduate student studying aerospace engineering. The professors definitely know their information and are willing to help. I don't really know what my career goals are right now and I have little to some concern about finding a job in my field.

Since UCF is the second largest university in the nation, there are many majors that are offered to the students. If an incoming freshmen is undecided on what to study, UCF is almost guaranteed to have the major the student will be looking for once the student decides on what to major in.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
