From Point a to Point Z – We have on campus shuttles that take us up to five miles out to different living areas. It is really convenient and best of all FREE! The buses pick up all around the campus and is typically on time. I enjoy this service very much.

Come Alive in the Night Time – Here at UCF, the nightlife is pretty cool. There convenience in drinks, location, price, etc. Several people always show up to ensure a good time and the music always has me and my friends moving.

Alcohol Is Common – The drug scene at UCF is not that bad at all, it just depends on who you're with. Most of the students drink alcohol, it's definitely more common than drugs.

Apartments Are Great! Apartments are actually pretty negotiable, they have many deals such as early move in specials. Plus most of them around UCF have a shuttle to take you to school and back, which comes in handy when garages on campus are full!

Team Work in and Out of the Locker Room – The athletics at my school are very vibrant. Students always come out to support our teams and the atmosphere is always beautiful. Most involvement occurs on the tailgating end but just seeing all those faces reinforce the support our students have for our Athletics.

Academic Requirements to Socalize – The university is very strict on academics, certain GPA requirements must be meet in order to participate in Greek life and in athletic events.

The campus is a dry campus, so drinking is only allowed during tail gating and in established bars. They are very strict on under age drinking.

Guys & Girls:
There are plenty of attractive people from both genders, as well as a very diverse population. All interests, races, and personality types possible are covered.

Health & Safety:
There is an abundant amount of resources available for maintaining good health and well being. The campus is quite safe and I never feel at risk, however there is an occasional theft or burglary that occurs which is expected due to the fact that there is 50,000+ students that attend the University.

There are several bus routes that reaches the surrounding area to provide students with a way to get to school!

I find the process to receive financial to be extremely flawed. I am for all intents and purposes independent from my parents finances, yet I am forced to include and am hindered by their financial situation on documents.

UCF has excellent facilities. Whether it be the Recreation and Wellness center, or the Student Union. Both exceed my standards for what a university should provide to their students.

Most of the computers available to students on campus are readily available and capable of most operations that a typical student needs. There is sometimes a small wait list to access them though.

Even though I've been living here for 5 days, the overall experience has been great. The people are outgoing and are always wanting to do something.

Off-Campus Living – Living off-campus is definitely on-campus. There is the ability of doing more things in a more open environment. The cost can be a little high since most of the apartments are trying to make money off the students.

Living on Campus – I live off campus but I know some people who lived in dorms and disliked the small rooms and amenities there.

The UCF Recreation and Wellness Center is a phenomenon of its own. With a rock climbing wall, basketball courts, an indoor track, and group exercise rooms, anyone can workout. If you don't necessarily like "pumping iron," try out cardio kickboxing or yoga. There is so much to choose from. The library is huge! It is a great place to have study groups or research papers. A famous campus activity is the "Spirit Splash" during homecoming week. There is something someone can do at all times. The campus in general is mostly brick with many trees around it. UCF is a huge circle, so if a person gets lost, it's not the end of the world.

"Uknight" in Orlando – The University of Central Florida is located in an area where everyone can find their niche. If one is interested in sports and fitness, UCF has a state-of-the-art recreation center and also provides intramural sports. The arena for the Orlando Magic is not far away, so when the NBA season starts, die-hard Magic fans can go support their team without using all of their gas tank. For attractions, the Student Government Association provides discounted tickets for enrolled students to places such as Islands of Adventure, Universal, and even for movie theaters. There are so many clubs one is able to join on campus. The atmosphere at UCF is friendly and everyone has school spirit.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My! I do not think it matters which high school you came from, once you become a UCF Knight, even if you were not into sports before, everyone seems to be involved in showing spirit. Our recreation center is amazing. I would give this an A+ if they had a swim team. It is the only thing missing.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow – Uiversity of Central Florida is a melting pot. They have a wide variety of ages, races, and sexual orientation. One of the things I love the most about UCF is their wide selection of clubs. Even though my sexual orientation is straight, my younger brother is gay and I was able to join Equal for UCF to support gay rights and be able to hear and fight for things my brother will go through in the future.

There's No Place Like Home – The dorm is an experience that every person should experience; however, it is not the best choice for everyone. I like privacy and hot baths once in a while. You share a room (me, in particular with a messy person) and a shower with no tub. You may have a roommate who likes to come in at 3:00 a.m. while you are getting your beauty sleep for an 8:00 a.m. class. While I am glad I experienced it, I am enjoying my apartment across from campus with my private room and opportunity for a hot bath much more!
