Education Program – I love the Education program at UCF. Faculty as well as other students are very willing to help with questions.

UCF's Orlando campus is located near many attractions and night life. Other regional UCF campuses are located in Cocoa FL and Daytona FL. Both of these campuses are easily accessible and great for students not living on campus, but the campus "atmopshere" resides in Orlando.

Internships are available for students who are willing to apply for them. Internships are not just handed out, but those who want one can obtain one.

Very Helpful – i have only attended the University of Central Florida for 6 weeks, but from what i see there are many aids, internships and a very well and organized curriculum.

There are too few classes for the amount of students who need to take the course.

This school has anything and everything at a resonable distance plus the people in the area and in the school are so polite and kind. Coming from Miami,Florida i was not used to this type of natural hospatality. I love my school.

Great Psychology Program – All of the professors I've had for my psychology classes have been excellent. They are truly passionate about the subject and are willing to work one on one with students to help them succeed.

Never a Dull Moment in Orlando – There's always something to do in Orlando when you have a break from school, whether it's the many nearby theme parks, the great restaurants in the city, or the downtown nightlife.

Getting into my Microbiology major is extremely easy. Since it is one of the largest majors at UCF, it may be difficult to get into the lower general education classes, but if the students keeps his/her GPA up, then he/she can register for two semesters at a time.

Research Experience – In my field it is very important to gain research experience before going on to graduate school. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get a spot within a research lab at UCF. Once one does get a spot, however, the knowledge is very exceptional.

Work Hard, and Be Rewarded! The programs at UCF are numerous, however many are limited. Health care programs offer a challenge to get in to, but encourages students to work hard and stay about the norm in academics and extra curricular activities. Get your GPA high and keep it high and make sure you have a passion for what your program is, that way the challenge is difficult, but worth the struggle.

Night Life – The local atmosphere around the school is predominately focused around the night life. It is more common for the students to get together during the nights and going to bars, clubs, or movies. There are a group of clubs/bars right next to the school as well as a very large number in the downtown area.

An Enviroment Centered on Learning! University of Central Florida is one of the fastest growing universities in the country, but not just by its student population. Its constantly adding more programs, better facilities, more professors to accomadate the large population of the school. Advisors are willing to help each and every one depending on their degree and make registration easy and fun. Want to study abroad or meet people through a group or club on campus? UCF offers many programs overseas as well as many special interest groups that are on campus. There is room for anyone to succeed at UCF, with tons and majors and great location, it would be hard to deny that UCF wasnt made just for you!

University in Orlando, There Is Nothing Better! Orlando is a large, fast pace city with just a variety of things going on any given night. Downtown has the night life, Winter Park has the historic, upper class side, just around UCF is a spiritied college town with great shopping and dining in aclose proximity. The greatest sports team of Orlando, other than the Knights? The Orlando Magic, definitely sense some pride throughout Orlando for our basketball team. Just an hour from the beach and close to other schools to go to football games and cheer on your team. Concerts are always available around Orlando at its many venues such as the House of Blues or the Hard Rock. Orlando offers a great atmosphere to learn, live, and is a city to fall in love with!

The criminal justice department could use some work. There aren't many internships available and not very much interactive learning. The workload is probably similar to any other major, but the curriculum can be dense and repetitive. In my classes so far there hasn't been any interactive learning, so its mainly a lot of memorizing.

The university has an overall decent atmosphere. There isn't much natural beauty in the area, but there are many theme parks, malls, and so on. The school has many events that pertain to the students' interests, such as concerts, stand up comedy events, bar events and competitions, and so on.

Sense of Community – Since I attend a regional campus many of the students are on the same track to graduate and there are not very many of us. This allows us to get to know each other better and to learn to work better as future co-workers and friends. The workload is intense, as I mentioned before, but because of the friendliness of students we all usually work well together in helping each other out. I really enjoy my program and all the students in it. Due to the relatively small number of current students, this allows for each of us to better receive help and support from our professors which is also nice. All these things help us students establish our own sense of a community within our program of study.

I am fortunate enough that I do not have to commute to the main campus in Orlando. My entire program, Elementary Education, is offered at this regional campus. While the work load is rather intense, the grading is fair and the overall subject matter and quality of the curriculum is excellent. The teachers are willing to work one-on-one with students and are usually always available for questions, comments, or concerns from students. All the courses offered for my program are offered in the same building, which also makes this convenient for students.

Interdisciplinary Studies – I love my major. While it was a hassle to figure out what I wanted to do and HOW to do it, the advisers for IS are AMAZING and have helped a lot with any and all questions I've had along the way. The program can be tailored to what you want to do when you graduate- I want to do Scientific/Technical Illustration so my areas are Art, Technical Communication, and Environmental Studies. It's a great program, and while some of the classes are a bit unnecessary (as with most degrees), I am able to pick and choose more than some other more rigid disciplines.

Cocoa, FL – I attend a regional campus for the University of Central Florida. The area in which this campus is located is considered an low-socioeconomic area. There is a high number of violence and drugs. One of the elementary schools in this city is considered the poorest school in the county. Over 90% of the students are on free and reduced lunch. There is a Walmart, Publix, Little Ceasers and other small diners. There are not many attractions in this area, unless a bar is considered an attraction. The safety is extremely poor. At the college campus, however, there is a brighter, safer, and overall more positive atmosphere because the people who attend this campus are trying to better themselves by going to school and getting some sort of a degree.

The Area – The area around the school is in rapid growth with lots of new apartments going up that are very expensive compared to the apartments that have been around for awhile. The shuttles for the school that go to many local apartments are a great way to travel. There are a lot of wooded areas around and even some decent parks though you never get the feeling of being out of the city.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
