but when I do everything is nice. The life outside of UCF is very bright. Local establishments frequently cater to students, and the night life is awesome.

Health & Safety:
It's on Point – I'm currently enlisted in the BAS program so I visit the Valencia Campus along with the UCF Campus. Both Campuses are well secured. I never feel afraid. It's a pleasurable experience.

There are several options for nightlife including clubs, restaurants, school functions, and even what we call "Knightlife".

UCF is very diverse in its ethnic backgrounds, international students and diversity classes, such as culture-based classes.

It's Okay – The school is pretty cool. I just HATE the size of it. I don't like being in 300 person lecture halls where you can have the same teacher for 5 different classes, and they have no idea who you are. I wish it could have been easier to find friends, but I feel like a lot of people stick with the people they've known from their hometowns. There are a lot of opportunities to join different intramural teams and there are a lot of places to go. UCF tries to have a lot of fun events on campus- mostly in the fall. The football games are pretty fun, but we don't have long standing rivals or anything like more historic schools do. If you find your niche, you'll love it here. It's just really expensive and too big for me.

Sooo Many Options – There are tons of places to eat on campus. There are a lot of cute, non-affiliated places on campus near the towers/arena and in the Student Union. Plus, there are a lot of places all around the campus; I mean, it is Orlando. Jimmy John's is definitely a favorite. They're really really good and will deliver until 3 am. A lot of food places around will also deliver on campus. Restaurants are constantly pushing coupons at you, so I would keep them in a little box for whenever you want to go out. Kyoto is really good too. The dining halls are okay. They try to make sure that you have a lot of variety- whether it be junk, home style meals, or something a little more exotic. You'll always be able to find something that you like.

It's a Lot Better Than on-Campus – Living off campus is MUCH better than living on campus if you're funding your college experience on your own. On campus housing is extremely expensive for the small amount of space you're given. Plus, it takes about an hour to park on campus during the day, so if you have to pick up groceries, don't count on getting home very quickly. The school has affiliated off campus housing, but I would take a tour of it first. Some of the apartments are dirty and ghetto. The best thing to do is look around and tour the apartment before signing anything. My roommates and I got sick of paying way too much money for small space and stubborn landlords, so we were able to find a rental house in a gated community with a ton of space for about $300 a month each. For your first year, I would suggest living on campus just to meet people, but after that, definitely try to find a rental house. There are a lot within 10 miles of campus that are very nice.

A Great Experience – I love University of Central Florida. It is such a beautiful campus filled with so many different people. Many activities, you can't ever be bored. A perfect college experience.

Could Be More Helpful – The nursing program at UCF seems very inaccessible. In other words, professors and advisers make it difficult to receive the information necessary to succeed. I've had to really search and be persistent to receive answers.Besides that it is a growing program taught in a beautiful campus.

Walking around campus I see many different faces in terms of ethnicity. Black, white, Hispanics, Asians all working together to create a fun and safe campus perfect for learning.

Walking Is the Way to Go! Walking is the easiest way to get to class on time. There are many parking garages on campus but between 9-12 it is very hard to find a decent parking spot. So if you can walk there, DO IT!

Getting Better – Currently one of the main dining halls is under construction. It has been inconvienate at time but I know in the Fall it will be awesome, and the B- will go to an A+!

Attractions & Beyond! The University of Central Florida is located in Orlando,Fl. The school is only 30 minutes away from Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando. There is always something to do in Orlando . Even downtown Orlando is a lot of fun. The downtown area has tons of restaurants and shops and parking is not a problem. UCF is definitely the right choice for me in regards to local atmosphere.

Our athletic gym is amazing, and provides plenty of machine options, as well as free weights.

Athletics at UCF is considerably important, however I do notice many athletes b/c they don't wear jerseys and such.

That statement will be thrown around alot during your time here at UCF and boy does it apply. Every student at UCF has the opportunity to succeed, have fun, make friends, and achieve success if they strive for it. The possibilities here at UCF are endless.
College Senior 2011-07-20T16:11:31Z
Greek Life is at UCF but mostly they attend the nearby clubs and bars without many house parties. You don't need to join a frat to have fun here at UCF but it helps I suppose.
College Senior 2011-07-20T16:10:27Z
Every club surrounding the UCF campus is 18 and up and have great drink specials throughout the week and weekend. Also UCF provides Knight-lynx a late night bus service that picks up students on-campus and at off-campus appartments and gives rides to all surrounding bars and clubs.

Just Dont Do Anything Stupid – they people in charge are usually pretty lenient about most things. when you get caught, just be respectful and youll be fine. just do not smoke marijuana on campus. you will lose your housing.

Guys & Girls:
Easy to Meet People – there are always events going on and its really easy to meet people. generally, all of the students like meeting new people and it is very easy to get along with the population.

I received a decent amount of financial aid during my first year. But my experience with Financial aid was a pain and time consuming. My money was held due to 'to do's' needed to complete my financial aid verification.
1.complete all your 'to do's' in a timely manner
2.view your account and fees

Parking is expanding which makes parking on campus more convenient. Last year, there was a lack of parking spaces, but recently a new parking Garage has been built on campus. There are consequences that are in effect if you are in the wrong parking spot or without a decal.

Students at UCF are very aware of the effects drugs and alcohol can have on users. A requirement for 1st year students is to take the mandatory online drug and alcohol class and test. Drinking is not permitted to underage students and is usually done in safe environments, as far as I know.
