There are at least ten computers on each floor of the library. The second floor has about thirty, o it's very easy to find one if you really need it.

Permit cost are alright but could be better. Parking spaces are very limited which often lead to students fighting for spaces right before class. AS far as distance its deffinately a plus to have a car on campus but if you cant get a bike! because parking is limited!

The weather is mostly sunny!! And sometimes too hot. Rainy days will come and it will rain every afternoon for like a week. It's typical Florida weather.

Guys & Girls:
There isn't a set look or way of acting at UCF. The school is so large that anyone can find a place to fit in.

The off-campus selection surrounding UCF is actually quite abundant. In fact, a lot of students live off-campus. Some pros are that most of the apartments are within five minutes from campus and are student affiliated. This means that they rent four bedroom apartments fully furnished with washer/dryer, cable and internet etc and they charge a set price, i.e. 550-730 a month. Another upside is that each person living in the apartment has their own lease. These apartments also a shuttle that takes students to campus. It runs all day, every fifteen minutes or so.
There are also apartments and houses that students can rent on their own that are not student affiliated. The prices on those usually range anywhere from 480 for a one bedroom to 700 for a two-three bedroom. It really depends. Those are usually about ten minutes away, but there are a few that are closer.
Some downsides to student affiliated apartments are: some of them have resident assistants. It's not strict at all, but if one is looking to move away from that then it's a little bothersome. The biggest downside is that crime occurs more to the apartments directly off of Alafaya road. This is the main road by UCF. However, you can check with your local police department and verify your apartment of choice before renting a place.

Health & Safety:
Safe at Home – I feel extremely safe on the UCF campus. The Police are always seen around campus, and they are always available either through hotlines or in the UCF police department. They are constantly sending e-mails telling students about the weather or incidents that happen on campus to keep us aware. UCF also has a transportation service that takes students around campus after dark.

Academic Progress – UCF's academic program is great. You can find anything at this campus, the professors that I have had have been great and are always available. i have heard some horror stories but not every school is perfect. The curriculum and workload depends on each professor but they are all up to par. Registering for classes is a dog eat dog process it is a race to see who can get the class and sometimes you cannot get what you want if you register too late or if it is a popular course.

I feel as though UCF is a melting pot, there are so many diversities. Ucf offers many activities and clubs for any culture on campus. As i walk to class I am always seeing new faces. UCF is very accepting to all races and beliefs. People at Ucf are very open about their beliefs, but at the same time respectful of others. You cannot tell the difference in the economic viewpoint, everyone blends in together we are all treated equally, and money is not something that is paid much attention to.

The facilities at UCF are great! The gym is huge and you are almost guarenteed to get on the machine that you wish to use right away. They have a number of different courts, and weight machines. The student union is great with its variety of different fast food options. The library is massive, and a great place to study.

UCF is in a great location. Orlando is an amazing location for entertainment. It is centrally located near a number of different malls, downtown Orlando, and the famous amusement parks.

I love where I go to school. UCF is in a great, central location of Orlando, and the school is attractive, clean, and a positive learning environment. I love the amenities that are offered to me as a student, including the library and gym.

Although I do not have a meal plan, I have frequented student dining once, and it was an okay experience. Granted it was really late at night, so I understand the lack of diversity in food. In the Union, I feel that there is a good variety of places to choose from for food.
College Senior 2011-07-19T06:53:00Z
The police are very concerned about controlling the roads, but I barely see them around campus. I wish that I felt safer to walk around the campus at night time.

This is the one major down fall of this institution. The parking decals are extremely over priced and over sold. The parking services have become so money hungry that they often are quick to sell a deca, knowing that the particular garage or lot is at maximum capacity. And the towers community decal alone cost $475. Game days are a nightmare they kick all cars out of the lots leaving them with no place to park other than in off campus community which is extremely inconveniant.

GO GREEK! The Greek Life here at UCF is amazing. The greek community is so united and tight knit. The are over 60 plus organizations to join ranging from business frats to NPHC to PAN to DGC. It's a great experience to endure and will create lasting memories and friendships for years to come.

Remarkably Conveniant – UCF offers top of the line student housing and by far surpasses housing options of any other florida university/college. The rooms are kept clean, pest-free, and maintain by their cleaning services. Multiple dorms offer full kitches in the units, AC, and co-ed floors. The conveniace of the dorm locations places you near thhe heart of the campus, the student union.

Non-Meal Plan Options – Dining options include centrally located restaurants, such as Chick-fil-A, Jimmy Johns, Burger King, Subway, Asian Chao, and Einstein Bagels. There is plenty of variety. For snack breaks, there is a multitude of vending machines present throughout the campus providing food and drinks.

Late Knights !!! Late Knights is like an after dark fair on campus. They have games, rock climbing, raffles, etc. Plus, they're always giving out free stuff!!!

Buses Are Best – The public transportation and on-campus transportation is pretty reliable. There are three city buses that come on campus, all leaving & going different directions. The on-campus shuttle runs in opposite directions & come about every 15 minutes. Its really convenient, especially if you have to go to the opposite side of campus. There are also housing shuttle buses that take you to off-campus housing. Makes not having a car too bad. Plus, it's FREE!!!
