Health & Safety:
Very Safe – I have not been on campus much since I do not start the program until August but the times that I have been there I have felt very safe. I also have not heard of many incidents from students I met who already attend.

Its Alright – I have been informed a lot about getting financial aid done and so on however, it is a lot more difficult that it seems.

In the summer parking is not bad at all, you will be able to find parking just about everywhere, minus the small lots. But in fall I have heard that it is a nightmare and you need to leave way ahead of time in order to find a parking spot and make it to class on time.

Greeks Don't Rule the School – Not that I have much experience with Greek life whatsoever, but I have heard that it allows you to meet a lot of new people and have a lot of fun. However, it is quite expensive and not everyone can afford it. Therefore, if you cannot it is okay because if you are not in a sorority or fraternity it does not matter, no one will look at you differently.

The best way to get financial aid is to turn in the forms early because first come, first serve. Also, the best way to get the information you need is to schedule an appointment.

Social Dorms – The dorms at University of Central Florida are nicer and bigger than most dorms I've seen at other colleges in Florida. There are many floor meetings and activities that gives the students to get involved and meet other people in their dorm.

Safe Fun Environemnt – The University of Central Florida is located in a great environment. There are many restaurants just minutes away from campus. Also, the nightlife is great because there are bars across the street from campus which makes it easy to hang out with friends and meet new people. On weekends or days with no classes there great outlet malls nearby but also theme parks such as Universal Studios and Disney are less than an hour away. The University of Central Florida provides a safe environment for all students including buses that run late on the weekends that students can use.

The only way you will run into drug users is if you actively search them out.

Guys & Girls:
UCF has every kind of student there could be. The girls are absolutely gorgeous and nice.

There are many neighborhoods around campus that are located within biking distance. These communities also have nice, new houses that are affordable for students. The school is surrounded by malls, shopping centers, and restaurants that are made for students.

The athletic centers are versatile and convenient. I don't have to drive to the gym everyday. I just walk or ride my bike. The student union is center of the school and I can find any part of the school by stopping by the heart of the campus. I love the library, perfect for studying.

Wonderful Techonology – I have no complaints with the usage of the computers, printing, or network speed. There are plenty of computers around campus to borrow or buy.

Unable to Comment – Fortunately I haven't had trouble or seen any trouble where the campus would step in.

Energizing Sports Team – I was never really interested in sports but since attending UCF I haven't missed any home football or basketball game.

Math Lab – At first I thought the math lab was a bad idea. Now I believe it is there to help with at least three tutors always available. You can also grab help from the people around you and it is also a nice quiet area to do your work.

UCF is very interesting in the sense that it's one huge circle and you can never get lost. Around it, there are locations for EVERYTHING you need. It's also the second largest university in terms of population. Also, Orlando is a nice place to be.

Sun and Rain – Plenty of sun but also thunderstorms in the afternoon.

I always thought that the slogan was a little corny...but it is true. If I could do it all over again, I would've started at UCF and stayed. I love the area, atmosphere, programs, professors, and opportunities that this school provides.

Need More Space – I prefer to take my classes online. Parking is horrible. Unless you live on preferred off-campus housing, finding a place to park could take hours.

Military Spouse – I am pursuing my second degree with the University of Central Florida, and I am very pleased with my decision. The majority of the professors are very helpful with providing resources for employment, research, and personal educational matters. I believe that the experience will change my life and assist me with being the best educator possible.

Orlando-Theme Park Heaven – Orlando is a very touristy city so there is lots of cheasy stuff to do. Theme park tickets and attractions are very discounted.
Winterpark is a swanky border town that has a nice farmers' market, parks, and nicer restaurants.
There's a mix of the big city and little town atmospheres.
It would be nicer if Orlando was a bigger more youthful city and was easier to navigate by foot.
College Junior 2011-07-18T06:49:22Z
Off Campus Frats – Practically all of the frats are off campus but they aren't very far. They are near or in the school associated apartment complexes.
Almost all of the sororities have houses that are nice and on campus.
College Junior 2011-07-18T06:47:14Z
Good but You Need Transportation – There are frat parties and many clubs but the vast majority of frats are off campus-bike riding distance but you shouldn't ride at night. There are also a lot of clubs but you need to drive or ride the bus to get there.
The school offers late night bus services for off campus and nightly golf cart services for on campus transportation.
College Senior 2011-07-18T03:07:52Z
Everyone's Welcome – UCF is a huge school, and because there are so many students it is easy to find someone you can relate to. Plenty of multicultural students and most students are very accepting.

Dine Away! There are plenty of places to eat off campus! Some offer a student discount. There is plenty of variety and all of it is very close. Victorio's has the best pizza, and Waterford Lakes has plenty of options, and Sweet! is a must-visit!
Sorry, there are no reviews.
