There Are So Many Computer Labs on Campus, Theres Never a Time When One Is Too Packed. Like I said, there are about 20+ computer labs and places where you can rent out laptops, it is so easy to get around campus if you don't have a computer, you can step foot into pretty much any building on campus, and you are sure to find an open computer. :)

So Much to Do in Orlando – Orlando is such a diverse city, with truly an infinite number of activities to do. From going to one of the many theme parks, outlet malls and attractions in the area, to hanging out around UCF in the bars and clubs--There is ALWAYS something going on, its great.

Popular Study Areas – On top of the plethora of great areas to study, UCF just created a 24 hour study union that is located in the arena. I've been there a few times and it is awesome! There are many computers, study rooms that you can rent for free and it is very quiet. It is truly a study haven.

OFF- CAMPUS DINNING – Their is an array of different food options from vegetarian to fast food, what ever your heart desires, it is in close proximity of the main campus. That's one of the best aspects to the school, if you weren't impressed with the on-campus food, you could travel 5 minutes up the road, and get exactly what you wanted.

Criminal Justice Carreers – Im in the college of Health and Public Affairs at UCF. Im a Criminal Justice major with a minor in Sociology. As of yet, the workload has been some what time consuming, but i'm able to find the time to sufficiently complete it, as well as maintain a steady part-time job. The part i like the most is the personal level one can maintain with the professors so if one needs a recommendation of any sort, most of the time it's easy to apprehend. And as a side note, it's a well acknowledged degree to have as well.

It can get really hot out there as well as very rainy, but everything is not too far apart so you should be okay.

I came to UCF because my sister is currently enrolled here. So far the school is just as exciting and as inviting as she made out. Some of the classes are small and some are very big, but it is a university so that is what you would expect. The thing is you have to come out of your shell and talk to people especially professors and make new friends. It will really help you when it comes to studying.

Professors and Advisers Are Very Helpful – I have only attended basic classes for my particular major but so far I am impressed and motivated to continue on. The professors and teaching assistants are great and providing us with information and advice. The advisers for the department are very helpful.

UCF parking is a complete nightmare. I have known people to prowl campus for an hour desperately searching for a parking spot that their decal allows. Parking spaces in garages depend on what day of the week and what time of day it is. I have known people to leave their cars on campus for weeks at a time because they don't want to give up their spot. If you do park in a forbidden spot you will immediately be ticketed.

Dining Halls – At UCF, we have 2 dining halls-Marketplace and Knightro's. Both are extremely diverse in their food options. Vegan/vegetarian meals are offered, as well as kosher food and all nutritional information is provided. While pricey, these meal plans are pretty good. I wouldn't recommend buying an expensive meal plan after your freshmen year, it would save lots of money. The Student Union also offers restaurants and fast food places that you can use your Knight's Cash at.

I came to UCF thinking that college was going to be the toughest thing ever. I think the professors at UCF take a very realistic approach to coursework. They assign things that are pertinent to our education and go above and beyond to make sure that the short time we are in our class is to our benefit and the school's. I have found my workload to be just right-not too much, but not too easy, either.

Most of the classes I've taken at UCF were taught by knowledgeable professors who seem to be passionate about the subject they're teaching. No work load has been unbearable for me, yet. As long as you apply yourself and stay motivated you will not have a problem keeping up with classes at this university. One of the greatest things about UCF is the amount of academic help that is available to you. There are all sorts of tutoring groups available for certain subjects in certain buildings. The advisers, especially freshmen year, are extremely informative. There always seems to be someone willing to listen to your problems and help you solve them at UCF.

We are in the top 25 nationwide engineering universities. Professors are very willing to spend extra time to assist you since engineering is incredibly difficult. Great program.

UCF offers a Rosen College of Hospitality down near the Disney and Universal theme parks. My minor is Hospitality Management, so I find this to be a great opportunity. The location is great for hospitality and connection building with professionals.

I am not fully aware of the strictness of policies enforced at the University of Central Florida. Thankfully, I have never had any academic or behavior problems where I would have to face consequences.

I came to UCF for the location and the great education program they have. It is rather rigorous and costly due to the constant state testing I have to take, however, I have high hopes that it will all pay off in the end. The professors are great and play a great mentor in my educational career. We are often required to complete service-learning hours in the classrooms. This experience helps us apply the philosophies and information we have learned. I absolutely love this university and I have no regrets making this my home!

Drugs Not the Focus – There isn't all that too clear of evidence that any drug scenes go on around campus. The most you see first hand is people smoking outside. There is a NORML marajuana club, but they aren't too outgoing. The campus is very clean, however, so it's not like the place is litered with beer bottles or anything.

UCF has alot of soroity and fraternity housing units on campus, and they're never afraid to show their pride. You don't need to be a member to one of them to see how much fun they have with their Greek life. They constantly hold events and booths on campus, and are friendly to all who come out to see what they're like.

The Professor Cares About the Students Who Try – I am going down the path of an Environmental Engineer, and the course requirements are no cake walk. But, the professors of the engineering classes are more than eager to help you learn. Show them that you want to understand their curriculum, and they will bend over backwards for you. My professors have allowed me to visit them in their offices for one-on-one sessions, and have given great attention to my progress, especially on my exam results.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
