Off campus housing is great! it can be a bit pricey, but its worth it. parking is good too, always a nice spot near your building, and 24/7 security throughout.

There are a lot of popular places on campus, like Chik-Fil-A, Dominoe's, Starbucks. There are also plenty of exclusive, local dining option's, and they offer two dining cafeterias with a variety of options.

There are quite a few things to do around this area, including Universal Studios, a lot of events downtown, and the spirit of the school webs out even a couple miles away from the campus.

The academics at the school are very strong and there are many choices. Ultimate Frisbee is a big thing here.

This school is very helpful and informative when it comes to financial aid. If I ever had and questions or concerns, I went straight to the financial aid office and was reassured immediately. I've never had an issue with the school's financial aid process. They also offer a ton of opportunities and information on receiving different types of financial aid.

Over the two years I have been at this school, I notice a huge improvement in the support and advertisement of the sports offered at the school. It is still a fairly new school, so the opportunities for advancement are endless, but I can still say THIS SCHOOL HAS SPIRIT!

Guys & Girls:
The students I have crossed path with at this school are all amazing! Everyone is fun, lively, considerate, and determined. There is such a wide variety of people on campus - it would be hard not to make friends, even if you're extremely shy! I could spend hours people-watching on campus just to see all the diverse cultures and mindsets intertwine.

There are not enough parking spots for the amount of students attending the school. It sometimes takes 45 minutes just to find someone who is leaving that I can follow to their car so you have a parking spot. It also takes me about 30 minutes just to get off the main campus road when I'm leaving school around 430.

UCF has amazing facilities! Aside from the Student Union and the Library, we have an awesome place to relax and unwind at Lake Claire. Lake Claire is a lake located right on campus. It is open for students for kayaking and just all around relaxing. It can be a very peaceful spot for studying and there are even sand volleyball courts for you and some friends to play on! This is just one example of the many student facilities we have here at UCF!

Orlando is a very strange city. You've got theme parks, suburbs and a bustling downtown that can make it the perfect mix of everything. It never really feels like a college town around here because of that. There is almost always something to do, and that's what makes Orlando, a prime location!

Guys & Girls:
The guys at UCF aren't bad, I usually don't look twice at most of them though. Most of the guys I've come in contact with are really into going to the gym and wear those muscle man t-shirts on the daily. I wish there were some more sharp dressed guys here but hey, a girl can dream...

I absolutely love the Living Learning communities at UCF. They allow freshmen with common majors, interests and ideas to live together in one housing community. I lived in the "Green House" in Libra, a community that focused on recycling and sustainability. All of the residents in this community shared my interests in helping the environment and the RAs even planned certain events that promoted sustainability, like planting trees and learning energy saving tips. With a school made up of 60,000 students, these Living Learning Communities really helped me not feel so alone.

They do not tolerate any cheating. One cannot 'accidentally' cheat by using even part of someone else's phrase online. they are very strict with cell phones in the attempt of cheating as well.

Financial aid has not helped me at all. My parents lost both of their houses and no one could help me get any sort of aid. The only thing they offered me is unsubsidized loans which I have to pay back with interest.

You don't typically see people outside of their major around campus socializing. In the college of education everyone dresses different and seems to be doing their own thing and going their own way.

The housing is mediocre. Many rooms are nice, but there are also others that constantly have problems with bug problems or heating/cooling systems.
College Sophomore 2013-09-13T19:16:53Z
The food is delicious. A new meal is served every day with tons of choices offered at every station. The only thing that brought this score down to a B- is that I feel that for the amount you are paying, there should be better service.

I am a Biomedical Sciences Major (Pre-Pro) with two minors. The advisors are awesome between Dr. Lopez and Maria Schwitz, all your questions are answered. The workload is not hard, just remember there are over 60 credits of high level science courses.
College Sophomore 2013-09-12T02:03:50Z
THERE ARE SO MANY CHOICES. THAI, MEXICAN, CUBAN, BBQ, ETC.

UCF is a top tier school in my opinion. There are so many courses to choose from, some of them surprise me( in fact I just found out there is Into to Golfing). All of my prof so far have been AWESOME. The workload is not overwhelming as long as you pay attention.

The computers have been updated this semester so they are all new. Computer Lab is ready and full of laptops. The wireless is quite speedy. I would suggest bringing a personal laptop to avoid the wait time after classes.

I love being a Psychology major at UCF. Psychology has its own building and own advising program so when you have questions pertaining to your degree audit (essentially a progress report) you can go directly to them. Every one of my teachers is either a licensed practitioner or has been in the field of work directly. They all offer a wealth of information as well. They are friendly and I truly feel as if I learn something every day.
College Junior 2013-09-11T01:33:02Z
Dining options at UCF are vast. They have a variety of foods that range from "All-American" to Mediterranean. The Student Union is where I see most students go because you can get food there without being on a meal plan. I don't have a meal plan but even if you did I'm sure you could get food at the Student Union also. The meal plans are expensive and I wouldn't recommend purchasing one if you aren't on campus all day, don't eat often and can't truly afford it, but I will say that having a meal plan allows for you to go to the Marketplace. The Marketplace is essentially a buffet of different foods (think Sweet Tomatoes), which is awesome. Food on campus is a little more expensive than you'd find on the road but if you stick with the Mexican food you can never go wrong; so much bang for your buck!
