As a student, it is somewhat hard to get the classes that you want, or need because of the amount of students enrolled. The program itself seems to be fairly good, however, many of the teachers are focused on the research aspect of their job, instead of the teaching aspect. UCF has knowledgeable teachers and a very good curriculum, as well as nice facilities. There are always opportunities for experiential learning.

There are NO bars! It's hard to get out and have fun without being 21 or having tons of money to pay for cover.

Love the Faculty and Staff – Every encounter with this campus from faculty to staff have been so helpful and extremely friendly.

They aren't very accepting of different cultures and they don't have very many traditions which is what's important to me when I think of greek life.

There is a good amount of diversity at UCF. My recent roommates were all ofdifferent races, one was African-American, another was Hispanic and the other was white.I think this is really good because it makes you interact with other people and have an open mind about different ideas.

I'm actually thinking about joining a sorority, they seem fun and although there are some fun parties, they are also involved in the community. I the Greek students are really viewed differently by non-Greeks, because the campus is very diverse.

The computers at UCF are actually really good. I love that they have a computer lab just to print things we need. The computers are also fast so it makes getting in and out of there quick and stress free. My only issue is the network, since I live on campus, the network will just go out randomly. Luckily there's no problem connecting it back.

Pretty normal dormitory living conditions. Nice location next to the gym and pool though.

It can be bad for commuter students and during events, but usually not bad.

It is a large school with a large population. Parking can get very frustrating but there are many lots and parking garages close to classroom buildings. It is hard to say there is any better option on parking. Leave for class early to make sure you have enough time to get to class and carpool or take shuttles if possible.

Something that UCF has that is very unique are the two all knight studies on campus. All Knight Study is a place you can go to on campus to study in a quite area, use computers and print if need be, and they also have study rooms with white boards and TVs with HDMI hook up. The best thing about these are they are open 24 hours.

I have not applied to the college of business yet, however, it does not seem too difficult. There is a set list of classes that a finance major needs to take. After all those classes are fulfilled with nothing less than a C you can apply. As long as one meets all requirements they should be admitted.

I have not had an internship but I plan to. Lockheed Martin has a paid internship of around $14 an hour. Its a huge name company that is great for business and engineer majors. It looks great on a resume and pays at the same time.

Im an electricsl engineering major, so the workload is oretty intense for me. Usually Im taking a few high credit-hour classes or many lower credit-hour.classes. UCF has a wide range of possible majors to choose from and provides an vast pool of resources to ensure that each student is successful within their major. UCF prepares each of its students very well regarding their career goals as well as preparing them to pursue jobs. One resource for all students is the opportunity to get help with bettering CVs/resumes, preparing for interviews, ect. These such resources are provided by UCF student academic services. UCF is a university where any student can succeed, regardless of their major.

Guys & Girls:
The girl and guy relationships are pretty abundant. That is, all students interact with each other so there isnt much of a sexist environment. There are students from all of the United States amd from other countries as well. There's plenty of diversity within the UCF population. Typical Students are bighly social, and as for how they dress, each student udually has their own style. So one wouldnt be surprised to see students wearing casual clothing, and then seeing a student wearing professional attire 5 seconds later. Some students even wear their clothing in weird fashions as to stand out from others.

Living on campus is very suitable for those who have an interest in always being an active and involved student. It allows them to have higher chances of being apart of the many activities put on by UCF. Some of the best options would include Libra, Lake Claire, and Towers at Knights Plaza housing. Respectively, the first two options are very affordable amd closer to the campus, so students can easily get to classes on time. Towers at Knights Plaza is a bit more expensive, but the apartment living style provided great space.
College Sophomore 2013-08-11T21:19:07Z
UCF computer labs are plentiful for all students. Each computed is aleays updated with the latest software to fit any student's needs regarding assignments for any subject. Wifi is always availablr around campus, so evem if a student has to resort to their personal computer, they always have internet access.

I personally live on campus at the Rosen Hospitality campus for UCF. It is the only school to major in not on the main campus location. Living here is convenient, there is a small gym on campus, bookstore, library within minutes of walking distance from the two apartment buildings on campus. The apartments have a small pool and barbecue area for students, a lounge on each floor for studying with tables, chairs and a tv for group gatherings. The apartments are furnished with the basic furniture necessary and a full kitchen for cooking. Each student has their own room and shares a bathroom with one other person. There is also housekeeping that comes once a week. The only downfall is that the apartments unlike the campus where the classrooms are, do not have wifi. There is wifi in the lounges themselves but not in the individual apartments

Greeks usually are the ones who throw many of the parties, that is, social activities created by students. They're also generally friendly towards non-Greeks and have no problem with i.geractinv with them. Non-Greeks view them as they view themselves considering the Greeks treat them indifferently.

Being in the heart of Orlando UCF is located next to every type of atmosphere possible. We have downtown to the suburbs and everything in between. We have all of the major theme parks and many big name malls and outlet stores. I have never felt unsafe any place I have visited while living here.

I am somewhat happy in my program. I am learning massive amounts of information that will ready me for this industry. However I am beginning to feel like I chose the wrong major and that is the only reason I feel I would do this differently if I had the choice.

There was no special items to complete to get into the Digital Media program. You simply declare your major and select the specific track you will be pursuing, Web Design or Game Design.

I have held one off campus internship. It was very laid back however I did not feel that I was adding to my learning experiences. I was paid per project finished, and had to work many long hours to do so. I do plan to hold another internship in the future to further my knowledge and experience.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
