Having you're own laptop is usually more convenient, but with the amount of computers that there are on campus, there shouldn't be a reason for missing assignment deadlines.

Horrible! The parking permits cost about 50 dollars per semester and you are designated to one parking lot. I might have to get a bike, considering the prices and the time it takes to actually find a parking spot.

Although, UCF has a larger campus compared to my previous State College, I have always felt safe knowing Campus Security is never too far away. This campus is also well lit.

Campus life at UCF is awesome. There are so many ways to get involved. UCF has some great sports teams. Not into sports? No problem! There are many other clubs and organizations for students. There are also many research and volunteer opportunities around campus, which are not only an outstanding career booster, but and excellent way to meet people. I'm feel very lucky to be a part of the UCF community.

UCF is a relatively new school (less than 100 years old) with many modern buildings and amenities. The insides of the buildings are very clean and well-kept making it very welcoming to students and visitors alike. UCF is a large school with a sprawling campus. The circular shape of the campus layout makes it easy to get to where you need to go, and also makes it less boring in that it is not based on a typical grid or square layout. In addition to the modern buildings and the creative campus layout, the UCF campus is adorned by beautiful native Florid plants. Walking to class sometimes feels like a walk through a botanical garden! Not only is UCF aesthetically pleasing, but the school also has many resources for students. These range from sports, volunteer opportunities, social organizations, student advising and counseling centers, and much more. In short, UCF is a fantastic school!

I feel very safe on campus. We have our own police station and they are constantly around campus. There are emergency stations everywhere in case you need them and police will arrive in less than a minute.

Student discounts are available everywhere. Prices range from cheap to expensive. You can find every type of food.

Rainy days are horrible and when it gets hot, you feel like you want to go run into a pool.

We love football. Almost every student goes to the games especially during football and basketball season. School spirit is a big deal.

Student Union is pretty unique and the center to student life.

The student center is fine, but definitely nothing amazing.

It's not really that diverse at all -- mostly white kids.

Certain areas of the campus are neglected compared to the busier ones.

It all depends on your roommates, honestly! The facilities are okay.

I have never felt unsafe at University of central Florida. They are police men and campus security watching the area. They also have cameras almost all over campus. However, you should always take precaution where ever you are.

Better to Walk, take a bus, or bike. With over 60,000 students, it's difficult to find parking at all! The price is high for those who chose to buy a permit and one must always come early in the morning or risk not finding parking at all! In addition, just because one finds parking, it'll likely not be near your class.

The dorms have special keys so they are relatively safe for those who feel insecure. Upperclassmen have access to better dorms called Towers but they are pricey. There are new dorms called Neptune that may be better than the older dorms of Libra and Apollo. These dorms are for the freshmen and are dirty, old and very dull. Its almost like living in a cement prison while sharing it with 3 other people. The academic village of Nike and Hercules is where one would want to stay for their freshmen year. It is apartment style where each person has their own room and share their bathroom with only one other person as compared to sharing a room with one other person and sharing the bathroom with 3 other. Northview is the newest option for both freshmen and upperclassmen. They are off campus but affiliated with the school.

I am in the College of business. I am majoring in accounting and so far happy with everything the college has offered me. My favorite part of the course so far was cornerstone. Its a class that helps you build up leadership, business, communication and entrepreneur skills. in this class you form a group of 5 to 6 people, who will raise money for a certain cause. In order to pass, the class you have to raise a minimum of $1000. Our group got to raise a total of $1250 for a group of kids at a school who were having financial issues with getting clothes, uniform, books etc. Some groups raised money for nonprofit organizations that help poor kids, individuals suffering from cancer, etc. It was a very nice experience.

Expensive and Fattening – Though the school attempts to provide healthy alternatives as well as calorie counts, it does not do a good job on providing cheaper meal plans. It can be hard to control one's appetite when exposed to the buffet style of food. To get one's money worth of food, they would have to eat large unhealthy meals every time they entered the dining hall. However there are other restaurant options at the student union.

Orlando is the perfect place to have a campus! There are beaches just 30 minutes away, all the major theme parks less than a hour away and downtown night life can be easily accessible with party buses less than $10. There are plenty of shopping malls! If you have more to spend Mall of Millenia, Florida Mall and the premium outlets are the places to go! Smaller malls like the Waterford Lakes Pavillion, Oviedo Mall and Orlando Fashion Square are no more than 30 minutes away from the campus. Orlando is the center of many large events like Megacon at the convention center and the games and concerts at the Amway. There are many events going on year round so its never boring being in the center of it !

My health informatics and information management major required a separate application after completing general education courses and some prerequisites. It required an essay, 3 recommendations, criminal background check, extracurricular activities, a beautiful resume and transcripts. Though the program is easier to get into than the Nursing program. It does include a lot of courses that weed out kids like anatomy and physiology. The director of the program is great and is very willing to help out all her students and potential program students! She gives great advice and nudges us in the right direction by showing us places where we may get experience as a volunteer or as an intern!

Unforunately, UCF is located in florida not New York. They do have a public bus transportation for students;however, you can only go so far with it.

Studying at University of Central Florida has been a great experience. My professors so far have been very good at teaching the material. They were also very willing to assist in any questions you had or problems. They really want you to do well regardless of the fact they see so many students a day. There are always TAs to help with homework problem or tests. The teachers encouraged discussion in the classes all the time so its good to know the material. Some professor encourage you to do more work but its worth it at the end. All the work makes you know the material very well.

The University Of Central Florida is in a great are Florida. The amusements parks such as Disney, Sea world, and Universal Studios are just 45 minutes away from the school. Daytona beach which is just a short drive away has a great beach scenery which to me is important because I love the beach. However, the campus is just filled with so much to do. It's so big it has its own food court, barber shop, fashion stores. I just moved to Orlando and there is just so much to do and explore that have to give it a B so far.
