Only notice students going out of their way to help the newcomers adjust to their Dorms and classes showing them positive images for wanting to be a student there on campus and no drug use was notice or any drinking. We all took a course in Alcohol and drug usage before entering school on campus to give us an heads up to what not to do and what to avoid

There is a lot of different things to do in Orlando. There are some things very close to campus but Orlando is a huge place so there are a lot attractions that are a bit farther from campus. There is good shopping throughout Orlando and there are many theme parks to go to. There is also a downtown part of Orlando which is much more like a city whereas UCF is located in a more suburban area.

Guys & Girls:
Most people at UCF are from Florida and everyone is pretty friendly.

So far I am just taking my general education courses, so I haven't really got to the stage of taking courses that is really about my major. I have only taken two classes, so there is not much to say about the workload, curriculum, facilities, or internship/job opportunities just yet.

Currently at UCF it is very hot and there are days when the rain can stop you from doing anything. When its hot the heat is very dry and there is no wind that can help cool the heat down.

The computers at UCF are usually not crowded, unless its crunch time which is during midterms and finals. People can always find computers to use either in the library, or computer labs when it is not crunch time. Most students on campus have their own laptops to use because the campus does have free wifi, no matter where you go.

There are so many different options near UCF to dine at. What makes things better is that most of the dining options are right near each other, or even in a plaza. So if one day I feel like eating at a buffet, I can go right to Golden Coral. Things get better because say if the next day I get the italian feeling I can go not even 1 mile away to get to Olive Garden and there is unlimited breadsticks given to you there! There is a place for ice cream alone, or frozen yogurt, just incase if I do not want a heavy meal.

I received a god amount of financial aid that will be able to pay for my tuition because I did not live on camps. Now that I am living on campus there is not enough money to pay tuition and housing and now I do not know where the rest of the money will come from for me to pay for housing.

Im extremely happy with the Studio Art Major program at UCF.

UCF has a very strong drug safety record and all incoming students are required to be knowledgable of alcohol and drug abuse on campus.

The public transportation around UCF is really quite encompassing and convenient for students to utilize. There are bus stops on nearly every corner as well as a shuttle system that carries students.

I am happy with my educational track right now. If I could do it over again I would definately choose the same major. I am not too worried about finding a job after graduating.

I think the public transportation at the University of Central Florida is excellent. The shuttles run from different apartment complexes to the campus every fifteen minutes and it's free. It is very convenient for students to use.

The nightlife at UCF is pretty good. The bars and clubs are for anyone 18 and older which is the age most people start college. You have to get stamped if you are under 21 so you cannot get a drink which I think is a great system. House parties are okay. The only problem I have with it is that they cater more to drinking and playing drinking games than actually dancing and having a good time. It is really easy to get transportation to the bars and house parties as they are all usually around the campus and the their is also a bus that can take students downtown to the clubs and back which is very convenient especially for those who are drinking.

While the new housing community, Neptune, is nicely equipped for a dorm, it is also extremely pricey, at $750 a month. Even the least expensive dorms end up costing $600 per month. By comparison, there are apartments nearby for $425-500 a month. It is well-worth it to ask yourself if it's worth $100-$250 a month extra to live on-campus, especially because UCF provides free shuttle service to a number of affiliated apartment communities.

I entered my school as 'undeclared' because I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do. After a couple of classes and going to counselors I realized that I was good with numbers and I liked working in an office setting. It wasn't much long after that that I declared accounting as my major and I am completely happy with it and grateful for my school for providing the resources for me to figure it out.

In high school I took several AP courses and some of them did not transfer through for some reason. So while I was trying to get into my program there were several red flags on my account saying that I had not met all the requirements. There are so many students in the school that sometimes they forget to input your transfer credits or AP credits and I almost didn't make the deadline because of this. Also, the required general education classes are always changing so you have to continuously check to make sure you took that course.

There are plenty of places around the campus that are frequently packed with students. These include several bars and late night hole-in-the-wall restaurants that everybody goes to. The bars themselves are not the best, so I would recommend going to a house party or going more downtown for the real clubs.

I am an accounting major at the University of Central Florida. I am currently a junior and have had only a small exposure to my required classes but so far the program seems to be very good. There are plenty of instructors and professors who know what they are talking about and make an effort to really teach the students.

It seems like everything under the sun is in walking distance from campus. There is never a reason not to have something delicious to eat every night.
College Junior 2013-08-04T03:39:53Z
There is ALWAYS something new going on on campus! From LateKnights to the pool there is never a reason not to have fun.

Buildings are constantly being updated and built. Every once in a while something is broken but it is usually fixed in a decent amount of time.
College Junior 2013-08-04T03:36:59Z
PLENTY of off campus opportunities! Need to be safe walking from place to place but that goes with anything.
College Junior 2013-08-04T03:34:35Z
I don't always drive to campus. But when I do, I usually am always able to find a parking spot and make it to class on time. I do hear of horror stories. People need to plan accordingly.

My time in Orlando has been pretty good. There are plenty of students around, and most are friendly and respectful. There are plenty of restaurants near UCF, and major theme-parks are not too far away.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
