The parking garages are in the corners of campuses. I wish they had some closer to the academic areas.

The food service, quality and choice is outstanding.

They have plenty of computers and computer labs for everyone. I'm an apple lover so I don't use their computers and because I'm not a fan of the PC, I give them a B rating.

Everyone looks forward to the football, baseball and basketball games. Our enthusiasm is quite outstanding. Our gym facilities arguably might be the best in the country, just incredible.

I'm not involved in Greek Life so it would be unfair for me to rate it.

Free buses to and from off campus housing. Free buses downtown on weekends

Local bars are great. 5 dollar cover and then free drinks for the rest of the night. Downtown is only a few miles away too.

Football is on the rise fast and many of the smaller sports such as women's soccer are always national contenders

Pretty similar to most public schools in the state of florida

Not necessary to have a great time but has definitely doubled my fun at ucf

The cafeterias are very modern and have multiple stations from which one can choose. The food is, primarily, healthy. Two thumbs up!

There are so many places just down the street from UCF. The whole University Street is just lined with every restaurant imaginable. I've been there 2 years and still haven't tried all the dining off campus and we got at least 1-2 times a week!

I bring an iPad but I rarely use it. As a business major we have our own private computer lab that always has an open computer even during final exam week or crunch time. The Easy Printing Lab on campus gives you about 10 free prints a semester which covers most of your papers. I only used it when I forgot to print mine.

The professors at UCF will do almost anything for you (besides change your grade). Most will sit there for hours and help you drill any topic that you don't understand into your head. They always make time for students and accommodate the needs of their students. Very few assign homework but generally provide some sort of practice problems that we can do at our leisure to help prepare for upcoming quizzes and exams.

One unique aspect of my Finance Degree is I must complete a Cornerstone and Capstone class. This class requires me to go into the real world and partner up with a Non-profit organization. Our non-profit organization was Boys Town. They help at risk children who need a temporary or long-term home. We had to raise a minimum of $1,000 for the Boys Town Birthday Closet. We held fundraisers and events to complete our goal and provide the kids at Boys Town with at least one birthday present of their choice.

Print labs are backed up most of the time. Internet is slow or drops often. A personal printer is a huge help, but not necessary, but a personal computer is definitely needed

Campus housing is kind of outdated. The insides of the dorms are actually fairly large and they have cleaners that come once a month.
College Junior 2013-08-10T04:17:36Z
Security on campus is very strict and also treats many students like they are criminals even though they are doing absolutely nothing wrong. My view is that if you're not doing anything bad, then you don't have to worry about getting in trouble. It's safety not strictness.

Scholarships aren't advertised to students enough. You really have to dig to find scholarships that you are eligible for. Most of the time you miss the deadlines because they weren't promoted enough.

Off-Campus dining at UCF is full of variety. There's everything from Mexican to Japanese. They're are close to campus which makes them convenient and affordable for college students.

Living in Florida, the weather is unpredictable. The mornings are cool and breezy and as soon as the sun rises, the heat hits. It goes from 79 to 90 degrees in a matter of fifteen minutes. It also rains randomly during the day for about thirty minutes to an hour. This makes every day unpredictable. In the mornings it's nice and then the rain will drop while you are switching classes or going back to your car. It limits social experiences especially with the extreme heat and humidity during outside events. But, whether cannot be controlled so we do our best to have good experiences on campus.

Great academics at UCF, everyone is helpful and the classes are interesting. If you get stuck on something there is always someone there to help you get through it.
College Freshman 2013-08-10T01:08:36Z
There is almost always something to do around campus and off campus, you can drive 30 minutes and be at downtown disney, or universal!
College Freshman 2013-08-10T01:06:33Z
UCF has so many different majors offered it is amazing. I have a wide variety to choose from and everyone around campus is always so helpful! The professors are willing to work with you if you're stuck on something and there is always extra help avaliable!

The parking can sometimes be a nuisance. There are very few garages that are free parking but spots fill quickly. Other parking mandates a parking fee per semester that's well in the hundreds but its good parking because its close to classes. A car isn't really needed but unless you are interested in eating in off campus places or other entertainment options, everything is in campus. It's just a walk away.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
