There are so many things to do, its great. If I walk around the student union for 5 seconds I have a new shirt and a coupon book.

Guys & Girls:
Orlando has warm weather year-round, which makes outdoor activities easier. That means a year-round swim suit/shorts season, encouraging people to stay fit, and most do.

It was alright until ALL greek life was shut down last year. hahahah

Downtown Orlando is one of the best places to be. There are tons of options for everyone from your VIP-back-booth-ers to your shoes-optional-hipster-hangouts. The warm weather year-round definitely adds to the never-ending summer atmosphere!

My grad program offers a lot of program-specific perks in addition to everything the main campus offers. It's definitely nice to have more options.

The campus cafateria is nothing special and a bit over priced for what they offer. On the other hand there are other places to eat located around campus from Japanese steak house to a subway. overall you can easily find any type of meal that you are in the mood for.

As a biomedical student UCF's program in this field is what attracted my to this school. UCF is renowned for its teachers in the science field and always produces graduates that are more than capable to preform any task related to their major.
College Senior 2013-07-30T15:33:30Z
The campus is very stict about academic and social policies that they have in place. Safety of the students and scademic success are UCF's top priorities.
College Senior 2013-07-30T15:31:29Z
If you arrive on campus before 10am then parking isn't any concern, however if you arrive between the hours of 10-2 then you can expect to spend 30 minutes or more looking for a place to park.

As a non-Greek student I disagree with the Greek life on UCF. Most of the organizations require you to make the greek organization your first priority and school second. Most of the social organization make party attendance a requirement reguardless if you have school work or an exam to focus on. For this reason I don't understand why anybody would want to join the greek life but for those who do join they seem to enjoy it but they're also the ones that struggle in their classes.

There are new apartments that have just been built close enough to school that you can walk, although the prices are still tough.
College Senior 2013-07-30T15:26:16Z
UCF has a habit of allotting financial aid to its students and then "resetting" the system the day before the tuition payments are due so that you have to reclaim the financial aid. This causes many students to not reclaim the aid in time and get stuck with paying for school out of pocket. My advice is check your account every day to make sure nothing has changed.

The Student Union and other publicly accessible facilities on campus are of great quality.
College Sophomore 2013-07-30T15:15:37Z
UCF has students of every ethnicity and nationality!
College Sophomore 2013-07-30T15:11:38Z
The Greek life at UCF is not that big of an aspect of overall UCF college life. If you're not a part of it, you rarely ever see any functions they put on or really hear about their lives. You can still have a great time at UCF even if you're not in Greek life
College Senior 2013-07-30T15:09:53Z
Nightlife is great for poor college kids both underage and over 21. Cover is cheap and drinks are free most nights.
College Senior 2013-07-30T15:08:31Z
Greek life is small at UCF but they are very involved on campus an throughout the community. The surrounding bars are mostly run by Greeks.
College Senior 2013-07-30T15:07:05Z
UCF athletes have many die-hard supporters regardless of performance on the field.

The student union is the best place for anything on campus. From student activities, to a study place, food, and even volunteering and studen body government. I spent alot of time there since I was a LEAD scholar and our office was in the student union.
College Junior 2013-07-30T14:57:19Z
I can't speak much about off campus housing since I spent my first two years in the dorms, but I'll be going off campus this year and I can say that the process was pretty easy. Most of the housing off campus is across the street from the school in walking distance (or the bus line can be used) and the prices are definitely affordable.

Guys & Girls:
There is a huge variety of students at UCF. Something we are known for. WE are the most diverse college and offer alot of really good incite on perspectives, equality and respect
College Junior 2013-07-30T14:54:05Z
The academics offered at UCF could be given around a B. The new study areas around campus have really helped with my studies and the new AllKnightStudy definitely saved me during Final Exam period. I could say some professors should definitely not be employed at UCF, but in the school's defense) they can't monitor every single teacher I guess.

I am a Biomedical Sciences major but from the past two years, every student can attest that the Math Department has hindered the success of many students enrolled in math classes. Aside from that aspect, this major is challenging, but thats expected.
College Sophomore 2013-07-30T13:53:46Z
I'm currently considering a major change but i like my major as a way to get into a medical program.
College Sophomore 2013-07-30T13:51:36Z
I'm not sure if my personal experiences of UCF are representative of the overall drug scene, but at UCF i was exposed to weed, various smart drugs, psychedelics, and alcohol. It also looks like a ton of kids are on steroids
Sorry, there are no reviews.
