Transportation options for UCF aren't the greatest but it is definitely something that can be easily figured out. It is possible to use the campus bus system. I have never used it although I know many of people do. Ive never seen anyone use a Taxi to get to school. Manly people just ride together or drive their own cars. The car pool system is something I would definitely recommend. Parking on campus is not the most convenient. There is limited parking compared to the number of students who drive cars. If being late to class is a usual thing, good luck finding parking.

The off-campus dining options near UCF are great. There are many options with a wide variety of food, cost and convince. Wether a person is in the mood for a quick and easy place to eat or a nice sit down restaurant, he or she will have plenty of good options to choose from. A student favorite is Kyoto. They have great lunch specials and the food is amazing. Once I discovered Kyoto, I ate there four days in a row. If a wide variety of dining places is a must, the UCF Orlando area is perfect.

You pay to have friends. It's only worth it because they get leadership positions and hire their own.

Moving to Orlando near the UCF campus has showed me that it rains almost every single day! I did not expect this, but when I don't have class and am relaxing at home it is nice.

When first receiving financial aid it was tough to get everything I needed. They were able to give me some form of grant but I still had to take out loans. This is unfair to me because I support myself and pay my own bills but financial aid still counts me as a dependent. Now on my last year of college my grants were completely taken away and now I will have to just take out bigger amounts of loans. This is very annoying as now I will graduate with a bigger amount of debt.

The main reason I chose UCF was because of their new and upcoming hospitality college. The hospitality college is not on the main campus but in the heart of tourism in Orlando. The program is so great and all the professors have great insight to the industry. I have learned so much from the school and have gained so much opportunity from being able to be a part of the hospitality college.

There is a pretty broad selection of nightlife by UCF. There are several places for students 18+ and few 21+. When I was a freshman i enjoyed the clubs very much but now as a senior I prefer somewhere more sophisticated. There is not really much use of cabs by the campus area although there should be to prevent students from drinking and driving.

UCF's campus life is pretty great. There are constantly exciting events and activities going on. With such a huge campus there are plenty of food spots, a massive library and tons of green space. The campus also features a very updated, massive, two story gym that provides free classes and several activities.

There are lynx buses available to get you around the city. Also, UCF provides FREE shuttles to local apartment complexes/grocery stores. There are UCF designated FREE bus rides to get to downtown. Also, our SGA allows you a free cab ride if you ever need it. ZipCars are available for rental, too. There's a nearby trainstation and airport (which FREE busrides are available during holidays courtesy of UCF). With all these ways of transportation handy, it's not difficult to get around. But in Orlando, everything is spread out, which can be frustrating.

Guys & Girls:
There is so much diversity offered at UCF that you will find ANY person of your dreams. The typical frat guys, hipsters, nerdy boys, etc. The 50k+ students makes it so easy to find eye candy walking to class or where ever you're headed in the area. There are too many people to not find someone you're interested in and if you're looking for - a relationship.

There's several off campus housing units that are all connected to the school by a bussing system.

They're very good about keeping on top of all the happenings around school and keeping the campus safe.

The nightlife on campus remains a pretty safe place with the majority of the parties and hangouts happening off campus.

We have an excellent police force and very few drug related incidents on campus.

Not really part of it but have heard good things about it.

I have only been here for summer but every weekend there is something to do.

Nightlife at UCF has been very horrible as a lot of students go parties very week, get drunk, and relinquish their studies. Also, there are a lot of accidents going around due to the nightlife events.

Students are very passionately involved, team performance is one of the best parts of UCF athletics, there is strong fan support from all over the nations, and students possess very high school spirit.

Not bad after all, except for the fact that there is no consistent time schedule to the transportation.
College Junior 2013-07-29T15:58:45Z
There is just a very strict limit as to what we shall be doing. Costs for parking are relatively high, constant parking tickets are given for unnecessary reasons, and poor directions are given to any visitors, students, and s forth.
College Junior 2013-07-29T15:20:42Z
I have not personally seen students engage in drug use or under age drinking. Policies against underage drinking are strictly enforced so students usually do not risk it. There are incidences where there have been underage drinking caught in dorm rooms but it has not seemed to be a huge problem.

I have not applied nor tried to get financial aid.

Florida weather is very abrupt and sudden so in an instance the weather can turn from sunny to rainy. When it begins to rain, it is hard to switch from class to class because UCF is an outdoor college. Students have to walk in the rain in order to get from class to class. This can ruin a students day if they have to sit in class totally wet.

The computer labs at UCF are usually full but there are enough of them at campus to find a computer. If a student is unable to find a computer then if they have their own laptop, they can freely connect to the UCF internet. The network speed at times can be slow because of the amount of students that may be using it at that time. However, the internet is quite reliable.
College Junior 2013-07-29T15:07:50Z
UCF allows their students to freely express themselves academically and artistically. They allow students to create clubs and those clubs always have a spot in the back of the student union where they can recruit other students. I have never felt restricted by any policies at UCF. Campus police are also quite friendly.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
