Besides the typical crowded and limited spaces during finals weeks, there are several stations where computers are available. The cafe lounge is great for a low-volume, yet inviting atmosphere, where the fourth floor of the library is absolutely silent for extreme "studiers" like myself being a pre-medical student. Wifi connection on campus is great, but I would recommend bringing your own computer to ensure you have a computer to save personal documents and change locations in the library if needed.

UCF has an abundance of opportunities for any major or interest. Within my major, Biomedical Sciences, I have been given great opportunities to expand my college career as I conducted research through the help of the Summer Research Academy provided through the university, was an active member of a pre-medical club, and even broadened my college experience by participating in intramural sports. UCF is a modern and beautiful campus that continues to grow with class sizes as well as different buildings and monuments to better serve the UCF students. UCF has wonderful amenities as well such as leisure pools, a recently remodeled Recreation and Wellness Center, a library with every resource you need, a supportive counseling center, a great school spirit atmosphere, and best of all, dedicated professors that are there to help their students.

UCF offers shuttles for its students, from campus to dorms and various off campus apartments. It's very handy. Public transportation isn't the best, but UCF shuttles help get you from home to campus very easily.

There could be more, but the ones currently surrounding the entrance of campus are open late, affordable, and delicious. There is also a variety from sit down types to fast food, and everything from Asian to Greek.

Having a noticeable student population from all corners of the globe, as well as a diverse community of attendees nationwide and locally, UCF is pretty much as diverse as you can get.

The great thing about UCF is that the students are very friendly and social. Therefore, you will always see students hanging out with one another right after class at the student union or on their way to exercise in our athletic center.

UCF is located near Waterford Lakes. Which is a town center that consists of stores, restaurants, movie theater, and local medical offices. This area is very popular and is also near the Orlando International Airport.

There are labs within every building on campus. The only problem is that they do not have a lot of computers.

UCF is very strict about the students' GPA. I find this very helpul because it motivates me to do better in school and not fall below a 2.5, yet alone a 3.0.

UCF's campus life brings students together and creates school spirit. The hang out spot is the student union. On Wednesdays, the African American greeks perform and hand out fliers about their organizations. The student union always have information about what is going on during the week. For example, the different club meetings and sport events. The gym has a variety of workout equipment. They are always working efficiently. The gym is always crowded. The library is spacious and have four floors. There is a floor where a student can talk with friends and study. Then there is a floor where a student can go to study in an quiet atmosphere. There are many campus events like pool parties and socials. These events allow students to network and build friendships.

At UCF, there are plenty of academic programs like LEAD that can get students ahead of the game. I came to my school in the summer and that allowed me to get to know my way around. When it comes to campus life, there are a variety of activities. There is a social event called Late Knights. It is an alternative to going out to clubs and drinking alcohol. It brings UCF students close together and build unity. The facilities at UCF are clean and are always available to the students.

I received a decent amount of financial aid, but the process was not easy. I went to the financial aid office at least twice a week until I received my money. The reason why it was confusing for me was because I got different answers from different people. Once I got my financial aid money in fall, the process was smoother in my spring term. The tips I have for incoming freshmen are to turn in your FAFSA on time and make appointments with a financial aid officer.

The restaurants around UCF are excellent and have great variety. There are plenty of restaurants with different foods like American, Japanese, Mexican, and Italian. When I want to have a great meal and sit down with friends, there are restaurants like Olive Garden and Red Lobster. When I want to get a quick meal, there are places like Zaxby's and Chipotle. They are very close to the campus and have special student discounts. One of my favorite places to go to eat is T.G.I Friday's. There is a special where you can get an appetizer and a main course for $13. That's pretty good for a college student.

The diversity on campus is huge. Students are very diverse in their beliefs, religions, and race. We also have a lot of members of the LGBTQ community and our school has a strong amount of straight students that support this group.

There are plenty of fun traditions on campus. Especially the traditions during the homecoming week. The traditions at UCF make us feel so connected to the school and increase the school pride. The recreation center is the most impressive one of all state schools. It is extremely large, clean, and well stocked with all sorts of equipment in good condition.

The opportunities on campus are endless. There are so many different people with different views at UCF and that means that it is really diverse. I love that there is so much to do at UCF and countless ways to get involved on campus. There is really something for everyone here.

The dorms at University of Central Florida are amazing. Of course, they are not perfect but the resident assistants were always there when I had an issue in my room. The RAs made the social atmosphere! There were social events to meet the people who lived on my floor. I lived in the newer dorms for my summer term and the cost was reasonable. The only issue I had was how far away they were from the classes. It took at least 10 minutes to get to the classrooms. However, the advantage of living in those dorms were being close to the gym and the pool. We also had plenty of washers and dryers to do laundry. The housing process was simple when I moved in but the moving out process was confusing. I had to make an appointment to move out. The housing department were overwhelmed with other students, I had to wait until I could move out. When I moved out, they had to check the room for damages which was completely understandable. I definitely enjoyed living in the dorms. It made my transition into college much more enjoyable.

The transportation options at UCF are really good especially in that the university offers free shuttles to the mall and downtown on weekends for students. There are also shuttles to the local off-campus housing complexes which makes living off campus easier. The public transportation system is also pretty good and you can go almost anywhere by taking a Lynx bus.

There are plenty of restaurants and places to eat around the UCF area and there is a diversity of types to choose from. the nice thing is that most of then are relatively close by which is nice. I do know that downtown has quite the selection as well and streets like International Dr. are known for its world encompassing variety.

Orlando is a fun place to live. There is lots of activities and discounts available to students which makes it a great place for us. The people and businesses around the area are generally friendly and there is always some type of entertainment happening. The public transportation is also pretty convenient and UCF offers free shuttles at times which makes getting around pretty easy.

In a school that has over 50,000 students, it is safe to say that the student population is very diverse. At UCF we have a lot of International student many who come from various parts of the world. The nationalities range from Arabic, Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American and locals. I love the atmosphere. I've learned so many multicultural aspects of life since I've been here - It is truly wonderful.

Public Transportation is available to students. I haven't used it yet but I have read about it. Many people that have used it say that it is very good and convenient.

Health & Safety:
I feel safe on my campus. I have been out late at night and I didn't feel unsafe. There are many emergency call poles around the campus for students to use. There is also transportation for students that feel unsafe.

I am very happy with my program because i feel that the hospitality program has some of the best professors teaching the subject. i feel as if i learn the best from my professors rather than the other classes that i have.

I love being in the Food Service and Restaurant management because at UCF there is a whole another campus for just Hospitality Majors, making me feel incredibly special as a hospitality.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
