With such a large population of students, it feels like very variance of diversity can be found to be represented. It is a fairly white school, but is by no means an overwhelming majority.

The buses were pretty much always on time inner campus, though I did not use them all that much. Instead I used city buses for extended trips from my place of residence and those were pretty standard, but they went from very close to my place straight to campus.

Being part of the honors college, I had special access to the honors computer lab which easily met any needs I had for printing, always had room to work, and was never noisy or distracting. Because of this I never used the standard computer labs on campus.
The wireless internet was mostly reliable around campus and I always had a signal wherever I went. The only negative part (which would be hard to account for) was that the network was in such use that I could not connect sometimes

I believe that UCF has a great academic program and it's getting even better. It's one of the biggest schools in the nation and it's getting even tougher to get in year after year. I got in with a 25 on my ACT but now you need around a 28 to get in. That definitely says something about the high standards the university holds for itself and its students.

The police are pretty strict with underage drinking, but only if someone filed a complaint about you. Other than that, you can pretty much get away with anything.

I am in the College of Business at the University of Central Florida, majoring in accounting. While the curriculum is very challenging, most of the professors do a great job trying to make it as simple as possible. There are some professors who are better at conveying information than others but for the most part, they're good.

There aren't many security guards walking around, and weve had many bomb threats and a terrorist living in a dorm room

There are many teams, even though our football team isn't the best, other teams are popular

Off Campus Eating – There are numerous places close to campus for students to eat. Some include Jimmy Johns, Del Taco, and Applebee's. Theres a lot of variety between restaurants and fast food, and theres also a lot of choices on campus as well. I just wish that there were some closer to campus because they're difficult to get to without a car!

I think the most unique thing at UCF is the diversity of the people here. With over 50 thousand students, there is a little (or a lot) of everything.

The drug scene is not very big but it depends who your friends are. Since there are over 50 thousand people, you could probably find something if you really searched. On the other hand drinking is a big thing, including the club/bar nightlife and tailgating.

Any kind of food you can imagine is probably available at UCF somewhere. Our school is basically a small city, and the dining options go along with that.
College Junior 2013-07-17T21:58:44Z
Due to the amount of students at UCF, almost everything and everywhere is packed full. Sometimes in a good, sometimes in a bad way. For example, at the gym it's not so great because it's hard to get in and out quickly, but at pre-football game tailgates, Memory Mall is loaded with school spirit and festivities.

The school offers many facilities, programs and extracurricular activities to attend. Sporting events are free for students to go to and they are encouraged to. There are quite a few buildings that serve as "hangouts".

At UCF as a Music Performance major, I practice at least 10 hours a week. I have a 1 hour lesson with my professor every week. WE must also perform in one music ensemble (band) each semester. My professors are all skilled musicians who know how the industry and how music works. Outside of purely mechanical instrument technique they do offer teaching on the business side of things. They are all successful musicians and try to convey how to be successful to us.

I came to the University of Central Florida because of the professors I met on a trip there. As a music performance major, jelling with your professor is very important. To keep up its requires much practice separately and the school offers sufficient practice rooms to play our instruments in. The professors offer office hours and are friendly most of the time. In general ed, all the teachers offer office hours , an email address and a syllabus. They give you most the tools you need to succeed.

While there is a zero tolerance for drugs outside of tobacco and alcohol, its still very easy to find students doing either outside the walls of the campus.
There is a "no smoking on campus" rule but absolutely nobody follows it (that smokes), as you can see dozens upon dozens of buts scattered against the probationary signs.
College Sophomore 2013-07-17T18:21:50Z
While the school offers many services, because it is so big the quality and depth of these programs and sometimes the staff, is lacking at points.
There are standouts in the staff of many majors, and because of the large population of students there is a wider network of alumni, and prospects for a job after schooling.

There's plenty of different dining options on campus. There's meal plans for 2 different cafeteria places, plenty of other on campus dining, full restaurant, take out, student union fast food, unique eats, cultural restaurants, and plenty of other options for healthy choices or snacks.

Everything went somewhat smoothly. The only fuss is waiting for the kickback money to be directly deposited into my account. Waiting for that took longer than wanted.

It's so easy to be involved and have fun here. UCF has a lake on campus that you just show your student ID and you can kayak, paddle board, and other water activities that allow you to just unwind and enjoy yourself without traveling far.

Sometimes it is just way too hot to even want to walk outside, let alone walk around campus sweating on your way to class.

There is always a lot to do around UCF! This includes theme parks like Islands of Adventure, Sea World and even Busch Gardens is only an hour away. College students around here are very active, always running and exercising. It is very fun to be around.
College Sophomore 2013-07-17T02:31:39Z
I don't go out much but I've heard from others that there is plenty to do around UCF.

I have not yet received my scholarship status for UCF, I am a transfer student.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
