there is only one 'buffet' type establishment on campus that students can get an all you can eat a half way decent meal for cheap or you can expect inflated prices at their many fast food corporate establishments all located in the back of campus

Not very many scholarships are available for non traditional students and the deadlines are boarder line impossible to meet when most due dates line up with previous semester final exam weeks

The food and dining options on campus are very good. They have approximately 30 options, including chick-fil-a, jimmy johns, and kyoto sushi. The dining halls at University of Central Florida serve better food than other universities I have attended, but I recommend using the outside restaurants. The meal plans (depending on how much you pay) include the Marketplace and Knightros, and $50 Knight cash.

I am an Elementary Education major pending student. I have taken three classes (and i'm currently enrolled in my fourth class) and the professors are all very friendly! I have had: Dr. Koger (EDF 2005), Mrs. Jennings (EDF 2085) and Mr. Raible (EME 2040) so far and I have loved them all! They make the class easy and fun to be in (which is great because all of those classes are pretty lengthy). Currently for my summer A session, i'm enrolled in Dr. Snyder's class (EDF 2130) and she is such a sweetheart! I definitely feel comfortable and have felt comfortable in my classes for my major and i'm excited to take more of my education classes!

In the University of Central Florida there is a vast amount of diversity on campus when it comes to students. There are students of different ethnicity, religions, political beliefs, hobbies, sport preferences, etc. This can be seen around campus with all the different clubs and organizations. The students at UCF are very accepting toward each other and respect each other.

Nightlife for students at the University of Central Florida is very diverse depending on what the student is interested in. There are local clubs and bars that students can go to, some being 21 and over and others being 18 and over. These clubs and bars are close to campus so students can walk to them in big groups or take party buses to them. They can also go to Downtown Orlando in these party buses to enjoy their time in bigger clubs. Downtown Orlando, however, is more for students who are 21 and over.

There is ALWAYS something going on around UCF. We have on-campus activities, some hosted by UCF others by Greek Life or Student Government. There are plenty of parties, local bars, and buses that transport students from campus to downtown.

The restaurants around campus are pretty diverse. You can always find something that is appetizing. From pizza at Mellow Mushroom to Sushi at Fuji.

We have recently become a smoke free campus. We do have 2 bars on campus so many people drink

UCF shuttle from campus to off campus housing is free. At times they are a little slow but it is a much better option than trying to park on campus with everyone else

They can definitely be better, as sometimes I just feel like a customer to them, rather than an actual student. Classes that just aren't handled too well and are mostly just geared towards you passing exams.

Most of it was a hassle and it seemed like I had to fight sometimes just to get any help.

Haven't really been in the program that long, as I'm just now getting into the college of business, but from what I've heard, they don't exactly prepare you enough for the real world.

There is a wide range of races and equal amounts of men and women. Some degrees are more male or female dominated. Like my field of physics about 90 percent of my class mates are men so they sometimes look down on me. But I know I can be just as good or even better than them.

Shuttle buses are free and easy to use around campus. The free safe escort service is nice too. However, parking is absolutely horrible if you are commuting to campus, so get there early to try to find a spot!

I received some financial aid, but not enough to cover much. The loans helped, but I didn't want to take out many loans. UCF does provide a list of scholarships that they update every so often so that does help. As a student you definitely have to stay on top of financial aid or else no one will help you.
College Senior 2013-05-14T09:00:43Z
The parking is horrible; I don't think that they made enough parking garages when compared to the number of students who purchase their parking decals at high rates. High parking tag rates an still no available parking spaces, bad idea.

The weather is simply unpredictable; but for the most part its very good.

Health & Safety:
The environment is beautiful and clean; and the bathrooms and classrooms are always up to part. The garbage is well maintained and recycled properly from what I have seen.

UCF is a great school; it has many available resources and opportunities to become who you aim to be. There are many interesting clubs and events there to get into. And there is always someone to help you in regards to any issues that you may have while attending. UCF has all the answers to your questions and needs while pursuing a great education.

Health & Safety:
Safety at UCF is a two way street: on one hand, we have had bomb threats and safety scares, on the other, these situations are always dealt with immediately. I feel safe here. UCF does an excellent job promoting responsible decisions and offers programs like SEPS who will drive you to your dorm at night so you don't have to walk alone.

It mostly just rains here in Central Florida. As long as you've got an umbrella, you should be alright.

I'm not very into the athletics department, for I spend most of my time involved in my major. I hear they have pretty decent teams and facilities.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
