Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Wow! You never get bored in Orlando. There’s always something new to do or try. The options for Orlando nightlife seem limitless. Orlando has tons of bars and clubs to choose from. There’s something for everyone whether you fancy hip-hop, techno, tavern-style places, pubs, etc. Downtown Orlando features a wild nightlife. Some places charge a cover, but all covers are reasonable and relatively inexpensive. You can often find deals such as $10 all-you-can-drink for the entire night. There are so many specials to take advantage of. Ladies can almost always drink for free every night of the week somewhere. Most places have a designated ladies night every week. Many places offer happy hour with great drink specials daily. It’s possible to find two-for-one drink specials at many places, and some places will even offer three-for-one drink specials at certain times! Orlando is competitive with its prices, specials, and menus since there are so many bars and clubs to choose from.

Get out there and you won’t be disappointed. Bars and clubs aim to please you; they want your continuing business. The only downfall is the distance of Downtown, Citywalk, and Downtown Disney clubs from the UCF area. The Campus Activities Board (CAB) does, however, offer cab vouchers home for students.

Average Nightlife

Nightlife at UCF is okay. I say this because I'm a 20 year old male and can't get into most clubs/bars. I would say the best choice of nightlife at UCF is Mug Mondays at Fubar. It's $10 all you can drink liquor and beer. They give you a mug and re-fill your mug for free all night. I personally stick to house parties since I can't get in to most clubs. There's just less drama at house parties and less fights. Most guys at UCF bars/clubs feel they have to prove themselves, so they start fights for no reason.

Pretty Good Selection

As far as bars and clubs go, there is a pretty good selection in the plaza (library, dungeon, fubar, and scoop), then not in the plaza there is devaneys. They all usually have pretty good deals, either on cover or drinks. They are open for anyone 18+. Although, I'm pretty sure that the plaza is being shut down pretty soon, so I don't know what there will be then. I've heard rumors about the station opening soon, but I don't know many details.
