Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Whatever type of food you could possibly be craving, Orlando probably has it. Orlando is a big city with food establishments covering the entire area. There are tons of restaurants close to campus. Students often leave campus for lunch and find it convenient and enjoyable to do so. University Boulevard and Alafaya Trail are lined with places to eat.

There are mostly chain restaurants located in Orlando, with every single one that you can imagine making its presence from Chilli’s and T.G.I. Fridays to Wendy’s and McDonald’s. It’s possible to find the more authentic “mom and pop” restaurants sprinkled into the mix. You’ll never go hungry in Orlando.

Chipotle

This chain restaurant is really popular and very well known, but I really like it. It has a bunch of options, whether it is white rice or brown rice. The type of meat you would like or no meat at all, the vegetables, the sauces, make so many different options so you can basically have a unique meal each time.

Melting Pot Variety

Around the UCF area students are given a wide variety of off-campus dining options. Most restaurants are within walking distance, and there are an assortment of options. From fast food restaurants with value menus, such as McDonalds and Burger King, to dine-in chain restuarants such as Apple Bee's and Ruby Tuesdays, it is not hard to find a place to eat. Most restaurants also have student discounts as well as daily happy hours and lunch specials to help students on a budget. As my parents always told me, "if you can't find something then you're not hungry" and that is the truth when it comes to choosing a restaurant around the UCF area.
