Overpriced

Overpriced, poorly maintained, disgusting. Why would you even want to live in a dorm when for a few hundred less a month you can have your own bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen, and NOT have to move out by a certain time at the end of each semester.

Apartments Are Affordable

Finding an apartment near the university is an easy process, they are a lot of options. The university provides shuttle service for most of the apartments that are near.

It's All About the Game Some Days

Sports are HUGE here. It's such a big deal that traffic has to be diverted by our police to ensure safety and order. In particular, whether it's football or basket ball, expect huge crowds, parties, tail gaiting, side events, specials, you name it. We even have a VIP room called The Black and Gold just for higher paying attendees or special guests to use for the events, etc. that has it's own open bar and plasma screens everywhere to watch the games. We have even another gym just for the atheletes and training fields and a local catering company for their events so attendees can get food from. We have our own Brighthouse Stadium for football and a baseball field, soccer field, olympic pool, and training fields, track and field, etc., etc. Almost no sport goes unnamed here. We even have a rowing club and lakes for cannoes and places for the volleyball team to practice. We even have a dance team too and water polo.

UCF is huge! There is so much diversity and so many groups in the University itself. Walking through the area is never a bore there are always things to do and sights to see.

UCF- You CAN Finish!!!

This school is truly a great school. There are wonderful professors that help you every way you can. Academic advisers are also there to help you go in the direction you want to go in. There is a diverse group of students and many events always going on throughout the semester to keep students entertained, busy, and full with knowledge.

Overall Experience at the University of Central Florida

So far, I have enjoyed my experience at UCF. It was an easy transfer process from community college. I have enjoyed my professors and classes. It is a nice environment. Though the school is huge, the faculty works closely together.

Great School With Great Environment

UCF been one of the biggest schools in florida makes it really easy to adapt because there's a lot of people you get to meet that means more people you can either study more and get help and find an easier way to keep studying.

A Lot of People, a Lot of Culture

since UCF has approximately 56,000 students and is located in florida there is always going to be a lot of diversity and that is what makes it so great, you're always going to meet people that share or have the same interest as you do

Beach Weather

what it's really good about UCF is that since is located in central florida the weather never gets too cold, theres no snow by the end or fall or the beginning of spring and the rest of the year is just like a beach weather perfect to wear sandals, shorts, and a regular shirt, so after a long day of study you can just go to your house and relax in the pool

A Lot Options

In University of Central Florida not only that the quality of the food is good, but also you get a lot of choices, from mexican food to chinese food, University of Central Florida has a lot of types of food and many good popular franchises.

Diversity at the University of Central Florida

I attend the South Lake and Leesburg campuses for UCF, and I have seen a great deal of diversity. Coming from a small private school, I was almost overwhelmed with the diversity I experienced. In a few of my classes, a little more of a third of my classes were made up of minority students. There are also many of different economic backgrounds. There are some that come from well off families and others that come from families where they have children and struggle a bit finacially. It has been a good experience to see so many people from different backgrounds uniting in group projects, class discussions, and other assignments.

Everything Is Modernized!

UCF is a fairly new school so all of the facilities are modern and high-tech. The Student Union is loaded with big screen TVs in the cafeteria which provide musical entertainment while you're enjoying your lunch. The Gym has 2 floors with 2 pools(Recreational and Olympic), an indoor track, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts, and plenty of advanced equipment and free group exercise classes for you to choose from. The library is HUGE with 5 floors and a ground floor as well and has plenty of computers, private study areas, and group rooms that you can check out as well.

I Love It Here

Since I've been to UCF I loved it here the school is constantly growing and it's fabulous. There are different great place where a student can study and also socialize with other students around the campus. I live off-campus and so far it's great especially because the school provide shuttle to pick students up and drop them in the school. If I had to choose again I would choose UCF again without a doubt.

A Variety of People

There is definitely a variety of people at UCF. I can't think of an overall type of person you will find. There are nerds, hipsters, preps, atheletes. Just your typical college types. You won't find many country people though.

Shuttles Are Awesome

With so many students at UCF, parking is a hassle. There is never a spot when you need one and end up circling the parking lot for a while. This is avoided by the shuttle system. A shuttle runs from all the popular, student affiliated housing every 15 minutes back and forth from campus. This is a great time and money saver!

Process Was Smooth

Financial aid is easy to apply for. Just fill out the FAFSA on time. Any other necessary steps to take will be listed on your "To Do List" under your MyUCF account. This ensures a process that is timely and not confusing.

Greeks Are Good

Greek life at UCF is very essential. It is very strict in it's rules and policies about drinking, grade requirements, etc. Greek students seemed to be much more involved in associations such as SGA, RA's, different clubs, or even just receiving better grades in general. Greek housing and dorm rooms are on the same level. Although, you will not be looked down upon if not in the Greek system, Greek life is definitely everywhere.

Greeks Are Great

The housing for Greek life is great both on and off campus. They are always hosting great parties and events and they are not overbearing like some of the stereotypes make them out to be.

Pretty Lenient School

The one thing about UCF is that they cannot tolerate academic dishonesty, but students can generally get away with things such as drinking and smoking. Just don't make things obvious!

Lots of Variety

You'll see all kinds of people at the school. There are people who are super dressy all the time and there are also people who dress in gym attire all day. Overall, UCF students are hot!

College of Education

I am an Exceptional Ed. major, and the College of Education at UCF is great! All the professors really care about their students and it shows. Senior year, all education majors have an internship, and UCF sets you up with a school. I think its great that UCF sets you up because it's hard to get a good internship, on top of work and school, and UCF does it for you. Also, most education classes you have to do service learning hours. This is great because we get to go to the schools, and work with the teachers and students. By doing this, you can see if this is the right profession for you, and if not you can change your major before its too late and your far into your major.

Convenience of Transportation to UCF

If you don't have a car, or you don't want to drive to campus, there are buses every hour going to and from campus to different student housing. This is very convenient for students who don't have a car, or who cannot afford gas.

Fun to Watch/ Fun to Play

I did not think I would enjoy the games so much, but I have to recommend you get a season ticket when you come here. Football/ basketball have so much campus life before and after they are not something your friends will let you miss. There are also a lot of things the average Joe can participate in, like intramural disk golf. The gym is the best one I have seen in my life.

Always an Open One

I like the late/all-night hours of the main library, and their practice of letting you check out laptops. If these computers are full for exams, there are always open ones in your college's building. Each college has a computer lab of its own, and there are other random ones around campus.
