Parking "Knight"Mare

Parking at the University of Central Florida is one of the hardest things to manage. Some days you are fine leaving your apartment 30-45 minutes before class, finding a parking spot, and making it on time. Other days if you do not arrive at least an hour before your class you will not arrive on time. One of UCF's biggest inside jokes between students is how we become unusually good at "stalking" because we stalk people to their cars or offer them rides to their car in order to get their parking spots.

Strictness at UCF

UCF has a zero tolerance for the use of drugs and alcohol on campus. This includes dorms and fraternity and sorority houses. If an event is registered such as tailgating or a fraternity party, it is okay but under age drinking is strictly enforced. If caught, being expelled from UCF is an option.

Department Transition

The entire digital media program, even after a few years, is still going through a transition stage trying to keep up with the fast changing technology field. The entire department only has one academic adviser and such individual is only available one day of the week for scheduled student meetings. With an overall increasing student population, I personally feel that the department needs to improve their procedures on how to help students stay on track of their degree goal.
