UCO is an amazing university for students of all walks of life to grow and excel to the best of their ability. There are tons of opportunities available to help students reach their potential in every aspect of college life both on and off campus. Campus courses, activities, events, housing, and student organizations are all designed to assist students in becoming more familiar with and preparing for real-life experiences they may not have been able to encounter otherwise. What makes UCO unique is its overwelming amount of community participation and its will to help students build successful lives and careers. There is always someone or some office willing to help with questions or concerns or opportunities to meet new people, and students become a part of something bigger than they can imagine. UCO also exercises its convenience to students with flexible classes, extended hours of facility use such as the campus library, or use of community designated resources. If you are looking forward to building new relationships, learning new concepts, expanding your networking skills, or just looking to experience authentic college life, UCO is the university for you.

Like High School but Better

By this I mean that the class size is small and you often have the same teacher for different classes throughout your college career. You also tend to see a lot of the same people in your classes so it creates an atmosphere of collaboration. I like that I have easy access to my teachers, which are of a high caliber even though it's a small school.

School Newspaper Has Got the Beat

The school newspaper at UCO, The Vista, does a good job of reporting news around campus and around Edmond. I feel they provide a fairly objective point of view for each story on which they report.

Edmond Is Great!

Edmond has tons and tons of restaurants to meet almost any desire. There are lots of local hotspots to compliment the wide array of chains. You can find almost anything from hot dog stands to fancy steakhouses.
