No, not at all. The University of Central Oklahoma does not make students live on campus their first year. The decision is entirely up to you which is super helpful if you cannot afford to live on campus.
No, but I did live on campus, and made lots of friends that I still am really close to.
Freshman are not required to live on campus. I have never lived on campus. First year I lived in an "off campus" housing, Then an apartment and now a house!! So really it is just whatever you want to do.
No, I lived in a student housing apartment called Bryant Place... What a bad experience!!!

The University of Central Oklahoma's campus housing is in-your-face college life at its best. Campus housing is an open resource for college socialites, not to mention a great environment for networking and meeting new friends. Campus housing areas include male and female dorms, in addition to campus suites where students are able to room with other students of the same gender.
The dorms are located at the center of campus, putting on-campus residents directly at the source of all campus activities and events. Though the University Suites, Central Plaza, and University Commons are seconds away from the main grounds, each location is an active circuit of campus interaction. If you are interested in being as active as possible in campus activities, building lasting friendships with other students, and just being in the know about UCO college life, campus housing is the way to go.
