The nursing program at my school is great. The teachers are really there to help you learn, not like most other nursing programs. I enjoy going there and learning so that I can someday be out working as a nurse.

There is not a whole lot to offer. However, there are the general shopping and eating places to keep things upbeat. The night life is not so great, but there are things to do. These things include: movies, ice skating, hiking and scenery oriented things. I wish there were some museums, aquariums or something interesting to do on the weekends or when I got a bit of time from school.

As a pharmacy major, this school has a newer program and with some things they need to establish expectations and keep them that way with little changes unless they have to. I hope to graduate from the graduate school and work as a licensed pharmacist. I am worried about finding a job due to saturation that has been mentioned in class.
College Junior 2013-02-03T23:19:46Z
The school's process for getting into the program is difficult because the standards for the getting into the graduate school are set high. Write a well planned essay for your application and practice interview techniques.

As a pharmacy student, I have an internship due to the fact that we have to accomplish a certain number of hours in order to sit for our NAPLEX exam in order to get our pharmacist's license when we graduate. Unfortunately I have not had any help in getting my internship and wish that the school would help students with things such as this.

A UC scholarship is not hard to come by, as I have two, but I feel like I work harder for a $2k scholarship than someone with a full scholarship. Lots of community service.

Guys & Girls:
Most kids are uptight and less than intelligent, usually only getting in because of their parents' money. Very athletic based despite advertisement as an academic school. The students that live on campus are often noisy and disrespectful I've learned from working the front desk in the freshman dorm.

There are computers everywhere, there is always a computer you are able to get on.

This school is great about opening up and letting new people in.

It is a good all around school, the only thing I have bad about the school to say is that is cost way to much money. I have put almost the same amount in eating there then I have in tuition cost.
There are many apartments and houses available for rent near the school that are fairly cheap; however, most of them aren't listed online and are difficult to find information on. Many who live off-campus are students that are from the area. The students from out-of-state tend to live on campus.
College Junior 2012-12-26T23:32:37Z
Computers are always available; however, they're old and in major need of an update. At the same time they're reliable and fast. I would still recommend having your own computer because the library and computer labs close fairly early and WiFi is available all throughout campus.

All the dorms are within close proximity to classes which is nice. There are also on-campus apartments which are where many of the upperclassmen and graduate students reside. There is one building in which you must be 21+ years of age to live which allows students to have alcoholic beverages. This is a perk most enjoy because they are able to enjoy their age while living on campus.
College Junior 2012-12-26T23:23:05Z
The school is small so students don't get too excited or show much enthusiasm for athletics. However, it is a great place for students who are average athletes in high school to continue their career as a student athlete for a few more years while attending college.

The university offers a decent amount of financial aid, but the process is a hassle. Many students I've spoken with dislike the financial aid department due to several reasons but the biggest being the extensive amount of time it takes to receive refund checks. I didn't receive mine until the semester was almost over and when I did receive it, it was the wrong amount so I had to meet with financial aid to solve the issue then wait another couple of weeks to receive the correct funding.
College Sophomore 2012-12-16T04:35:08Z
It is good. It is a lot cheaper than living on-campus.
College Sophomore 2012-12-16T00:53:43Z
There is nothing to do on the weekend. IT seems that everyone goes home during the weekend.
The food is decent, but there is not a lot of selection.
College Sophomore 2012-12-16T00:50:13Z
Financial aid service is a little slow. I did not receive an email about my refund. Also the direct deposit system was down for the first semester that I was here due to technical update in the system.

I am a pharmacy student, so my opinion will be different from the undergraduate rating. With that being said the school has a good program with professors that are willing to help. I enjoy how our pharmacy building has the latest technology and that only the pharmacy students have 24 hour access to the building. All the class room and lecture halls are state of the art. In fact, it is so high tech that some professors are still getting used to it.

There is a transfer scholarship which I recieved and it put a pretty big dent in my tuition.

Health & Safety:
Parking lots are very well lit, and I feel comfortable walking alone to my dorm.
