Facts

Interviews & Information Sessions

Your best bet is to register on the Admissions website (in fact, it's preferred) at visit.uchicago.edu. Information sessions are offered every day in the morning and early afternoon. Interviews are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. You can also schedule alumni interviews in your area (also online).

Campus Tours

Campus tours run weekdays except for major holidays. During the winter, tours depart after the morning information session. For other (warmer) seasons, there is an additional tour in the afternoon following the afternoon information session. Reservations are recommended but not required. The tours typically last about an hour. Sunday tours are offered, too. They leave from the Smart Museum instead of Admissions, and there is no information session.

Overnight Visits

To schedule overnight visits, go online to http://visit.uchicago.edu/. There, you can select a date to visit. A university student will host you, and you can come earlier in the day to do a tour, go to an information session, and sit in on classes. You can check class schedules at http://timeschedules.uchicago.edu/ to get an idea of what classes you're interested in. At nighttime, your host will take over and show you a typical night at the University of Chicago.

Prospective Weekend

Admitted Students are invited to spend a weekend at the University every spring. Invitations are sent out with admission letters. Students interested in spending a night at the University, prior to admission, are invited to contact PSAC to arrange an overnight stay.
