  • Bringing alcohol into the dorms
  • Parking illegally
  • Underage drinking

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Campus police make themselves known on campus, especially at night, but they aren’t as strict as one may think. There are a lot of rules and regulations in place on campus, but they aren’t enforced consistently. For example, there is a no skateboarding rule on campus, but skateboarders are still out and about. The police department also does not enforce the smoking ban, which only allows people to smoke in designated areas. During the day, it’s pretty easy to get around the rules on campus.

However, beware of parking enforcement because if campus police are strict on anything, it’s parking, mostly because it is such an issue on campus. So always feed your meter on time or you’ll probably have a ticket on your windshield when you return. Parking illegally will score you a nice ticket as well. Parking enforcement makes their rounds regularly and they’re strict, so park at your own risk. Campus police and security are also strict about alcohol in the dorms. There is a no-tolerance policy for alcohol on campus, so it’s better to do your drinking at the bar or a friend’s house off campus. Overall, campus security won’t give you a hard time if you’re obeying the law, and a lot of the time they’re pretty lenient and will let you off with a warning.

Its College, Not Jersey Shore.

Some people treat the dorms like a party house instead of their home while at college. Which is why it is a good thing the RA's on campus are strict about the dorm rules. From drinking to being just plain loud, the dorms are not the place for your obnoxiousness. If the RA's see or even think there is drinking going on in a room they will be the first to barge in and take control. From there they will write you up and walk you to the restroom where they will make you dump every last drop of alcohol down the drain. So feel free to party hard, but keep it classy and outside of the dorms.

Our school takes a lot of pride in the way the students act on and off campus. Drinking rules, and academic policies are enforced. They give you warnings for first time offenses but will become stricter each time you are caught. My advice is to be smart and you will not get into trouble.

Laid Back

In Clifton there are bigger fish to fry than giving out underage drinking tickets. However you will run across some cops that will hand out tickets. Cops are really laid back when it comes to house parties. they will tell you to break it up if your too loud an then leave you be after the party settles down. Since the crime rate around cincinnati isn't exactly the best thing in the world, cops are usually out to get drug dealers or other criminals
