Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Boulder’s public transportation is exceedingly convenient. A small fee is assessed into each semester’s tuition, which allows students to travel on a variety of local buses that tour throughout the city. The pass is given in the form of a sticker, which is placed on every student’s identification card. By showing this sticker along with their ID card, students can travel to Denver and surrounding areas. Many students take advantage of this pass when traveling to and from the Denver International Airport.

There are few places in the country where a car is viewed as unnecessary. In Boulder there is no need to travel when excellent restaurants, lively entertainment, and even laundromats are within walking distance. And for the places you can’t walk to, there is substantial public transportation that can take you wherever you want to go, practically anytime you want.

Shuttle Are Known in Boulder

In Boulder there are always buses lugging people around considering Boulder is not that large. These shuffle are called RTD's they're completely accessible for students. Here at the university we get Buff One Cards, which is your pass into your dorm, meal card and also an instant bus pass. These buses are constantly running in and out of boulder. They'll take you practically to denver and straight to the airport if your choose. It makes long-distance travel a piece of cake for all students.

A Lot of Thought Was Put Into Transportation.

There seems to be a bus for everything. There are lines that travel just within campus and those that service the entire city of Boulder. There are even buses that go straight to the airports for those that travel across the country. There is also a service called CU Nightride that works for students who need to get home on a late night or the weekends.

Transportation

Luckily everything is quite convenient here. You take the school buss to go to classes or the "hill" and if you want to go anywhere else, your tuition pays for your RTD (public transportation) pass so you can get to and from anywhere.
