College Prowler Take
With a multitude of beautiful people at CU, many students ?nd it hard to choose. The countless social scenes offered through bars, house parties, sports, and Greek life provide students at CU with many opportunities to meet, drink, and have whatever type of relationship they're looking for. From the faded steps of Norlin Library, you can watch your love interest provocatively ?ip their long blonde hair and say hello to every person walking down the sidewalk, or melt as the captain of the team tosses a football in your direction. But if a jock or Greek type does little for you, then CU’s remaining selection might. The majority of the guys are snowboarders and skaters who wear baggy pants and a wide selection of baseball caps with their wispy hair poking out. They barely shave, yet manage to still look great. There are also a number of beautiful hippies who hide their perfectly sculpted faces behind their dreadlocks, but watchful ladies are rarely fooled. Girls who prefer their men clean and conservative also have a variety of Abercrombie & Fitch-wearing fraternity and preppy boys to choose from. The men also have little room for complaint. There are girls everywhere, and they are mostly out-of-state bombshells surfacing from Southern California, Illinois, and Texas. Yet, these striking ladies are not easily wooed. Guys often complain that these picturesque women show little remorse for the men who fail to satisfy their expensive taste. Bring your Visa cards, boys, if you want any action from these girls! But, if you want a girl who isn’t too much for your pocket book, the most natural beauties from all over can be found wandering the campus buildings and sidewalks.

There are a lot of good-looking girls and guys on campus, but sometimes I think a lot of people here are a little stuck up and snobby. But on the other hand, there are a lot of really cool people to meet in Boulder. I’ve met some of my best friends here. |

People are from everywhere, so they aren’t all alike, but Boulder definitely has a huge hippie population. A lot of the guys are hippies and have long hair, but some of the guys, most of the frat boys, are preppy. The girls are cool. Of course, you’ll have your snotty girls, but most people in Boulder are alright. Everyone, for the most part, is friendly and accepting of one another. |

FactsBirth Control Available?
Yes - Free condoms can be found in Wardenburg Health Center, and emergency contraception is available over-the-counter in the Wardenburg pharmacy.
Social Scene
It's no secret that CU students enjoy a drink—or two, or three. What might be surprising is that it happens any day of the week. What also contributes to the excessive socializing is the amount of activities available to students. In a town such as Boulder, a friendly hike through the Foothills or a weekend in the mountains skiing is almost commonplace.
Hookups or Relationships?
Though relationships are often explored on the CU campus, the amount of activities available to the high population of students contributes to a leading number of hookups rather than relationships.
Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls
The best place to meet someone is in a classroom. Talking to someone in class generally gets you invited to some social event and from there you can meet several people. Coffee shops and going out to eat alone can work wonders for your social and dating life.
Dress Code
Step into the nearest Urban Outfitters, and you will find a display of tailored trends, which CU students faithfully subscribe to. Savvy students who prefer designer duds can also be found throughout campus decorated in high-end apparel such as Armani and Prada. To compliment these carefully-constructed threads, the sorority types sport the latest Gucci or Louis Vuitton handbag. Yet, not everyone abides by any particular set of standards. Those submitting to somewhat of a rebellion opt for spiked belts toned with a faded pair of blue jeans. This look is often favored by snowboarders and skaters. Last but not least, is the "hippie look," with which Boulder is most often associated. Corduroy and earth tones matched with dreadlocks complete this look, which has proven consistent over the years. In a nutshell: anything goes.
