Only one place on campus

If you are conservative or not extreme liberal watch out, some professors will dislike you just for this. You will need to put up with them ranting bashing your political views and religion, avoid women's studs at all costs.

Nice dining off campus but too expensive for a student who wants to save money

Due to the fact that Stamford campus does not have dorms for students many have to find their own off-campus housing or commute from home which often takes hours because of growing traffic both south and north bounds. To find an apartment in Stamford fairly close to campus is not a problem, but it can be pretty expensive.

Although our three story parking lot is conveniently located just across the street, crossing that street sometimes could be dangerous. With high traffic almost at all times of the day, you have to be extremely cautious for the cars that are not paying attention to pedestrians crossing.

The city of Stamford is extremely diverse. University of Connecticut Stamford campus is conveniently located in the downtown- heart of the city, where there is a huge ethnical, religious, sexual and political variety. Because of this the students on campus are very accepting and understanding.

The school is equipped with the latest technology and knowledgeable team.

Food in the school cafeteria is horrible and expensive. Sorry but it's true.

Most of the girls are very chill. Easy to establish a relationship

Network is reliable for 97% of the time. Once in a while the wifi network will just go downhill, but it is fixed quickly.

You never see any of it going on, no drinking or drug use. You really just hear about it. The school is too small for there to be a drug problem.

The restaurants around the area are amazing!, the campus is close to downtown where the night life is. They have the best Chinese food restaurants! The food is really affordable and easy to get to, some are in walking distance. Some restaurants accept our uconn i.d card so we get discounts at a handful of restaurants

Uconn Stamford has a lot of apartments, the most well-known apartments are the trump towers. Its really classy but very expensive. The apartments are very close to campus which is really convenient, but since i will be commuting i haven't really looked too much into them

Health & Safety:
The campus is very safe and protective, i always feel safe, its right in the heart of the city so enforcement are everywhere. Crime on campus is something ive never witnessed or seen before

The Stamford shuttle is good. It has broken down several times throughout the year and it sometimes late, but it usually is a big help from getting to and from the train station. It is a nice alternative in the winter and bad weather than walking several blocks.

There is one sorority at the regional campus. They do fundraising and participate in campus events, but I do not think they're very big. I don't know a lot about them.
College Junior 2013-07-02T16:31:54Z
Since it is a commuter campus, there is no University-related nightlife that I know of. I have not attended any clubs near Stamford either.

Between the snow and natural disasters, the year was a little rough. Classes were not canceled as often as they should have been. However, most professors were accepting if students could not make it to class due to weather or traveling difficulties. When the weather was nice, I was great to walk around outside the campus and downtown Stamford.

People in this university are very receptive of the diversity that comes along with the talents. For me, it's all about talent and determination, if you can do both, none of the others things should matter. In other words, you are here to earn a degree at the end and to be successful.

There is a lot of space....definitely, it's pretty cool. I am a shy person, so I can't really say much, you have to see for yourself.
College Sophomore 2013-06-25T18:49:22Z
There is a lot to see when it come to UConn-Stamford, because I am shy I don't get to see much. It's a great environment and when other people come, they usually have the same opinion.
College Senior 2013-04-27T15:16:58Z
When it snows, it is difficult to get to class. It is extremely cold and if the weather is bad enough, they will cancel class, but the majority of times, classes don't get cancelled.

When it comes to the UConn basketball games, the students get together and support their team, especially if the teams are participating in a championship.

I really wish UCONN Stamford would add housing. I have a friend with a nearby studio apartment and it costs her $1000. Unless you have parents helping or 2 or more roommates it's nearly impossible to afford on your own.
College Junior 2013-03-04T00:10:42Z
I've never had problems with the wifi or the availability of computers. I have a friend that works in the library so I know that there are always people around to help and they are all good at doing their jobs.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
