I find the student center to be extremely helpful; everytime I had a problem or a question I was assisted right away. I spend most of my time in the library, and there isn't a single thing I would change about it. There are designated study areas, tutor rooms, desks for individual study, computers, copier machines, etc. There are a lot of campus events that take place; however, it is difficult to get students to actually attend because of the many commuters. I wouldn't say there are too many campus traditions. Overall, I enjoy my school because I feel safe there, and everyone is always willing to help me when I have a problem or question. My only complaint is the little to no school pride.

There are 2 or 3 computer labs open to students, plus the library. The computer labs are a little bit more updated but all the PC's run fine. You do, however, have to pay 10 cents per page everytime you need to print/copy something. It's easier to just do things on your laptop and print things at home. I've never had a problem connecting to the internet and a I bring my laptop with me everyday.

There is no cafeteria or dining hall at the Waterbury campus but they do have a decently sized co-op. They serve coffee in the morning and have a wide variety of other beverages to chose from. Mostly people just get snacks to hold them over, but they do offer some sandwiches, wraps, and even chobani yogurts.

you're pretty much stuck inside as Waterbury is not the safest and greatest place to nonchalantly walk around and enjoy yourself.

Completely outrageous that I pay for tuition and I am expected to pay to print and make copies, I'm broke this is something I should not be dealing with!

Parking spaces fill up pretty quickly leaving you with no other options then to be late and park in the Magnet school's parking lot which is across the street from campus; at night it can be very scary walking through Waterbury!

The regional campuses are not in the best condition it seems that the main campus gets all the renovations while the regional commuter campus hardy see any.

Hardly no Friday classes. Classes aren't too difficult, but most of the professors are part time so office hours are limited as are ther qualifications to teach classes.

Average. They have one computer lab open and a few computers in the library... All PC's. Usually they don't fill up too fast in the labs.

There is no cafeteria on Waterbury campus. They have a co-op which serves over priced beverages that you can get at any gas station.

There are 2 parking garages, that in my opinion should be free to park at. If you have a morning class beginning at 8 am you're set for parking in the lot attached to the school, if not, good luck to you... I still don't know where the other lot is, but from what I understand it is in a sketchy area of downtown Waterbury.

Campus is beautiful, spread out but not many things to do.

I Don't Drive – I take the city bus to campus but the parking does seem to be pretty crowded. The parking pass in $40 for the year or $20 for one semester.

The facilities are ok but of course they are not as nice as the facilities on the storrs campus. The regional campuses could use some cosmetic work since they are older.

Pretty Good Experience – I kind of keep to myself most of the time being on the run to classes & the library to do homework. Education comes before my social life but when I do have time I do socialize with people that I've seen around campus.

There's a lot of different races. The diversity element is a big reason why I never feel out of place when I'm on campus. I like meeting different people and the campus size is pretty reasonable enough to accommodate that element of campus life for me.

Need More on Campus – At the Waterbury campus the main garage is fairly small and depending on when you ge t there you might have to park in the public garage which is across the street they have 2 floors for Unconn Waterbury students

Many Things to Do – The campus is like 15-20 mins away from downtown Hartford. The school is like a 5 min walk from the city bus lines. The campus has many student activities which are planned by our student government.

Amazing & Free Will – The academic setting gives us free range & independence to do as we wish. There are a wide range of majors to choose from & many paths to choose from academically. This school is amazing. The professors & staff really help out with everything which makes things easier on me as a student.

Drugs Free – Although some people smoke cigarettes just outside of the campus, haven't seen anyone do any drugs. Thanks to the UCONN cops that circle around campus and parking lots through out the day to ensure security of students and drug free environment.

I Stay Hungry – There's no food and dining at the West Hartford campus. It is understandable because it is a small campus. Although there's a mini-shop in cafeteria that you can buy snacks and drinks out of. I have to stay hungry because some days I have to stay at campus for the entire day and there's not much that I could eat to make my self feel full.

West Hartford is a very nice and rich town. Also the University of Connecticut Greater Hartford Campus is located nearly a mile from the West Hartford Center; which is filled with abundance of shops, restaurants and a nice and huge library known for the colossal statue of Noah Webster.

Plenty of Labs – The labs really only get crowded around midterms and finals. There are 3 computer labs as well as computers in the library. Most students have laptops and it's easy to get onto the school's security enabled internet.

Small Schools Are Good – I enjoy the UConn- Waterbury campus because it is so small and convenient. The people you meet there are likely to be in some of your classes and they are really nice. The teachers are so nice for the most part, and the events the Student Government puts on are really interesting.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
